So I went on a Saturday which was really cool unlimited skating from 730 to 11 with shoes is only 11.00. I had a great time the location is clean parking was great. All in all had a great timeUpdate: went for Mothers Day and me and my family had a great time if you are looking to get out on a Sunday with the family for the low this is the place between 1:30 to 5:30 its 10.50 with skates a hot dog and a drink. The only thing is I would suggest is a little upkeep.
It’s Ohk it’s just the music for me so I put my headphones in while I skate but other then that I’m down to go
Hosted my kids birthday party here and the kids had a great time. And the staff is very friendly and the prices and great
Good prices, nice workers and clean. Great place to have birthday parties for kids. They have special PVC walkers for kids who dont know how to skate, and are afraid to fall, it tells with them and gives them something to hold onto.
Havent been to this place in 20 years until today. Still the same place, nothing has really changed. We had a good time. No major issues. Probably has the original floors, duct tape holding the water fountain together, soap at the sink was falling apart. Honestly a good place for some family time, if you dont mind the old run down.......everything. Time for the owners to out some money in this place. Theyd make a killing and everyone in the desert would visit more if that was the case
My kids love coming here for some fun. I have a lot of childhood memories from here too...looks exactly the same as it did when I was a kid. My hubby refuses to go....says it looks icky. Which I can’t deny it’s a bit worn down and they should fix some of that.
August 2, 2019- If I could give zero stars I would. First of all, I had 5 teenagers ranging from 12 to 18 years old, all skating, and I still had to pay $11.50 each for me and my husband even though we werent going to skate. The decor is dismal at best, the skate rentals were disgusting, the snack bar had little in the way of edible snacks, and the rink itself should be condemned. The rink is uneven, full of gouges, hasnt been waxed since I skated here 25 years ago. All but 1 staff member was rude. Instead of keeping an eye on the skaters, the female ref was too busy practicing her own tricks. The lady at the pay window ignored us for nearly 5 minutes and we were the only people standing there! The lady at the snack bar was rude and microwaved the french fries my kids ordered. The music was just blah, basically the personal mix of whoever was in charge of music tonight. The walls were bare thread and in serious need of an upgrade. For $11.50 I expect a lot better then this. I used to come here as a kid and it was great, now its dilapidated. I understand that a business has to make money but this was ridiculous. We definitely wont be coming back here again.
I’ve shared soo many good times and memories here. Thou I don’t live around it anymore, I will visit it again & again. This is a great place.
I honestly wasnt expecting too much, but I didnt expect it to be as bad as it was. The place was like walking into an oven. So hot we were all sweating, had to use plates to fan ourselves the ENTIRE time, only stayed because we had to since we had a party booked so no choice in the matter. It was also filthy. There was food & God knows what else all over the walls. The wall covering is coming off, looks like the place is literally falling apart. If they could just put in minimal effort, it really would go a long way. Also, they seemed to be understaffed, or had really slow staff, it took a long time for food to be served, but the staff was at least friendly. It is in a ghetto area, so expect that kind of behaviour. When we parked, there was a guy getting high puffing away in front of all the families going & coming. They also had a child w/ them. I hope to never go back here again.
Its a really fun experiment great to bond with old friends great way to have fun for cheap
Ive been coming to Holiday since I was 9 (14 years ago) and I love it every time. I can cruise with the music or Speed Skate. I hope they never close.
Great place! The floor is wood, my personal favorite, and the music and lighting are great. Snack bar is a tad expensive, but they gotta stay open somehow.
My group of friends and I arrived willing to skate at this sketchy location. It looked really deserted but we came up to the door thinking it’ll be open. But no, Holiday Skating Center is closed. We came from a long ways and with disappointment on our faces. We called the phone number for questions but had to call the office. A lady picks up with a tone. We ask if they’re open. She immediately tells us “No.” Clearly not knowing customer service, we inform her that online says it’s open. Without hesitation says “No, it’s not open.” We say “Okay.” Then she says bye and clicks.
Broken skates with no offer to change or refund. Ripped walls, sticky tables, and very rude service from all workers. But floor is ok and I still had fun.
Amazing how they support the homeless living around the area. Allowing them to use the restroom charge phones even get free water or get out of the heat and cool off for a bit.
The place is ok for beginners. No fancy setting, but the place is big enough for everyone there.
Great place for family fun ...Had a great time..Friendly staff, good music and great atmosphere. The DJ played some really fun games as well. I Will definitely visit again.
Loved it super fun
The first time I went it was fun its was my birthday but they only played kids songs they need more adult time there
I took my grandchildren today and they had so much fun. The music was good and I liked the games they played. The crowed was just right. They offer classes to learn or refresh. Will take my grand kids again.
Nice atmosphere but changing up the music would be great
Its fun there you get to skate with family and friends and they have skates you can rent for any size and they have good music there
We went to the skating center today for a birthday party, (Saturday). The room wasnt available until 2:30, but we got to start skating at noon. That was a plus. My husband and I were adults with no children so we paid our own admission, $6.50, plus $3 skating rental to leave the paid skating to the kids in the party. That admission for a 4 1/2 hour skating session was very reasonable, we thought. The skates are OLD and are all mens sizes. I had worn thick socks and was glad to have done so. One other adult in the party said his new socks stunk pretty bad after taking his skates off. Mine did not. I witnessed an employee disinfect each skate as they were returned.Although the look of the rink took me back to the 80s, I thought it still looked pretty good. The carpet was maintained fairly well, considering the amount of kids spilling food and drink that must pass through there on a weekly basis. A great deal of it actually looked new albeit the pattern old. The rink looked rough in spots, but we had no issues while we were skating. The kids certainly took no notice and had a terrific time. The ladies restroom didnt have a cap on the sewer line and smelled pretty bad. However, it was quite usable. Sinks for washing hands are on the outside of the restroom. Handy for keeping an eye on kids when they just need wash up after eating. It was nearly 90 degrees outside and warm in the building. There were a few spots on the rink where you could really feel the air conditioner blowing. Ill dress cooler next time. There was no wall to skate along on one end because of several benches placed for skaters. (That would be a plus for beginners.) However, they do have a type of walker with wheels available for rental for $5. There were three heights that I noticed, although I wish they came a little taller for the adults that need them. It had been 16 years since I put on a pair of skates and wasnt that good back then, so I was grateful they had them and certainly had $5 worth of fun for the cost. They moved very well on the floor and gave me extra confidence. Several people in our party gladly rented them. The party rooms are not private, but areas divided by walls near the snack bar. They had two picnic tables, one set with plates, napkins, cups and place mats for our smaller party. There were also birthday balloons. We brought our own cake in. They provided soda and vanilla ice creamcups for the party goers. It was fine for our group. The staff was very courteous. Someone was always right there to help me up when I fell down! The music was great and not too loud.We cant wait to go back!
This place needs work. The skating floor was bowed in places, the wall carpeting had a big rip in it, and it just needs some general TLC. We arrived as they opened and within 30 minutes, it was clear that there was a distinct lack of management of the rink floor. There was a collection of about 20 cones on one end of the rink which created an obstacle to have to skate around. I counted 14 of those skate triangles on the rink at one time, along with two occupied strollers, which made it hard to skate in the first place, but they would go in both directions with noone stopping them. Add teens skating backwards and others looking down on their phones and it was like Mario Kart, Toads Turnpike on skates. The stroller kids would cry and the siblings would stop dead, creating another roadblock to dodge, while the parent cut a straight line to them, creating yet another hazard to avoid. After about 45 min, they noticed that one of the strollers had a drink on it and announced the rules: no drinks, skate in one direction, and no speed skating, which noone enforced. My daughter and I helped several kids back to their feet while the official flew right by. Within an hour of opening, I had to turn in my skates. It was that or mow over a child with a stroller going in the wrong direction or bowling thru a collection of skate triangles as they huddled together to share their last hilarious fall.
Good people, good music, but the joint could use an update.
We had a very good time. If your child is going to have a party this was a place where the parents and kids can gave a good time.
It was very hot inside and it was 104 degrees outside. They definitely need to remodel this joint. The staff was also rude. It was first and last time going there.
Saturday 15 December 3018Holiday Skating Ring is one of the last places to roller skate inside in the state of California. The staff is nice.I wish they played more songs from the 70s and disco and pop music any night of the week.
Fun environment willing to go back. Only down fall was, its kinda warm inside .
Had a great time with the family and friends. It needs to be updated and no more of their pizza, it doesnt look anything like the picture. I gave it 4 stars because the staff was awesome and we enjoyed ourselves.
We had a great time..They played great music, played fun games, and ate good food. Clean environment & great service..Great choice for family fun, birthday parties, & groups.
It is definitely Family Friendly ... sure things are a lil outdated, but sure does brings back great memories.. The staff is kind and the prices are affordable.. I appreciate the music .. it is kid friendly .. the whole family is able to enjoy it young and old ... I look forward in returning with my grandbabies....
Its a good place to skate but the price can be expensive. I like to skate here with my brother. They have a nice community of roller skaters.
Love taking my kids and my friends to the holiday skate such an awesome time to go and have fun and improve your skills and either rollerblading or skating
Its Always a good time. Kids love it and so do I! Reasonably priced.
Floors need leveling and waxing, other than that best and only skating around town.
My favorite place to skate, since I was a kid. Low prices for entry and skate rentals. Good music, family friendly enviroment. They have rollerskates, roller blades, and walkers. Even tiny tots can skate.
The floor was dirty. And the skates slid a bit. Otherwise great. Good service.
The facility itself was decent. The staff were very accommodating. The snack bar was not open. Bottled water is $2.75 in the machine and apparently you are not allowed to bring your own in with you. The floor is warped in one corner of the rink. The area had some homeless around it and it did not feel the safest.
They have updated since last year . its cleaner than before. Music is good. Went on a Friday morning had a blast gentleman doing skates and music was very polite. And young women at window was nice .We had a good time only 2hrs.but would definitely go back on Fridays.. Seemed cleaner on that day than the weekends . Smelled good..cheap too 5.00. For the 2hrs.
Regardless of the old look still had a good time with my family and the prices to get in and skate are reasonable...
It was awesome!!! Staff was friendly & very helpful
Arrived when they said they would be open, but no one was there. We and a several other groups showed up for the time that it said it was open to find that they weren’t. We called customer service and told them our problems but were told that we were wrong and were greeted with a large amount of attitude and the lady on the phone was very rude. We were planning this day for quite a while and were very disappointed.
Fun times. The music, staff and other guests were great. We had my granddaughters birthday party there. It was very successful! . The floors need work, but everyone had a good time.
The tablrs or naset
For being the first time I had a very good experience very nice families was their kids was out having a good time and also the adults will having a good time as well could use a better food Court but other than that it was great
First of all, lied on the website about being open on Mondays. I called and workers were extremely rude and unhelpful, very snotty to my group and I, as well to another group that showed up. Very unhappy with the costumer service last time I come here.
Pretty fun skating ring. Fun music and atmosphere but not very clean and on the pricier side for what you get out of it.
First time there went with family had a good time would love it if they had better food options
We love it here the atmosphere the jams the fun and laughs New years was so fun
Still just as fun as ever. Friendly staff. I had a great time. Just a little old and dirty.
The appreciated the free hot dog and small drink with entrance on Sunday, but the staff was super slow and unorganized. It took us 30 minutes to get hot dogs Tip: If youre advertising free hot dogs keep them stocked, dont wait until you only have 2 dogs on to put more on. Place needs updating. It was okay. Of course Ill be back and if I have a better experience Ill update this review.
Fun place to go hangout
Fun. Skates are a bit worn out. No insoles. Pretty active
Staff is friendly, they have a speed skating team, teach figure skating and have a team, and a roller derby team. I great place to go with friends and/or family! The dj is always playing good music. They play games during their skate sessions. I love this place! 10/10 would recommend!
Only skating place in Victorville in need of some TLC but the staff is great and helpful.
Very fun. They took music requests and it had a fun atmosphere. However, it was very hot due to broken a/c and parts of the rink were bumpy enough that you fall
My kids love this place. Guess we will have to do skate parties.
Daughter had day 4 years straight
Good prices and music, review hours online before going, dirty restrooms and building smelled of polymer, not well ventilated.
The place hasnt changed in years, always pull of people having a great time. In my opinion it needs a lot of remodeling and the food items are the same from 20 years ago!
Our grandson Settlement loves to skate and he loves the quarter machines
Fun, nice staff. DJs play fun games and good music. Great place to have a party. The owner needs to remodel very badly. Especially the bathroom. The handicap stall isnt accessible because the door is broken. The tp dispenser is taped together. Its really rundown and could potentially be far less ghetto if the owner fixed it up a bit. The skating floor is well maintained. We like going here.
The place is dirty in side the womens bathroom isnt the cleanest but my girls like to skate
Its a great place for family and friends.
Poor customer service, everyone was irritated already and had ZERO patience, only the skate rental had the best customer service which is why they only got one star, food was NOT fresh, churros were cold
Brings back the good days .Going out of town. hanging out with friends. It was they best days of me being a kid going to the skating ring even if we didnt stay at the skating ring that long i will always remember my friends ..A cold fun night at holiday skating ring ...
It was very fun and I had a blast with my family I dont know a better place to go to but this one. Loved it a lot!!
Fun fun fun. Enjoyed my daughters birthday we had a nice time. Staff was helpful n friendly interacted with the crowd
It could use a little renovating and better outward appearance, but the atmosphere is there and we had a lot of fun. Prices are also great!
Get your Tetanus shot before you enter! This place hasnt changed since the 70s. They will also nickel and dime you at every corner. This place could be good if someone puts the time and money into it and updated everything. Unfortunately it is in VV so I doubt that it will ever change.
It was to hot inside and the floor needs to be redone
The skating rink is big but doesnt have a barrier on one side, bad air conditioning, and only one girl working the food area which caused a huge line for food and drinks, they charge 50 cents for water like are you serious also the free water and the sink water is hot and not cold at all. The only good thing is the rink and staff.
It was very fun for everyone. I would go again.
Easily affordable rentals, reservations for your kids parties or catch events like kick butt roller derby matches! Its a unique spot that does more than what you see. Check it out and enjoy the fun you cant help but have.
Kids had a blast. Good customer service!
Great hang out, remind me of the ATL.
It was awsome and the food was cheap and the skating was awsome
The overall atmosphere is a little dingy because of the subpar construction of most of the location. But its a unique experience in the high desert and a potential date spot, or perhaps a location for a family day. The staff is helpful and considerate. They let my son rent skates for free :D
Both other patrons and employees were friendly. I went on a Sat evening 9 - 11 pm. The music seemed a bit slow for my taste, but a variety of 80s, 90s and beyond. The one guard on duty was either too distracted or stretched too thin to keep the kids in line, but overall I had fun
Poor dj works to hard, he is awesome. owners please take pride and update the rink make the necessary repairs to make customers want to spend money there.
It is what it is a skating ring...the music is good and the aur works...so we good
Fun but skates are old and smelly. All an all, still a fun place to be. They play good jams
Super nice people am going back also super clean
Great place to go any night of the week.
Been there since I was 3 I think and it is one of the best roller skating rinks in the High Desert. Yes, some times they do need to clean up and be nicer but other than that its a great place might be going there tonight
My great grand kids loved it.
Family fun great place for the kids
Food shouldve been fresh..but had a great time
I honestly love this skating rink Ive been going there since I was little I know a couple of the staff and they know my family. If your looking for a good place to skate here is the best place to do it they do fun games and birthday partys and its really cheap to
Good family place
Love this place. It has the feel of an 80s rink but w better music
Lots of fun for the family
