Need more friendly waitresses. Granted most customers are local so they probably cater to the local better. Its all good. Thats how it is. She probably read my mind that I would try to get her number or something lol. Im Filipino so just wanted to if she was the same as me. Never seen her again after that. So owner since you asked.

A resturant that knows how to manage tables! Excellent service, serving staff was awesome... i would turn down the music during day light serving (prior to 7for us old people) and crank it after. Just made it a little difficult to have a converaation.. but excellent cocktails and food!

Rude hostess, asked how long the wait would be for a table in the wait line, she said “I will work on getting you guys a table” 20 minutes later I ask her if there’s any tables and she said no I won’t have any in 3 hours or if someone cancels” ... I would have appreciated it if she told me beforehand and not have my party and I wait in the freezing cold, if she simply did not the time I would recommend saying “I’m not sure we are fully booked” and not a “I’ll see what I can do” and go gossip with the security guards... if you want to come here would recommend a reservation if not you will need wait out in the cold for god knows how long

I love this bar . If you are 30 and up you will feel right at home . Music is always different from throwback to groups playing. The have a pool table and games too.

Pretty fun bar with some cool events, it was my first time but we heard about live band karaoke. That sounds pretty cool, well have to come back for that. They made good drinks and the bar tenders were nice as well. Pinball and pool and some other games for those not into karaoke. Over all cool bar with a chill vibe

Great little local bar with live music. We started coming after a favorite musician played here. And kept coming back because they have amazing groups perform. Drinks are good. People are friendly.

Nice bar! They have events on certain days. Thursday is karaoke night and other days, sometimes live bands play cover/tribute songs. Theres a small dance floor, large bar area, and the other part of the building has 2 pool tables and arcade games. Theres a small parking lot in the front for about 20 cars and a larger parking lot in the back. Theres also street parking nearby.

We were charged for extra drinks that we never said yes to. Im still waiting for the manager to call me back :/

This place is a spot that you can come too and just be you. They will make what ever drink you choose and how ever you ask for it in my book now that is an establishment that I want to come too I love to explore new drinks and new places so when my friends did a performance here it ended up being a great one so yes I will definitely recommend Retro Junkie to everyone that asks to were to go to in Walnut Creek

I showed up at midnight with some friends who were really excited to try retro junkie for the first time because it was one of their birthday and your bouncers let people cut us while we took about 2 pictures. We tried to communicate and let them know what happened but they said it was their buddy’s on 03/14 and where not going to let us through. I will never again try to come to this club and will be talking to the manager tomorrow because they humiliated and disrespected our time when we tried to give them our service.

You love great live rock and roll cover bands and Great 80s DJ music to dance, this is the place for you. The atmosphere is incredibly joyous! Security very friendly but attentive. Bartenders are very friendly and very quick with making your drinks. A very 80s look type of place. Enjoy

Pretty fun place with an 80s vibe. Old-school video games and pinball machines and a couple pool tables. $10 cover for a live band. Plenty of parking behind the place. Drinks were good...pre-mixed Moscow Mule was surprisingly good and served in a copper cup. Will definitely go there again.

One of the more fun places to go out in Walnut Creek. I love 80s music and love dancing to it! They also play all the good stuff from the 90s and 2000s. Ive gone to their live band kareoke and its a great time. If you play an instrument or want to sing you can switch with one of the band members to play your song. So fun!

Really dope spot outside the city, gives you all the trendiness and shows and fun of the city while staying in the east bay. I really like the celebration of 70s-80s vibe and rock and roll life style. Dance floor is def bigger than anywhere else in WC and live music is always a win. Overall best dancing/concert bar in the WC area.

Too expensive. Too loud. Maybe most bars are like this, but I did not enjoy this one. I could not talk to the person right next to me without yelling. The live band was not good. The drinks were average. The atmosphere was weird. Dirty. I will not be back. But maybe it’s just not my vibe and others enjoy it.

I had a wonderful time here with my friends.

This place was so much fun on Saturday night. We got there a bit later in the night. About 11 and missed the live show but the DJ had just started up. Great line and door management by the security guy on the door. Checked our IDs and politely informed us of a very short wait and let us know what the cover was before entering. 10 dollar cover on a Saturday night st least that night which was a bit unexpected for the area but once we got inside it was well worth the cover. Security was quick and quiet to respond to a handful of removals of guests before they escalated and they did it with great professionalism without making a scene and were placed very well around the bar and dance floor. The DJ that night was amazing mixing various songs from the 80s and 90s and today. Classic rock and pop over his own edm type beats and transitions putting an awesome dance spin on many classic songs. There was a slight technical difficulty with the sound for just a split second but he recovered quickly. Bar service was pretty quick and accurate. Very slight wait there but understandably so given the large crowd. And the crowd was a nice mix of young and old leaning a bit more on the older side.

Looks are deceiving, this place has free parking in the front & back lot. Also the interior is spacious & well decorated. It definitely holds to its name as being retro 90s in a good way. The live band I came here to see wasent bad either. It was a Green Day cover band.You can find free tickets for some live performances here so it would be something to consider especially if your coming with a group for a fun night out. The VIP area is intresting, not sure what the point of it is here unless your getting bottle service in large groups. The bartenders are decent & have quick n good service.I noticed they have working pinball machines in the pool table area. Also two smoke destinations in the front & back of this place.

I was expecting more games to play. Pretty much like a regular bar with 5 pinball machines, Galaga, and some table games that look to be reserved. The $10 cover for each of us was a bummer when my wife and I were just looking for a place to play some games and grab a drink.

Great bands, very welcome and feel secure! Close to Bart and have been coming here for a while and dont even drink. It is used to be WPJSs. They have a nice water stand and there are people all ages there. DJ Darker Daze is one of the DJs I like after cover bands play!

This is not a retro gaming bar, there is hardly anything Retro about it. Bands suck and are loud, and no they don’t play retro tunes. 3 pinball machines and one hacked machine with bunch of games. I’ve seen dive bars with better games/drinks. Avoid this place.

The creek needs as many cool places as possible. This spot could be the best, right now its just in my top 5... go on an event night for a tribute band you truly enjoy or the vibes get stale quickly. Hear good things about live band karaoke. Great bartenders. Always popping off on the weekend so get on the guest list bring your beautiful friends or bring cover charge payment. Would give this place 5 stars however the owner needs to chill out. He could be a kinder and more useful guy. Minus 1 star for that. Everyone else on staff is wonderful.

Totally recommend this place! We had a great time at a Metallica tribute which I went out with my husband here. We had a blast! We still come here to have drinks with our friends. The environment is great and very friendly staff.

Nostalgia bar that plays loud 70s/80s music including cover bands who play obscure songs. Great dancing and drinks, but my ears are ringing.

I really like this place and the bands and dance floor are great, but it is way too loud. The live music actually hurts my ears. They offer ear plugs at the door for a reason! I dont get why they dont turn down the volume to help make it a pleasant and fun time.

There are very few burger joints in this neighborhood. However a well kept secret is that this place has my favorite burger in the area! Had the Big Kahuna Burger and it was great, also my buddy got the veggie burger and that looked good too! Highly recommended!

When to this place with a group of friends after dinner for some dancing and drinks and was not disappointed. This place is a awesome night club bar that had a DJ that played all the throwback dance hits. There are pool tables, pinball machines and arcade games to play in the back. Good times we will definitely be going back to this place many more times.

By far the best bar/nightclub Ive been to in the Bay Area since moving to Oakland in June. Chill vibes, great music, and reasonably priced drinks... Not to mention an exceptional staff - professional and sexy. Not inundated with testosterone filled college boys.Guaranteed great time.

So much fun. Band was great, DJ took 80s songs and turned them into 21st century dance music. Very impressed. Great, lively, friendly crowd as well. At times I felt like I was at a wedding. Drinks a tad expensive, but not surprised - all like that now.

Very fun bar, one of the few in Walnut Creek open until 2am. Lots of character of its own and hosts cool, unique events that you usually have to drive to Oakland, Berkeley or SF to enjoy.

Ambiance was great! The place is really clean. Good crowd. Expect to pay $10 for vodka soda and $9 for Bacardi and Coke. The music is way too loud for that small of a venue but they did have a great band tonight.

Very cool aesthetic. lots of 80s nostalgia - Revenge of the Nerds, Cocktails, Stand By Me. They have a setup for live bands and also have a great DJ and a decent sized dance floor. Drinks are about average for the Walnut Creek Area. The crowd is a nice blend of young and more mature.

I really liked it despite the wait to get in and the odd dress code. The place was packed and the Tom Petty cover band kicked some serious ass. Good selection of actual beer and just an overall pleasurable experience. Definitely would come back.

First time I have been to this new hotspot in Walnut Creek! Such a cool spot, my heart is so happy to have a really fun spot to go to in the neighborhood. The staff is really nice and the decor is unbelievable. I highly recommend you check it out especially if you like to dance. They have an incredible dance floor! :)
