After all the Ice cold beer I drink here, I now have to file for chapter 11

After moving to Waco to be with my father, I am from The Bay Area in Cali for 28 years and lived in Connecticut/NYC for 15 years, this place is one that is clearly not a chic NYC lounge and that is evidenced when you drive up. With that said, it shouldn’t be a shock to those who are giving it low stars due to it being “a dive bar”.... I’ve learned a few things - “dive bars” are the places that inhabit ‘regulars’ which keeps it far safer and FRIENDLIER than any tres chic bar/lounge/club I’ve beeN to. Perhaps it’s an age you hit where that is the atmosphere that you can appreciate. I know I do. Then again, the south continues to impress me with just down to earth, “I am who I am, take it or leave it” kind of people. In my early 20’s, I’m sure I would have judged it harshly. But I’m a far different person now and quite frankly, a heck of a lot more content with myself which breeds positive vibes and FAR less ‘off the cuff’ judgements because they are 98-% of the time completely unfounded and small minded. So thumbs up! If you like a friendly staff and even friendlier regulars, pool, live music, a huge outdoor area and great drinks, you’ve found what you’re looking for. If you’re expecting something opposite, then you may need to pay closer attention to your surroundings when driving in and parking. ;)

The bar is a dive. Better know someone if you are going and a local.

Best cocktails in town. Big Mike still works the door so no riff raff allowed.

Friendly bartenders nice people all over all n all a pretty good atmosphere and nice place to hang out and make new friends
