An incredible venue for weddings and events. The textures alone and different large spaces are breath taking. The layout for last nights Washingtonian event allowed for a great flow of 350+ people. Wine tasting and cotton candy! A lovely evening, fun had by all. Highly recommend paying for parking two doors down ahead of time. Worth reserving
Lots of incredible works to look at and great for families. Dont pass up the opportunity to see this gallery.
Great time as usual. Went to a wine festival there and it was better than before which is saying something. Plenty of space.
Love the events at the longview! Great opportunity to see new artists every month or two!
I love coming here for the art events . Is so unusual and beautiful . They have cool gallery to look at and most people are so awesome . Plus they have a lot of fashion artwork.
Really bad ventilation and way too hot on a hot day. Would give no stars if possible.
Long View Gallery is easily my favorite venue for sponsored events. Ample floor space enables presenters to work creativity into the flow of the showroom, giving guests a comfortable experience without the typical stuffy feel of D.C. networking. As a frequent guest to events hosted in the Gallery, I can safely recommend it to anyone interested in a chic hot-spot to impress, and would encourage anyone to step inside and enjoy the experience.
Long View is a very well-regarded gallery in the DC area featuring excellent monthly exhibitions of a variety of artists. Ive long enjoyed the exhibit opening receptions - cant beat the complimentary wine! - and also recently attended several external events hosted in the space. I love the exposed brick and duct work; it feels edgy and urban but sophisticated. As an event center, the Gallery could be greatly improved by a few more bathrooms....but Im overall very impressed with Long Views management of every event Ive attended. The space needs little enhancement, the staff are friendly, the art is clearly of high caliber - its a great space!
Long View Gallery is beautiful, their is really good space for events and is totally worth it .
Beautiful and unusual art you won’t find in most galleries. Plus the space is cool and groovy...haha.
I attended an event here a few weeks ago and the Gallery was a great place for it. They have two main areas, once being the show room type area and another area up a short ramp towards the back that is nice for a VIP type area. It is easily accessible from the metro and fairly easy to spot on the street, thanks to the large windows in front.
Fantastic gallery with beautiful artwork. Siobhan was really knowledgeable of the artists, and she was very helpful and welcoming.
Cool art, great food! Thanks, Bloomberg!!
I recently visited this gallery for an event and was really impressed. The layout is very open and feels classy. It seems like a great place to host any type of gathering, party, or even a wedding reception. Plus, the art on the walls makes for great conversation starters.
Went here for #GoogleCityExperts Suddenly Spring Social. It was a nice venture and not too far off from the metro station. The only problem I had with the place might be more of Googles fault, but the walking traffic was a pain with no defined waiting lines. Lots of cutting butt munchers. Still, the venue is nice and better suited to modern art than other forms.
Ive only been here once, and for an event, but I liked it. The space is big and well lighted. Staff is courteous and helpful. Bathrooms are funky fresh and single staff ( a BIG plus with me).
I visited Long View Gallery for a Google City Experts event recently, and I really enjoyed the venue. It was quite spacious, and it seems very versatile. I wasnt a huge fan of the two tiny bathrooms, but other than that, I would definitely go back..!
Long View Gallery is a great space if youre looking to host a mid-size event. White walls and rotating art makes for an easily pliable/customizable space. Convenient central location and a metro stop across the street make it a win-win for all involved.
Ive only been here for events. But the venue is awesome
Glenlevit held a tasting event here that I attended. Very upscale swanky place. The tasting was a lot of fun and the venue was perfect.
I am a native Washingtonian and Im a bit ashamed to say that Ive never been in this space until I went to a Google event last night. since. This is such a great event space! As an event planner I was excited by what seemed like endless possibilities in this space. You can fit food trucks in here! There is also a TON of wall space for art work (obviously) and any other décor you can think of.Since its across the street from the convention center there are a few parking garages but to avoid the hassle (and the cost) I suggest just taking the Green or Yellow line to the Convention Center stop. I cant wait to go back for another event OR to check out some cool art pieces.
A lovely space for private events and of course, showing art
I visited Long View Gallery a Google event. The Gallery was mostly emptied out, so this is probably a better review for the event space (Ive seen a lot of programming listed here) than the actual artworks. The space allowed for multiple food and drink options, along with plenty of milling around and chatting areas. Just a couple blocks from the convention center, and the bevy of metro strops it allows.
Good for events.
Awesome experience at this galleryThe wife and I attended a Google City Experts event, and wow did they go all out.A great crowd, but didnt feel overcrowded due to the huge floor space. Im sure this isnt a regular feature, but they had designer food trucks onsite making grilled cheese, coffee and even root beer floats.I have to say that I didnt notice much art, but there was just too much going on... very distracting. However, if concentrated on a gallery show, this place would be a great location. Easy to get to from the Mt. Vernon Metro stop... walk a block and youre there.
Cool gallery, was here for a wedding and it was a great venue with plenty of space and the art added to the experience. Good location right by the convention center and 7th street.
Nice venue
Worth a visit to see the space and art.
Great event space!
Attended a wedding here. Really open space which made for a great venue
Long View Gallery is a cross between an art and an event space. I came here for a Glenlivet tasting this past week. Its a big, airy space with 20 ft ceilings and can hold up to 400 guests, so its useful for bigger functions. The gallery has modern track lighting and two halls. The main one was being used as a mingling/reception area and had been decorated with all sorts of gentlemanly trinkets like pocket squares, hipster glasses, an hourglass clock, etc. They had set up a small bar in the rear center. There was plenty of space to move around and check out the collections. The second hall, which is accessible by a ramp, is where the tasting occurred. They had decorated it with plenty of leather couches, pillows, and tables laden with 12/15/18-year old Glenlivets, aroma cannisters, a pitcher of water, and even candles. The space was large but cozy with all the furniture. They even have wall panels for projections. Its a great space for art shows, exhibitions, corporate get togethers, and even weddings. The doors and windows at the front are all glass and allow for lots of natural light to stream into the space. Its conveniently located near the Washington Convention Center.
Long View Gallery is becoming the go-to event space for the urban creatives in the District. Its located just a few blocks from the Mt. Vernon Metro in the historic and beautiful Blagden Alley a stones throw from some of DCs coolest places like La Colombe, The Dabney, and The Table. The gallery itself has two large rooms to host events. The decorations/style is neo-modern chic (I may have just made that up) creating an atmosphere that will inspire you to document every minute of the event on Instagram and Snapchat.I recommend this space for an event. Im not sure how much it costs, but from an event participants perspective, I felt cooler after visiting Long View Gallery.
