Black Rock Sailing School is a wonderful place to learn to sail. Brenton, the owner, is a rock star instructor. The boats are well equipped, modern and very well maintained. Class size is small with a maximum of three people, which gives you a ton of time to sail. Each day we had a lecture for approximately 2 hours followed by 5 to 6 hours on the water for a three days. I highly recommend Black Rock.

Incredible experience by a skilled instructor. I signed my girlfriend and myself up for the Black Rock ASA 101 course. I couldnt be happier with the results. Our instructor, Brenton, was fantastic. His approach was consistent and smart. By the end of the class, I felt very confident in the basics of sailing, and impressed at just how much there is yet to learn. I highly recommend this course and Brenton in particular. Great value. Additionally, Black Rocks willingness to work with the weather (more specifically, the wind) made for a much better sailing adventure. Ill absolutely be back for another course.

This school is awesome! Brenton is a great instructor. Hes clearly passionate about what he does and a very experienced boater. I had never even been on a sail boat, and by the end of the course I was sailing like a pro, ok maybe not a pro but I was comfortable and felt completely in control, wanted to sail all day! Its extremely relaxing and fun.
