I’m getting increasingly frustrated attending the 3 year old class with my daughter. The price is SIGNIFICANTLY more than we were being charged at our previous gym so I was expecting a lot more organization and great coaching. The coach is very young and sweet with the kids, but doesn’t run the class effectively or keep them on task. Currently she explains about 4-5 different activities to them at one time (while most of them aren’t even paying attention) and then sends them all to different stations to do the multiple activities she has shown them (which they’ve already pretty much forgotten by the time they get there). She then goes around to each kid and tries to help them do all the different activities while the other kids are running around, laying on the floor, not doing what they’re supposed to be doing, falling off the bars, and not being coached and parents are all yelling from the viewing box trying to coach their own children through the activities.Working with toddlers is like herding cats and their attention span is very short. I’ve discussed with management how it would be more time effective to have them line up and then all go through each activity together with the coach helping each one with their form one at a time and making sure they’re doing it right and not hurting themselves. But I’ve come to 2 more classes since then and the class is being run the same way and I feel it’s overpriced for what we’re receiving.I’m really not trying to be rude, but I can watch my child look lost and lay on the floor at home for free instead of paying $190 and driving 30 mins to the gym every Sunday. At the end of our sessions I think we will try to find somewhere else to go if this doesn’t change. We just moved to Detroit and at our old gym they had even younger kids than age 3 learning way more skills because of the way they ran the class and they let the parents on the mat to help them when needed. I really hope to see some change and improvement at the next sessions.
Very professional. High quality equipment & safety. Outstanding coaches, with great work ethics & values. This place is above all others. Received many awards. You have to go see for yourself to appreciate the gem of a gym it really is! Easily Five Stars! Absolutely.
We cancelled our membership in March 2020 and refused the credit for unused month due to Covid Pandemics. Management declined our request for a refund. We had no intention on coming back to the gym. I disputed charges. 6 months later, October 1st 2020, they charge my credit card without warning or authorization for $15 to cover charges from their merchant due to credit card dispute. What right do you have to charge my credit card? Its NOT about $15, its about management/owners feeling that they have the right to charge me without my consent. Tough time for your business doesnt approve using clients credit card without prior authorization. Unprofessional. I demand a refund and removal of my credit card formation from your files.
The trainers are brilliant, so helpful and Ive learnt so much so far. Met all of my targets and more!
I go here and it is so fun they are really nice the open gym is 5. Dollars it’s ok and the classes are a hr that give us time to learn and get better at gymnastics
Always clean and has enough training materials. The staff that works there are absolutely awesome and really make you feel welcome.
My Daughter Lindsay has been a part of The Extreme Gymnastics family for seven years.Extreme Gymnastics, from its recreation to competitive levels seem to promote a philosophy to help develop strong, independent and happy children. When I attend a training session, looking at the multiple training sessions, I witness their training staff dedicated to helping children reach their highest potential in gymnastics. With the competitive level, if a coach sees a moment needing correction, the coach does take the time to address the athlete with what may have happened, what to do next time through, and follow up with the next routine attempt.Jack McPherson
Hello!! Is this place going to be open? If so I would love to go to an Open Gym :)
My daughter has been coming here for a little over a year, the instructors she has had/have seem to be very involved and care about the kids which I like and the advance teams are awesome. I have notice my daughter getting stronger and I hope by next year this time she is even stronger.
My daughter is a student. Its always busy but the instructors take time so no child falls behind. This is our first year with many more to come.
Ive been having birthday parties and regular gymnastic here for a while its amazing

They put on a great private party and the classes are well run and my daughter has lots of fun
I used to like this place, but recently I realized a lack of professionalism. I am currently standing and watching how one of the instructors is performing her tranining. She is barely moving, looks like she is hating her job, drinking coffee and checking her phone non-stop, while coaching. Inbelievable.Im kindly asking management to monitor the coaching process and rectify the situation. Keep in mind that this has been going on for a while.
Fo their high prices you would expect them to have heat in the winter and air in the summer. Class was canceled a few times because of these issues.
The perfect balance of machines, free weights, equipment for athletes, not having to split equipment with personal training, cardio machines
The instructors do an amazing job with the older kids doing their backflips and volts. My daughter is 4 years old. Her instructor was not hands on at all. Too many instructions given to a small child at once. The instructor would do a 5-6 course task and then have the four year olds try to emulate it. The four year olds cannot remember that much at one time. Also, the instructors are more so teenagers, they tend to get distracted with the other classes. So as the children are completing the obstacle course they are not telling them if they are doing the task correct or incorrect or showing them how to do correct form. Feels like Im wasting my money.
We had my sons 4th birthday party at Extreme Gymnastics, and it was a major HIT!! We had kids ranging in ages from 4 up to 12, and Coach Courtney was amazing with them! She kept them all engaged, busy, and most importantly, having fun! The party room was great; all paper products were included, as well as clean up after. I wish we were able to have had a little longer in the party room; by the time they ate and had cake, we had to rush through gifts. Other than that, everyone left there happy and tired, and my son had a BLAST!! My 15 year old daughter also takes tumbling classes at Extreme, and has learned alot. We are very pleased with the entire staff and opportunities provided by the gym.
