Boomtown USA RV Resort

Great staff. Completely rebuilt RV resort after hurricane Harvey in 2017. Brand new swimming pool and hot tub and 55 new concrete sites built in 2020.

Amazing staff and even better owners. I am going to miss everyone but our time has come to head home. This is a very nice and clean location. They have all the amenities u can think of. My kids loved the kayaks and the trampoline. The pool is very nice and I love how the heat is set to a timer for the hot tub. Highly recommend this place if we didnt have to get home we would definitely still be there.

I live here for work and my family and I enjoy the staff, swiming at beach and pool, fishing, kayak and paddle boat. This rv resort offers a variety of fun activities to accommodate the whole family. We love Boomtown!

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!We had a wonderful stay at the Boomtown RV resort until the management doubled the electric bill without notice and at the same time changed the monthly billing cycle to a 28 day billing cycle! This means all guests will have to pay 13 times in 2021and 2 payments in July 2021 if they choose to stay for the year!Finally, The management made everyone move their RV.s prior to Hurricane Laura or they would force them to be towed at the owners expense or, their application would be rejected.Now that we have evacuated from the storm using all available funds and not being able to move back into the park due to the power outage, they have charged my debit card for the electric bill without permission and depleting my account with an overdraft charge!

I cant really say much about it. Its on a pretty lake. We thought it would be a peaceful place to stay and since the hotels are so expensive it might be worth checking out. I mean how expensive can it be to sleep in a shed? ( but at least they have air conditioning). Well it turns out it was really expensive and considering the pandemic you would think the prices would go down..not the case. Its double what I was paying at a hotel and I didnt have a community shower at the hotel. Guess I will spend a little time at Home Depot or Lowes if I feel the need to hangout in a shed. Maybe its a lot of fun..I really cant judge. But too bad I wont find out. Not at that prices. Best of Luck Boomtown..I hope sales are Booming!

Boom town has a pool, dog wash, dog run,bikes for kids. showers and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. Staff is very friendly and attentive to everyone.

Well first off Id like to start out with her raising the prices 100 dollars more a month because of the hurricane. Its not our fault we are all suffering from it too. If you want to be threatened and cussed out this is your place. If you want your stuff stolen this is your place. Our rv got stolen from here. DO NOT COME HERE ITS A MESS. GIVE YOUR MONEY TO PEOPLE THAT APPRECIATE YOU.

Boomtown has definitely set the bar high. Nothing bad to say. We stayed at the park, 5 months in a cabin and 3 months in a pull-thru site. Park Host Roger and all the residents are very friendly. Park is very dog friendly. Amenities are amazing. Currently adding a pool and hot tub! Owners have done a great job with the renovations and add-ons. Lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, boats, kayaks. Well miss everyone at the park but on to the next assignment we go. Much love!

This is a solid RV park to spend a night or two at. The sites were smaller, though many are directly on the lake. The facilities are what made this place such a great experience. They have new and spotless amenities, including a fitness center, laundry room, and nice single showers. There is also a boat launch and a community club house area. The staff were courteous, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service.The location is great for an overnight, as it is quite literally just off I-10. If traffic noise bothers you, this may not be your cup of tea. We ran our fans and slept like babies. The park seemed to be mostly contractors and long term residents, but we felt very safe and were welcomed as overnight campers. I wouldnt plan a vacation to this RV park, but I would gladly stay here again while passing through.

I stayed at Boomtown for months, its quiet, the people are awesome, and Roger the park manager is a wonderful addition to the whole experience!! I was sad to leave but I had to move for my job. I reccomend this park to everyone. Lots to do..fishing, bike riding, kayaking, swimming.

Very nice place,great fishing,swimming, kayaking, canoeing, absolutely beautiful sunrises and sunsets, just got a new paved Road in here, were getting a new laundromat, nice place peaceful and lots of fun!!! This RV Park had taken a tragedy from the hurricane, and now its getting back, good people out here, the park host is excellent and the owners are awesome!

I have made several deliveries at Boomtown but havent stayed there. Their outside public spaces could definitely be cleaner.

Nice and clean but my spot was too close to I 10 was only problem. Very nice lake with cypress trees in the background.

Lady is rude and they starter price gouging when the hurricane situation hit. Wont be supporting this business.

The road noise I can almost deal with. But the trains are incessant—all hours. And I asked at the reception desk about the trains at check in. Hannah said, you wont even hear them. I just moved from Gulf Coast because of the trains and the swampy narrow pads. I’m moving again. Such BS! The price is right for all inclusive as long as you’re tone deaf and/or drink yourself to sleep. Lake is nice. Laundry is good. Riffraff across the street.

Great camp!! The owners and staff were very helpful and always available. Very clean and well kept grounds. The lake by far was the best part. I stayed here for 4 months not a day went by where I didn’t think this is a awesome place to stay! Highly recommended especially with the new office and up grades!!

This is a good location for a quick stopover, although a bit pricey for that purpose. Easy access from I10, but at the cost of constant highway traffic noise. Another reviewer also mentioned the round the clock freight trains, absolutely correct! Bring earplugs.

Wow. Talk about a RV park. Dirtiest park I have seen In awhile. Management was rude as can be, personal items were stolen, & they raised the rent. Won’t be coming back

Place is right by the freeway so it is pretty noisy. Place is real muddy. Stray dogs running around. Mostly a bunch of full timers here that are down on their luck or working here locally. People are friendly and the lake is nice. They got hit hard by the hurricane and are rebuilding. It is sad that the some of the people here lost everything and are now starting over.

BEST EVER!! The owners are the greatest! The property is huge and its bigger & nicer every time we return! Vacation place! Lake is huge! Very well kept & has maintenance person on site. Beautiful!!

I am a monthly rental here, so I have a pretty good take on this park and how it is run. The owners are a class act and obviously have put a lot of thought, effort and labor into the renovations here after Hurricane Harvey a couple of years ago. Accolades to them for the outstanding, up-to-date and absolutely beautiful laundry facility, showers, fitness center, business center, tv-game room, office—All 5 Star! Did I mention the picturesque lake and sunsets? It’s very common to see someone fishing, kayaking, swimming, or cooking out and just simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly. Having a gated entrance shows the level of concern for the well-being and safety of the tenants and campers here. I have traveled all over the country working on different projects for the past 15 years, and this place is tops! Love it and recommend it!

The owners are great people. I appreciate all the effort put into this park. I think in the future the rating will go up. The laundry and shower facilities are fantastic! The grounds are relatively well maintained. I dont count the torn up roads because theyve been working on site improvements since weve been here. I wish the electrical was better maintained at the sites. Ours has been having issues. Im sure theyll fix it eventually, but even just a spot check once a month at the utility poles would prevent some of the hassle. Internet access is pretty awful. Putting in a couple of wifi extenders would go a long way. Most of the activities are restricted to 16 and older and sometimes over 18, so this is not a good vacation spot for people with kids. There are other RV parks that are better suited for vacationing families. Also, the office is closed on weekends which is a minor inconvenience when youre here long term, but might be a bigger deal if youre planning on being here for a week. Other than that, I think this place has excellent facilities. The lake is fantastic. The swimming beach is a lot of fun. The people are friendly. Security is improving, and over all, Id say this is a fine community.

Have stayed here for about a year because of work... Great place other than highway traffic and wifi sucks.. they are almost done black topping their driveway. Boomtown has a great park host couldnt have found anyone better to run the place

If you want easy on/easy off the highway, this place is perfect. They escort you to your site which is also very helpful. However, its moreso a permanent housing park and definitely not an RV Resort. The trailers are mostly old and unkempt. Dogs run loose and dog poop everywhere. We were very nervous about having our 44ft diesel pusher there as it just didnt feel all that safe. Plus we had to walk our dogs for potty breaks after dark. But if youre just looking for a place to spend the night and planning to stay in your RV overnight, its literally right off the highway. You can see and hear the highway as its so close.

Cheap, loved being by the lake! Friendly staff and they are quick to call you back. Be careful of bugs though. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Had a quiet relaxing weekend. Cabins were very nice and the staff was excellentl.

Roads are terrible and lots need worked on . A lot of residences living here which are spaced all over the park. The campers who staying for a day or two are mixed in, really wasnt happy with that. Camp host was nice and friendly. With a some improvements it would be a nice little camp ground.

Internet stinks, and were right beside the wifi pole. No cable, and Nolaundry facilities. Paid for a month but could only stay one week. However, park host was super nice guy. But owner wouldnt even return a small portion of money spent so we could leave.

Worst service ever... I stayed there 11 days . I pay $515.00 for 1 month and $100.00 depositI had to leave early, they said they don’t refund anything and they supposed to send me the deposit refund and they never did.. so I lost $615.00

Its a nice place. After they recover from the hurricane damage Im sure itd be very nice. Nice water, caught some nice catfish, a few bass, and something that looked like an alligator gar. Good kayaking spot, several beaches to board and exit the kayak.

Beautiful lake views. Damaged by Hurricane Harvey but they are rebuilding. Excellent price considering the view. Easy access off/on I-10. Highway noise may bother some people but cant beat the view or price with Passport America discount.

Friendly staff. quick to answer the phone if they do not answer they call you back promptly. My spot is right on the water beautiful showers cabins full hookup for RV and much more. If Im ever in the area again I will definitely stay here.

Great location, friendly staff, nice very clean restroom/bathhouse/laundry house.Yes the place is adjacent to I-10 and there is road noise. The lake is an old sand quarry used to build up the interstate. It is very deep and the lake water is constantly being pumped out to feed other nearby lakes, so the water circulates, never becoming stagnant. Boomtown lake is beautiful, the water is very clean.

Awesome place to stay live and have fun. Management is friendly and prompt. The grounds are consistently clean. And he view of the lake is awesome.

Would have 5 stars but they are still recovering so I have to go offsite for laundry but thats it. Love the country and laid back sweetness of the staff. Will be back with or without laundry on site.

Price is Right. The WiFi was ok but just because I have a booster. Not the cheap one either. The groundsman is very nice but dont expect much from the owner. I never even met the owner and they dont seem to want to be bothered. Even when I had an alligator swim very quickly towards me and I had to run out as fast as I could. I told them so they could warn others and got no response. There is no laundry mat! Also they have no office. Just the house out back where you can get your mail. They leave your mail outside and I had a package from Amazon that someone opened. It had replacement lights for my trailer and thank God they didnt want it!!!! I wouldnt recommend cause the lake has at least one gator.

Right off I-10, and close to everything! A few things are still being repaired from Hurricane, otherwise this place would have 5 stars!! Friendly staff, nice rv sites and the lake is awesome for swimming, fishing, etc.

This is a awesome Rv park they even have there own little lake that you can swim fish wake bording tubing etc they also have lake front cabins for rent its a great little place to bring the family for a weekend getaway or if youre from out of town and here for work its a great place for an extended stay

Love this place!! Quiet and friendly

Not impressed at all . Be prepared when you go to leave a check out after staying over year that youre going to be hit with a big electric bill also if you have any packages coming there and you specifically told them what was coming and they said it was going to be OK they will send them back . Also the road conditions there will beat the Front end out from underneath your vehicle. The water is not edible to drink there and sometimes in the late evening youll lose water for a couple hours . the sewer systems seem to back up an overflow .

I’ve been going here for years! Very friendly customer service and there are always good juice sales! Would recommend to anyone looking to get into vaping.

These people are on some other planet! They kick people out for gossip. They dont care if someone says something sbout you then youre gone even if untrue, never gets substantiated!

We have stayed here for 3 months now. We love it. Everyone is so friendly and it is beautiful. Right on the lake. You can fish, boating, all right here.

LOUDEST RV park I have ever been to. It is directly next to the highway, not only can you hear the highway, you can literally feel the ground shake. Plus the bonus of horns from trains all night. A lot of cars coming in and out all night (seemed really shady). I would recommend any rest area or truckstop over staying here.

This RV park did have FHU sites. So close to the freeway that you could read the license plates. Seriously, could not hardly have a conversation with my wife inside the RV.Anyway, we left after one night. We are full time, and this was the worst park that weve ever stayed in.

Very nice and clean park

Great little spot to hang out and catch some fish. Spend a little time there and you will forget your right on I-10. My kids and there Mom rented a cabin for about a month due to flooding. My son wished school was out so he could catch bass off the back porch over the water all day long.

Nice busy summer place. Road is very bumpy and dusty. Place is always busy. Using the water or fishing is an extra charge.

Right next to the interstate so it can be very noisy at times. Overall I love it. What really won me over was the bathhouse/laundry.INDIVIDUAL SHOWERS each in their own room. Thats hard to find in an Rv park. Stayed a week.Pros: friendly neighbors, clean bath house and laundry, of course the lake.Cons: price was a little steep for them not to have wifi. Its only at the office but they said its coming soon. The traffic with all the cars coming in and out and the location can be a deal breaker for some.

Great stopover for the night, I-10 is right there but not that bad.

Had a last minute need for the small room for daughters wedding. Marlene (hope thats right) was awesome!!! Place was very clean and comfortable. We had about 30 people and it fit everyone when we needed to clme off the pirch into the a/c. This is the second time we have used the same room. Price is very reasonable!!! We will definitely call Boomtown first if we ever need a venue again. Thanks Boomtown staff for being so friendly and wonderful!!

Right on highway...but it worked for a one night stay. Perfect place if youre deaf or enjoy sign language with your partner. They do allow late checkins though and this was important for us.

Well I have moved here, and after a couple months Ive been asked to leave!! I asked for the reason and was told it didnt matter. I said it matters to me, and was told i have a LOITERING PROBLEM!!! Mind you i stay inside all day most days and ride a bicycle at nights. On one ocasocca I over heard people accusing me of DEALING DOPE!!! Just GOSSIP as people here have nothing better to do than lie and gossip!!! I would not recommend this place at all ever! They said Im not the type theyre looking for! Yeah the type that pays rent early or on time and is quiet and sticks to themselves! ThatsT ok imI a disabled Veteran, illI find another easily.

Dont let the pictures fool you. Nice young girl at checkin. Decent TV service although we were told we wouldnt have service dont know if what we had, had anything to do with it. Sling TV. My advice is to check out the The place BEFORE YOU PAY! We are far from snobs but we didnt care for this place at all. And beware of add on pricing, ie: swimming.

Wifi sucks. One day it works, next day nothing. Ants are real bad here, and the driveway coming in is full of pot holes. But other then that the lake is beautiful & very friendly atmosphere

I live luving there wakung up looking out over the lake people were all friendly.

We have been here for 5 months and are returning here next year. Yeah it gets noisy from traffic but after you are here a few nights you dont even notice it so much. But as far as being here at Boomtown, I dont understand why people run it down. It has a beautiful lake and they mow whenever it needs it here. Real nice laundry facilities . All the help are very courteous and friendly. The owners are very nice people. We needed more foundation under our motorhome and owner himself came and put it down right away. We have enjoyed our visit here very much. And as far as stuff being stolen, we never had a problem. There is thief where ever you go so dont just blame it on Boomtown.We will see you next year too.The marshall patrols here regularly.
