I went in to buy some Arches Watercolor paper and decided to browse. I came out with several new brushes and about a dozen tubes of watercolor paint... And I forgot the the Arches! I was so happy over the paints I forgot.I love that store!

My husband and I venture here quite often. This is a great little place. They have all you need for your arts desire. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you find what you are looking for. You can also get your art framed in the back of the store. The last time we had something framed here, it looked awesome.

I live for this store. They have AMAZING customer service. Its a little price but you get what you pay for. I recommend to any artist.

Walked in 40mins before closing on 12/1/2020 for the first time looking for gift ideas. I saw 3 employees and not a single one greeted us or asked if we needed help finding anything. Left without purchasing after walking the entire store. Due to the lack of customer service, we do not plan on bringing them business. They do have a lot of stock for those just looking to grab what they need and get out.

Im not an artist but my daughter writing with different materials so we stopped by and there was a demonstration going on so we joined in and had the best time...Staff is friendly and helpful even to a novice like us..

Within each media is a wide range of choices. You can find a set of beginner tube watercolors for $20 up to high end individual small tubes and half pans. Same for other media. Many brushes, shapers for variety of media. Batik, marbling, dyeing, lino printing, bookbinding, papers of all types, variety of tapes, etc. .

Went with two 13yo girls to a free demo by Auggie, did the make & take art for $5. Had fun, plan to go again!

This store has the best and most eclectic variety of real and high quality art supplies of any store I know of in at least 3 states. If you cant find it here, its probably junk or you really dont need it! Prices are higher than your average crafts stores but extremely reasonable for what you are actually buying. Quality costs more. Here, everything is quality.

Generally I like coming to Jerry’s but the last few times I’ve been I was treated very rudely by the newer employee Cheyenne, every time I would ask for assistance she would roll her eyes and sigh and at first I just assumed she was having a bad day but now I’ve come to the realization that this girl is just a brat. I asked her for her managers name to call back when I left and she said it was Lana and when I called back there was no manager by that name??? Interesting! Will not be coming back here until they hire people who actually care about art and good customer service.

Jerrys artarama is the hands down, best place to buy art supplies in Hampton roads. Their prices are the lowest and the quality the highest. The staff is always very friendly and they have a rotating calendar of classes and events for the community. They also have a custom framing shop and child level activities and supplies. I highly recommend for any artist to come visit. They do not have many craft supplies such as stickers and yarns so go to Michaels for that but if youre looking for anything fine art related Jerrys is the place to go

The people have the patience of Jobe. We went to paint rocks. When we were done, while our rocks were drying, we went to shop. My daughter was thrilled to find rocks but got carried away looking for them. She knocked over canvasses, pulled the strap off of the line divider, and quickly had an arm full of rocks. A sweet lady offered her a bag to carry them and helped her get them in it. She was so patient and kind. I had assistance picking out markers as well. Excellent place!

My favorite place locally to buy all my art supplies. I order online as well for a larger selection (price online is sometimes lower than in the store). They have just now started offering free pick up from the store for all online purchases. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help with questions or whatever your needs are.

I have been personally purchasing my art supplies here for the 4 years I have lived in Virginia Beach. They have almost everything you could need to do traditional art and then some. This includes everything from sculpting clay, traditional stone fire clay, book making media, all sketch and drawing books from water color to tracing paper. They carry high end products like Montana paint pens to Prisma color markers and pencils, and other non-mainstream brands which are just as good or even better. Their prices are more than reasonable, especially if you are worried about paying a 10 dollar shipping charge for copic markers you purchase online, you can get them all here. They also offer a large variety of canvas paper and cloth, from patters to textures and will cut them to length on site. They are a huge supporter of local artists and the entire store has been decorated by staff and customers as well as have stock of videos made by local artists on how to do certain techniques and projects. This is a must for anyone looking for those hard to find art supplies, you will not find anything like it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby I can guarantee it, I have tried.
