I went here for the first time in 6 years on Halloween night a few days ago. When I first got in I went to the bar and ordered 2 Coronas and left my tab open. Since I never went back to get anymore drinks I forgot that I opened a tab. The next morning I realized that I left my card at the bar and of course they’re closed till next Friday. I checked my bank statement and I was charged $122.47 for 2 beers. I guess they figured since I left the card they can charge whatever and say I ordered it but if u look at their cameras from that night they can see I only went to the bar one time. I’m gonna dispute the charges cause I think that’s the lowest thing u can do to a customer that’s coming into your establishment. I’ll post the outcome of the situation later on.

All the staffs are nice and friendly. You can chat with them. I came here in their happy hour which you can get many drinks in 2.5 dollars per cup. The environment is good, I didn’t see anything dirty and the people here don’t do something bad. What you need to do is relax and dance, pretty nice!I forgot myself and think about nothing .Chatting with my old friends and new friends, we all got happy here. I also like the dancing, everyone looks so excited haha !Really enjoyed that, I would come here again when I try to relieve myself.I think it’s a not bad choice for everyone too!Enjoy!

The bartenders are hot and there is a atm nearby, but I had a few problems. I open a tab and bought 7 drinks for me and my sister. The total came out to 177 dollars and the dj played a few good songs.

Great security, great drinks and music. There’s a cover charge. $10 for men and $5 for girls on a Saturday. Thankfully they have an ATM right outside the line of the building.

Best club in Virgina Beach and for me because I’m underage military so its definitely a place to hang out. Rachel is a amazing waitress she is always attentive and friendly. Few things I wish the club did to better itself is take credit card for cover charges, maybe give military rates, and offer loyalty benefits for people that come there often.

Was in Virginia Beach for the weekend with my two brothers. We decided that we wanted to go out Saturday Night. We drove in circles around the area looking for a place to have a good time. Never been to the area before and that can be a bit intimidating but It seems cool with plenty of staff and a line we figured why not give it a try. I have honestly never felt more safe, and confident in a club before. Plus they had Irish Trash Cans and Jesus Lord what an Awesome time! Wont ever for get it! Thanks Peabodys! Yall do it right!

The crowd is awful. Everyone looks like they are 12 until the ugly lights come on at 2 and then they look 40. Drinks are expensive and staff is snobby.

Cool club/bar, but they charge underage DDs double to get in. The normal price is $10 but for underage people it’s $20.

You can’t come as go or feel as comfortable as you want, Discrimination really.

Just moved back to virginia 2 weeks ago and decided to try out peabodys and i loved it been going back ever since. Definitely the best club on the oceanfront. Great music great crowd. Friendly staff awesome bar tenders would definitely recommend trying it out if your new and want to have a good time.

I love going to Peabodys its the best nightclub at the ocean especially year round too and staff is super friendly and respectful too and brandon is a fantastic owner and friend

The best bar/club in all of Virginia Beach!! I would highly recommend! The drinks are priced well and the bartenders and waitresses are awesome and provide great quick service! From the moment you walk through the doors they greet you and make you feel like family. The food is great thanks to Chase!Overall this is one of the best clubs I’ve ever been to and is a must attend while you’re in Virginia Beach...they won’t disappoint!

Great happy hour drinks, big dance floor

We went to Peabody’s during SITW for the Fader Fort event. The security, bartenders, bathroom attendants were all very friendly.It’s pretty spacious inside. The atmosphere was nice. The food was pretty good. The drinks were good just seemed a bit watered down.Overall we had a good experience. If we’re ever back in town we would go again.

They servers cater to single men as if your money doesn’t spend the same. The servers are racist and rude and ask for your money up front as if you are trying to walk out. I wouldn’t go there. They aren’t friendly and a terrible establishment.

The staff is rude! If they decide they dont like you, despite being polite to them, the bartenders will ignore you for 45 minutes until other patrons ask what their deal is and to serve the person waiting. The dance floor is nonexistent. Im still blown away by the horrible service.

They would not let me use the bathroom as I left the bar. The Male staff person ran into the womens bathroom to make sure I would leave. I hate this place and it makes me dislike VA beach because of the racism. I have never experienced this in my life.

Went last night to the dubloadz and dion timmer concert and was having a good time til I had a staff member bust the bathroom stall door open on me while I was using the bathroom to ask me what I had in my hand (which was my phone). He then waiting for me to get out to grab me by shirt and take me outside just to tell me Im fine to go back in. I asked why he barged into the stall and he said that people reported I was smoking marijuana in the stall but what I think is funny is wouldnt the bathroom have smelled like it? Overall the place was crowded and had a lot of rude staff members walking around in everyones way shining flashlights everywhere. Very bad first experience I dont even wanna go back. All I can say is if you go you can probably count on some creep busting through the bathroom door considering they dont even lock

Since 2018I had it in my thoughts and in mind to give more stars but unfortunately the lovely woman that I had talked to you the most using my passion poupos and magic. She told me that if there was anything I needed at all to just ask. I gave her my business card and ask her to call or text so that we could go out on an event and activity together later that week. unfortunately even after 8 days she hasnt called. Im on a missions. I did give you a second star because there was this really cute Blondie girl that tripped as she was walking on the dance floor. I helped her from falling if only she would have though of me as her hero of Peabodys . Maybe we would have been dancing together, instead of dancing in my head.

Having a great time in virginia beach until I decided to go to this place. I was looking to have a good time so I checked it out, first of all it costs $20 to even get in and thats after being ridiculed relentlessly by the larger than average body guard. I decided to talk with some fellow mexicans through google translate and they offered to buy me a drink and I immediately got kicked out. 0/10 dont reccomend unless you are in a very depressed state.

Was pretty skeptical about going here because I heard so many reviews about it being the college club. I am in my mid-20s so I was a little skeptical. Yes, there is beer pong and a small dance floor. However, Peabodys has its perks. The inside is spacious so you can have fun without being on the dance floor if you like. The dance floor can get crowded but they have spots on the dance floor where fans are blowing providing much needed air. On top of it all, DJ OH! BOY was on top of his game. Provided the best music experience that I have heard in years. He was the cherry on top of the experience.

Back when I lived in Chesapeake (2007-2010) and Newport News (2010-2012), I used to go to Peabodys for fun. Great bar selection, decent pricing, and always-good service from its staff. I never once had a bad or quirky experience here.

Peabodys is definitely my all time favorite night club in VB. My girlfriends and I always have a good time and meet tons of hot people. There arent many places around here that match, or even come close to the night life that Peabodys offers...its just a different vibe there. The energy is high, everyone is dancing and who doesnt love that happy hour deal? I swear, I cant get enough...I love you guys and I love your nightclub. See ya tonight!

This place doesnt even deserve one star. Its incredibly dirty, old and one of the worst places Ive ever been too. Certain aspects of this place wouldnt even pass health code. After paying a $20 cover charge the power went out. We were promised they would get the power back on, yet it never happened. Instead they kicked everyone out, and refused to give us our money back. Meanwhile, the whole rest of the street had power. On top of that, the manager sexually harassed us after asking him for our money back. They are lucky we didnt press charges. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time or money on this place. It should be shut down and someone else that knows how to run a business should reopen it. Come to Peabodys if you want to waste your money and get incredibly disappointed.

Just know under 21 is allowed here. Overall this is a great beachfront venue. Great bands and djs come here from time to time. Buy a special peabodys cup for great priced drinks as well. 2 drinks and you save double the cost of the 3$ reusable cup!

My friends, husband and I love going down here.. we have gotten to know some of the staff and they are the best! This is a great place to come for ANY of their holiday themed event... Plus happy hour is the best.. :)

Went on an impulse with group of friends and overall enjoyed the night. The waitresses were extremely helpful and nice.Music selection was not the best that night ( I heard it changes). Each song was heavily remixed so that it took time to understand what song it was and what the new beat was. By the time you were able to catch on, the music was suddenly switched to the next song.Beyond music, and Shaggys untimely interruptions, overall alright experience. It is what you make of it and we still managed to have some fun.

Last night was my first night here. Great customer service from bartenders and staff. Great mixture of music. Nice crowd of individuals. Great food and drinks. Couldnt ask for anything more.

I only come for happy hour and my favorite waitress is VIDI ! This place has the BEST happy hour in town.Thursday - Saturday 7pm-9pm. Great food items (not on happy hour) along with $1.50 drinks. If yo havent gone i suggest you try it out with friends, and bring money to tip your wait staff they will take care of you if you take care of them

I was very disappointed. First time @ this establishment, but not @ Va. Beach. It was a family affair, so we had a few that were under 21 with us and we all wanted somewhere close to chill and have a good time. The first set of our group made it in, but my daughter and I didn’t. Due to the dress code. Mind you, I am well over the age and I felt I was appropriately dressed for a “beach club”. I’m sorry, but having a pair of AE jeans on with rips in them, ( no where in areas that shouldn’t have been showing) I felt was def ok. And my daughter had on similar, jeans as well. I don’t where they do that @, smh but I was glad they didn’t receive my $$$. But yet, young girls with dresses/ skirts with it all hanging out was more appropriate for this establishment. Whatever.

Best club in VA hands down!

Went there for an end-of-league party, and a nightclub is an odd choice for something like that. The music was very loud, so it was impossible to talk. If I had gone there for a nightclub experience, I would have really enjoyed myself. Maybe. The music wasnt really dance music in my opinion. I realize Im not the target age group, but no one else was dancing, either. So I left.

This place is good for underage drinking and the staff letting their underage staff letting their friends in with fake IDs when they arent being investigated kinda ridiculous but the scam artist are at work for the money not the community or youth ....

Meh. $10 cover charge, $3 for a cup so you can buy drinks at a normal price ($3.50), $2 per coat check. ALL coats and sweaters MUST be checked. I went when it was still cold. I like the place well enough, but I was wearing layers and they forced me to check everything in. I could understand their reasoning if this place were classier, but its not.

Went to pay cover at the door to get in, and the guy working looked me up and down ( Im covered in tattoos btw) and proceeded to inform me that I wasnt allowed in because I had nikes on.dude plz I make ur years salary in 30 days.1st time Ive ever actually been discriminated against for having ink in my skin...and btw those brand new Nikes I had on cost 235$.guess I shoulda wore Skechers from the clearance rack...sorry not sorry.glad I wasnt allowed in.where Im from in the Midwest, they dont discriminate, and me and my dude drop thousands $$$ like nuthin.guess my next vacation spot will def be elsewhere.

Loved this place! It was so much fun, and the drinks were so cheap! We were hesitant on going because of all the negative reviews, but we had an amazing time, and ended up staying until they closed. Definitely recommend!!!

The music is always good but a make bartender decided not to serve my boyfriend because he didnt tip. My boyfriend tips at the end of the night so the guy didnt need to be a total douchebag about it. That is a joke. They want money but they dont wanna serve people.

Got in at a 10$ fee while my friends who happen to be poc were getting charged extra to get in Saturday night. Clearly discriminating and it had nothing to do with thier dress code which is loosely enforced otherwise. Would not recommend to any poc. There are better clubs/bars in the area.

Went to peabodys drinks were good dance floor was hopping... thanks in large part of me just being awesome when low and behold a large group of women were dancing on the stage with the dj. I thought to myself that looks like fun so being the adventurous man I am I jumped up on stage to have my fill of the o so sweet stage dancing when to my surprise I was immediately asked to get down. Upon further questioning from my oppressor he stated the reasoning was because I was not a girl with my jaw dropped he continued saying what kind of club would I want to be in one with girls dancing on the stage or guys. Flabbergasted I responded I would want to go to a club where everyone no matter race religion gender or sexuality can dance on the stage if your letting one type of person do it it should be open to everyone because America. Now Im not the type to hold a grudge if Peabodys was to publicly apologize to me and repeal the sexist policy of women only stage dancing I would accept that apology and hug it out with the owner and delete this review all as a gesture of good will. Other than that everything was ok but still 1 star till that problem is fixed

First club i went to #18andlegal but that place is so overrated honestly i tried so hard to link vibes with the music but absolutely nothing. That place will put you straight to sleep.

So even though I was not happy with the service the night I went I have to say instead of Peabodys saying oh well with negative reviews they did take time out to write me back . You cant say that about alot if businesses around here. They do care enough to fix a problem if its fixable thank you!

While reading the description for this establishment it mentions black people . What does that mean? Does it mean that black people are allowed to enter and spend their money ? Had a terrible experience here with my girlfriend. The DJ was a poor excuse for an event. The bouncer tried to charge me $20 at the door. I paid $5 after negotiating. Drinks were expensive & weak. Lots of touchy older men looking for younger girls. Badatmosphere.

If you advertise Saturday nights as LED: Lights, Electro and Dance, you should play EDM. Not Bruno Mars, not the Thong Song.. Not Get Low. They played a little bit, but the night was filled with pop and dance music from the early 2000s. Not what I was expecting. The drinks were a little expensive, but the service was just fine. Bartender females were hot, service was good. Just.. the music was really, really bad.

My sister and I had our 30th Birthday there. It was awesome. The music was outstanding and we enjoyed the night so much that we didnt wanna to leave. The Peabodys staff was amazing. We got the VIP room and had a blast. Happy hour was awesome. Go check it out!!!! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Peabodys for our amazing night out there.

Crowd too young Good for kids but Not for an adult crowd

Went there yesterday with two of my girlfriends it was on the spare of the moment but I really enjoyed myself. The music was good the place was kept clean besides the dance floor had a few spilled drinks but it wasent a hazardous problem. The drinks were cheap and its $5 for ladies to get in which is not to bad. Im definitely going back there this weekend!!!

Dj on Thursday night does not know how to work the crowd. His EDM was below par. Talk about a way to make customer drinkers who want to dance want to leave. Horrible how do you ruin black Beatles . A song with all you have to do is hit play. I love edm I like all danceable music. Lol just do a better job and work with the crowd the paying customers

The Djs here are not good at all. They are extremely sexist.They let girls who are 14 years old into the club. But let a under age male try to get in. Its a no go. They play the same playlist every single night. Often times the music stops in the middle of a song and they try to play it off. The only time its good to go to Peabodys is when a Streetz Promo Dj or a Bass Nation Dj performs.

If I could give no stars I would. This club and its employees are racist!!!! I went there from Newport news ( a forty five min drive) to celebrate my birthday and they instantly turned me and my party away giving some cockamamie crap about my mans jeans being too baggy because he and the other guys had on button ups and there was nothing else for them to say. I recommend this club to trendy white people only. If you are looking for diversity this is not the club for you. However I strongly recommend shakas across the street. The drinks are strong and not pricey. They have two djs and two bars and a smoking room so you dont have to step outside (unlike peabodys) the music is really good and the dj takes request.

Went on EDM night (Saturday). And music was sub par. They didnt actually play EDM all night which sacked. I enjoyed myself but was not amazed by the dj or atmosphere. My first time at Peabodys and I would say it seems to be a hit or miss place.
