Great Oaks Cinema

Its truly a great value. In so many cases, you go to see a movie and its expensive for a family. Here, its a great value. Its older, yes. Its not super large seating or fancy things. Its comfortable, its got great sound, and its relaxing. By all means, its well worth your hard earned dollar and it helps support a local business.

Great little affordable theater.

This is an old school theater, locally owned, probably by the same people that ran it in its heyday. Sound system is good, picture quality is more than adequate... Seating isnt stadium, and chairs are not living room quality, but what I love about this theater is its value.The movies are the same as every theater, but here, the ticket prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the snack stand is down right cheap for a movie theater. I can take my whole family to the theater, treat everyone to the snack bar, and NOT be forced to second mortgage my home. Movies are usually not too busy, and as I said, my wife and I love the nostalgia that this theater provides. I truly hope this theater is around for a long time to come.

Very nice friendly staff. Prices for snacks seem to be the going rate. It is an older theater, but very clean. Quaint neighborhood theater. No hustle, bustle. Price for theater tickets less than other places. They do have $5.00 Mondays.

This is a great alternative to some of the larger movie theaters, as the prices are much lower, but you can still catch the latest releases. I think this is starting to become our go-to (along with Lake 8 in Barberton) for hitting movies with the kids!

Great Oaks is the bomb and if you dont come here to see every movie ever then youre missing out. Staff is so cool and friendly. Extreme bang for your buck. Go to Great Oaks. Seriously the staff is awesome. Great popcorn for reasonable theatre prices. Did I mention how great the staff is?

First run, great prices, pop corn is just ok.

Small town, two theater cinema. The seats dont have cup holders but, were all just spoiled, lets be honest. Very affordable.

$8 adult ticket. Movie pack, consisting of popcorn, a small pop, and Reese cups, $4.75. Great sound and picture quality. Friendly staff. Overall a good deal for a movie these days, and they advertise $5 Mondays as well. They only have 2 theaters, which typically carry major blockbusters or childrens films, but they clearly post and preview which films are coming up next.

First they put us in the wrong theater and had us move to another after getting there an hour early to save good seats. Then the movie projector breaks down in the middle of the movie... You get what you pay for I guess....

Good inexpensive local place to see a movie...seats are not very comfortable (old style) reminds you movie theaters 25 yrs ago.

Full digital picture and sound is great. This is a very quaint and old school theatre. Dont expect reclining chairs and a lot of room. Been going since childhood and is a great alternative to Regal.

Great staff at Great Oaks!We are always met with a smile from staff that seem to really like their job. The movie theatre has an old school feel. The place was clean. The movie was great quality. I felt like I got my moneys worth there.

I always like going here. They can only show two movies at a time, but usually they have very good movies playing. Not many people come here which makes it a great place to come during the week as you can have the whole theater to yourself which is very fun when you are with friends and lets you be able to wnjoy the movie more without people talking around you.

Its an older theater but the prices are great. Unfortunately, the sound stopped half way through our movie. The mgr was very apologetic, gave use passes to come back as well as extras.

The concessions staff was kind and courtiuos. Picture quality for the movies are great. Love the hometown feel of this theatre! More affordable than the big chains like Regal and Cinemark.

Lovely place really gives you that “ I wanna come back to this theater” vibe. Staff is phenomenal offered great service to all my needs. For example, i spilled my popcorn, and they cleaned it up for me no cost. My seat was a little squeaky (theater 2, row 5 seat 8 from the right), but it surprisingly added to the whole experience. I’m no rookie at reviewing so it’s not a solid 5/5, a more realistic scoring for this establishment is a 4.77!

The theater may not be as modern as some, but they still run some decent ticket specials.

Everyone working there rocks, never had any issue. They hired a new manager named Kevin, truly rude.

Honestly, its slightly a dump, but a very lovable one. The screens are good and the staff is awesome, but they need new seats and to remove the shaq carpet WALLS, yes, walls. haha!The charm is unbeatable as it seems the place is stuck in the early 90s, but by God, we need to save places like this! Oozes charisma.

Great theater! They have a concession stand with popcorn, candy and drinks! The theater (from my experiences) is well kept and clean. Any movie that is out, you can go there and watch and have a good time.

We need to support our local businesses. Great Oaks Theater is easy free parking, easy in, good matinee prices, no lines, your choice of seats, easy out and always get the latest shows. Love going there!

Good to still be able to go to the theater that I went to when I was a kid. One of the only buildings in Wadsworth that have not been removed or replaced. Other than a box of stale candy, it was nice to go there again. Friendly staff as well.

Ive been coming to this theater since I was a little kid in the late 90s. The place hasnt changed much over the years, affordable tickets and concessions and plenty of memories of movie going. I wish they would show more than two different movies a week but thats what you get with only two theaters, and they havent updated it for a long time as there arent any cup holders and the seats are cramped. But nonetheless its always a pleasant experience, I recommend this place for anyone.

Great lil cinema!

Small place. Two screens that seems to be the same for 20+ years. (Shag carpeting on walls). Concessions are cheaper, but adult ticket is still $8. Newer movie, but 80s decor.

Clean bathrooms. Older theatre but clean. Only complaint is the design of theatre. No entry foyer so whenever doors are open light from lobby pours in. Very distracting. Lots of parking.

Took the kids to see Black Panther. The movie was great, but the entire row in front of us had their phones put playing on them. Staff did nothing about it even though they saw it and people complained.

Amazing popcorn. Really better popcorn than any other theater. I dont know how they do it. The movies are ok quality. The screen has a few blemishes, and definitely some hot spots because of high gain screens, and the audio is just ok. but that popcorn makes up for all of it. :)...one more note, the seats need more cushion...

Prices are excellent for both concessions and movies. Support a local business!Chairs are very old and somewhat uncomfortable. Red interior reminds me of my grandmothers Ford Crown Victoria she had in the 90s.

The price is right at Wadsworth Great Oaks Cinema. They have a limited screen selection, but with a snack bar and lower prices, it works for the casual moviegoer.

The best thing about this theater is its admission prices ($6 movies). The movie quality is good, and so are the refreshments. A complaint would be the seating which probably hadnt been replaced in years.

Ticket prices are decent, but the screen in our theater has garish lines down the center that distract from the movie.

Seats are very uncomfortable but for 5 dollars for any movie it’s pretty nice. Popcorn is way cheaper than anywhere else around.

Not as busy as the Akron theaters and the prices are more reasonable. They have low prices on Mondays to draw people in. I do think the sound is not as good as it should be.

Thats the most crappy movie theater Ive ever been! The movie just stopped in the middle, they turned the lights on and had to reboot the server! They said it happens from time to time, and after rebooting it works again! How is that possible?
