Need to get dedicated pickleball facility

My son has played basketball with the rec department for 3 years. The refs favor one team over the other. The dont what they are calling and most of the time the calls are bad. My son has played 3 games. They have only had one practice. How are the coaches are suppose prepare the kids for a game when they they cant practice. Next year I dont think Im going to let my son play basketball for the rec next year, until the make some changes. New refs and a new system.

Worse ever experience they lie, I signed my son up for basketball requested one coach. He ended up with a completely different team, where the kids have to coach themselves. NOT WHAT I PAID MY MONEY FOR, BLIND LEADING THE BLIND... I called office I was told I’m not able to change team even though I had paid my money ??????

Terrible staff. Especially that lying Chelsey. I will be signing my son up in Perry from now on. Glad I pulled him from basketball this season because I apparently wasnt the only one she screwed over. Just ask the other coach.

The 2019 Georgia Golden Olympics were excellent. My wife and I competed in multiple events which were well coordinated. The Houston County staff was extremely helpfull and Vickie was very gracious as allways.We will be back in 2020 !

I am not looking for a babysitter for a kid! I am a senior in need of a good sanitary exercise room w/state of the art equip and pool! Not having to listen to a bunch of screaming kids! They dont allow that in Clearwater, FL! You bring your kids, and they are in a playroom thru 2 glass doors! I swear they are soundproof! That was the best Y I have ever been to! After reading these reviews, I doubt I will even go there!

Great place for indoor fun!

The parking is not the best but its an older building so it makes sense. The inside is very clean and there are people inside to help show you where to go.

Referees seemed to be bought off, calling fouls for nothing on one team and blatant fouls for the other team nothing. If you want you kids to be bullied and dropper on their heads without even a foul shot then this is the leave for you. We have video evidence of this going on and still nothing is being done. My son will not be back to this league untill this major problem has been addressed.....

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff is incompetent. Collectively they could not find they’re way out of a paper bag.

Shouldnt be knocked down

I paid for my son to play basketball with the rec center so he could get experience playing as a team and good sportsmanship. But unfortunately all we have had to deal with is aggressive couches encouraging unsportsmanlike conduct and referees unfairly calling games. The ref tonight was the last draw. His name is Joey (he looks like shaggy from scooby doo) he is either blind, does not know what he is doing or has some affliction with the other team. Anyway it was ridiculous. I Truthfully do not care rather my sons team wins or loses as long as it is a fair game. This team was not the best team when they started the season but they have worked hard and have gotten so much better. Unfortunately their spirits keep getting broken by these problems. This league is not the nba it should be a place for kids to learn but I have to say it’s very disappointing to see what is being taught.

My experience with them is from a long long time ago. There was a man there in the 60s and 790s that really put this recreation department on the map. Look up Father of Midget League Football and youll find him. Even though he is long retired, the system he built is solid. It runs very well and have plenty of activities for the local kids. If you are looking for a place for your child to play sports, other than school, this is an excellent choice.
