It was BEAUTIFUL !! The ambience of this place was was warm, inviting and meaningful . All the art made us stop, stare and think. We hunv around way longer than we thought we would. Downstairs is some great artwork. The you take the beautiful stairs and you reach the most creative and worth working for workspace. I was totally imagining that THIS is what I would like to work and create ideas in. Just amazing. Highly recommended to anyone that has the slightest interest in art and/or wants to look at a great example of a workspace.
My date and I loved their First Friday event! The art was thought provoking, and the vendors had tasty food and drinks. We loved exploring the studios of the artists while live music was going on. First Friday is a great option for a date night!
Cultivate is one of Wacos hidden gems. Its a gallery, studio space, gift store, and venue all combined. They also have a room in which they regularly host art, yoga, and dance classes. Cultivate is located in one of Wacos historic downtown buildings, right next to the Hippodrome. I personally have studio space there, and its a wonderful, affordable place to work surrounded by other artists. The gift shop is a great place to shop for unique handmade gifts (and it also supports the local art scene). Theres something for everyone there!
First time st Cultivate. Space is amazing with an upstairs artists studios. Downstairs exquisite Art work from our local painters is displayed. Art work us changed every first Friday of the month. I was there for a reception, and the atmosphere couldnt be more perfect. Soft jazz guitarist and delicious munchies. I will go back to see the newest artwork. If you go check hours since they are not open the traditional M-F.
Cultivate 7Twelve is the best art galleries around. I stop by every opportunity I have because they always have something new. Also the staff are always friendly and willing to answer any questions I have.
If I could give this less than a star, I would. Events should be special and stress-free. Unless you want to get gray hair by the end of your event... do not host an event here...This is where I had my graduation party from Baylor. If you are not interested in details; long story short, I repeat, DO NOT HOST AN EVENT HERE. If you would like to know more, here it is...I met with the owner Feb. 22, 2019. I have all of my notes from that meeting. The owner laid out all of the things that they will provide and that was covered in our payment as well as the the things we were responsible for. I met with her, along with my mother who can attest to all of this, for about an hour. We went over our vision of the night, our total number of guests, who we were catering from, etc.It is finally May 18th and we arrive at Cultivate to set up. This is where it all went south...The previous party is still occurring, the bathrooms are filthy, we end up taking out their trash, our linens were mysteriously stolen and are nowhere to be found, the projector for our video does not work, the servers are not there, the dishes and silverware (supposed to be provided) are all dirty from the previous party, and the list goes on.No event runs smoothly, however, I would have loved for the owner to handle the issues with grace and professionalism. Instead she talked badly about me and my mom to our own guests, met me with attitude, and eventually disappeared instead of handling the issues. After paying a large sum of money for an event to last from 6 pm to 10 pm, the owners husband started cleaning up at 9:15 pm, disturbing our guests, as if they needed anything else to turn them off. These are just the highlights of the things that went wrong. And might I add, continue to go wrong even after the event is over and we are trying to get our security deposit back.So unless you want your grandma cleaning her own dishes, your guests fumbling around to set up a party they were invited to, and to be talked badly about by a stranger... do not host an event here.
It was very cultural! I loved seeing do many pantings. People expressing themselves and making Waco look so great.

Great gallery with almost strictly Waco artists! Owner, Rebekah, has amazing vision for serving the community through the use of this very flexible space and through the art and artists that contribute their talents. Not stuffy at all and great little retail/gift area.
