The place is super cute! But the coffee i had wasnt the best. I went in one morning also and the wait was extreme. They have two workers.. so i it would be slow.. but if your looking for a quick cup of coffee look elsewhere. Only go here if you have the time to wait. Which if you do thats great! I did not.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. The staff was very friendly. My breakfast burrito and tea tasted delicious! I spent less than $10. Its a really unique place to visit, that sells neat little gifts. Theres a small little gift shop inside of this coffee shop that is really nicely setup. I felt right at home during my visit, and I felt so comfortable that I was able to get a lot of reading done while eating my meal, despite the semi-loud conversation two men at the table next to me were having. Usually, I have to go to a library because I cant handle all of the noise/energy in a space - when Im trying to concentrate. This is a great place to study/collaborate with some people/to relax and hang out. It felt like a friendly small business. Ill definitely go back, sometime, and I highly recommend stopping at this place to grab a bite if you happen to be in the area.
Such friendly owners and employees. We loved the selection of coffees. My latte was good, and our sandwiches totally hit the spot! I think the big highlight was the beautiful front porch and hanging flowers. Inside there are lots of tables and chairs, great for working on a laptop or studying. There is also a child’s play nook and a gallery of fair trade items for sale, in case you forgot someone’s birthday I guess...
I typically enjoy stopping in a getting a coffee and burrito. However, when I stopped in today, after my run (as is typical when Im in the area) I headed to the restroom before seeking to place my order. I was immediately told, by an employee, that the bathroom was not for public use and if I needed a bathroom I could go nextdoor, to Millers. I understand that I looked pretty disheveled from my run out in the rain, but I had full intentions to order my typical.... And I still did... But after this experience, Ill be going elsewhere.
Everyone was very friendly, very welcoming and calm atmosphere. The food was fantastic and their teas and coffees are amazing!!! 100% would highly recommend
This is a very nice low key coffee destination tucked away in downtown Verona with a cozy feel and broad selection of vegan baked goods. Unlike similar looking places in Madison, this is less student and work centric. It definitely feels more like a place a few friends could me up for a cup than a place to plop down with your laptop and earbuds. Easy recommendation .
Good espresso, cookies. Indoors, everyone wore masks. Outdoors physical distancing seemed safe.
Ive always wanted to go there and I finally did. I work at VAHS and I was doing summer school or ESY. My homegirl Lori gave my a ride to work and she loves this place. She drinks straight black . I prefer a little something with some shine to it. Shes a white lady whom drinks black coffee. Im a black man whom enjoys lattes and frappés. I think I had the caramel frappe with a triple shot of espresso. Yes I say Xpresso sometimes and I dont care what you haters say. The coffee is lit and service is the . The desserts and breakky are dope too. They have changed the inside to keep everyone safe. Youre supposed to enter one door and exit the other. However people are either too still or not paying attention. The service is fast, the black stuff is strong, and the baristas are lovely. Come get yourself some Tuvalu. You wont regret it.
Cute shop. Not a fan of their spendy chai teas. Maybe need to try something else.
Lovely place with great drink options: kombucha, smoothies, frappes, etc. Adorable collection of jewelry from local artists, Ive bought two pairs of earrings from there!
What a little slice of heaven! Definitely ask about the story behind the name--quite ironic. Great prices on jewelry and lots of other stuff. Superb service. Great espresso drinks. Plenty of parking and seating. Highly recommended.
A warm friendly place to stop for an espresso while biking.
Used to go here all the time. Then Covid hit. At first staff and owners were taking appropriate precautions but then totally stopped. Didn’t provide conditions to socially distance and stopped wearing gloves and masks. THEY PREPARE FOOD!!I kindly and quietly suggested that they should do these things and was immediately confronted with a very defensive and hostile attitude.Researching further into the owners, I found that I shouldn’t be surprised. The owner often treats employees with similar disrespect.Needless to say, my business goes elsewhere now.
I was missing an item from my delivery order. I called and spoke with the owner who was extremly rude and would not help me. She said “I’ve done $3,000 worth of business this morning. How am I supposed to know if an item was missed?!” My first and last experience here.
Good coffee ...Good food.
Wonderful, happy, and comfy place. Great for work or study or taking a mid-ride coffee break.
Delicious everything! I ordered quiche Lorraine, a raspberry jam bar, and (regular drip) coffee. The quiche crust had a flaky, croissant-like quality. The egg was a great consistency: not too fluffy, not too custardy and had a nice flavor. The accompanying greens with salad vinaigrette dressing was lackluster, but fresh. The jam bar was jam-y. There were 3 coffee selections. I chose the darkest one and it was rich and not too bitter. The staff were friendly and provided prompt service. There are lots of little seating alcoves inside with a treasure trove of locally made goods for sale. I opted to sit outside on the front porch and people watch. I noticed a dog bowl of water and was assume that the porch is dog friendly! :-) The coffee house is conveniently located next to the bike trail.
Clean. Only had tea. Id like to go back for a meal. There were many take outs while I was there around lunch time. I see that as a good sign.
Open to carry out only. They do have s few tables outside. Friendly masked staff
First time here and really enjoyed it. Laid back and fun place to enjoy a coffee while visiting with friends!
Fantastic food and drink. A great place for breakfast or lunch. Cute gift shop and excellent service.
The coffee and bakery items were okay. I did enjoy the different rooms and seating options.
Coffee house and art gallery just off of Military Ridge State Trail so walking, riding or driving it is easily accessible. Wide range of drink options, not too pricey. Food options are eclectic but delicious. I tried a spinach and feta croissant, flaky and filling.
Wonderful service and wonderful coffee!
Great service and very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere for meeting friends.
Nice little cafe... Must serve lunch too as I saw local brew available. Mocha was very good.
This is a wonderful coffee house. The coffee is great and food is yummy. The staff are always friendly and helpful and willing to make your special requests. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable with lots of seating options. Truly a terrific place to visit or study with friends or sit and read or study or relax on your own.
Overall a frustrating experience due to the internet constantly cutting out. I came here to work remotely and had to leave. The atmosphere is decent, coffee pretty good and good service.
Wonderful atmosphere!
Good food and drinks. Healthy. Laid back atmosphere.
A local coffee shop you can make your go-to. Very cool decor and many healthy/vegetarian options. The black bean burrito was delicious! Would highly recommend this place.
My wife and I love to come here - its a quiet little coffee shop, have some healthy snacks, and bottomless coffee/decaf.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee shop! Its so quaint & the service is great! Coffee & Tea are PHENOMENAL here! The baked goods are like being on cloud 9 theyre so amazing! Great date spot too! ️
Good local (downtown Verona) coffee shop. Good bakery, breakfast & sandwiches.
Great coffee place. Has wonderful pastries and quiche. Like to sit on porch. So comfortable.
Took the entire family here (parents, aunt, grandparents, and kids) for a group coffee date and you wouldn’t think it would work, but it did! Large tables, comfortable chairs, and plenty of delicious options for coffee drinkers and non drinkers alike. Parking options can be tricky, but overall well worth it!
It’s a really cool place, it has several spaces with very different vibes, from a semi-private room for meeting or group studying to more open areas where you can have good conversations over great coffee. Their selection drinks and food is pretty strong, good flavors and reasonable prices. The staff is pretty chilled too. Over all a nice place to hang out.
Nice coffee house/gift shop we just happened to run across on our way to Madison. Good coffee and good service. Highly recommended.
Great coffee and great staff!
The local coffee shop, sells awesome local arts and crafts. Love the key lime pie and breakfast burritos!
Quaint, quirky and fabulous. Stop in, order your coffee, sit and enjoy YOUR time - without thought of what lay outside the doors of your fine personal sanctuary. Sip or slurp - you wont be judged...
Love being able to enjoy my coffee and some Clasens filled croissants while my kiddo plays with toys!
Great place to walk, nice trail to walk and fantastic views.
Vegan and gluten free friendly. Relaxing atmosphere with wonderful food and drink.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is good and the coffee is yummy!
Great food, great atmosphere
Fantastic coffee spot in Verona. Excellent service and kind staff. Very quaint and warm atmosphere, popular among locals
Nice little coffee shop with good food, occasional live music, and a very pleasant art section
I really like the gift shop. The ladies who worked there are super nice. Loved the chicken salad. The latte not so much.
Such a cute coffee shop! Service is wonderful. Coffee is delicious.
Nice local coffee shop. They serve Just Coffee brand coffees, good selection of food, and local artist wares for sale. There is a good amount of seating and is a popular place for people to meet up. Kid friendly with a toy area as well.
My favorite coffee shop! Environment is awesome, artwork beautiful, the workers r so friendly and delightful to talk to, they serve you so well when you come in, and have top notch stuff to buy ranging from drinks to eats to much more.
My wife and I love to walk to Tuvalu on weekend mornings. The staff is always friendly and attentive in the cute little half coffeehouse half art gallery. The coffee menu is fairly standard espresso drinks. Food options range from fresh coffee cake (YUM) to breakfast burritos (also yum). Lots of seating both indoor and out and a fun little kids corner with toys for the little ones.
Nice shop easily accessible from the highway. Great coffee(americano and one super charged coffee with extra shots). Nice variety of local pottery, crafts, etc, clean restrooms.
I love this place. Great coffee, great atmosphere and the key lime pie is to die for! My 10 year old always asks when we are going back again! She loves to look at the crafts, jewelry and art.
Cute coffee shop and boutique; friendly and quick service; locally owned; vegan options.
Honestly best cup of cappuccino Ive ever had
Love it. I have been coming here since before it was Tuvalu. I enjoy the musical guests they have, and the coffee and food is always high quality. I also love the items they sell, and appreciate thats its fair trade or local artists! My only advice is please incorporate more gluten free and vegan options on the menu. I just wish I could eat something fresh here. Because it all looks so good. And my friends say its amazing.
Nice place, had an area for kids to play. Maybe a bit spendy but no more than Starbucks.
Great coffee drinks and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful place to meet with friends!
Great local coffee shop! Friendly staff great assortments of baked goods and tasty drinks. Cute jewlery and hand made items to purchase too! Plus the little kids area is great - my boys love playing with the train table and blocks. Very family friendly but also if you need a quiet place to work or read you can do that too!
I love this coffee shop. So friendly, GREAT atmosphere, lots of jewelry and art by local artists! This place is a jem!
Great service, friendly staff simple and clean menu.
Fun area in which small children can play.
The good thing about this place was the service; nice, friendly and helpful. The coffee was good. The atmosphere was cozy and home-y. A good place to sit down and read a book or study. Unfortunately the food selection is limited, especially for breakfast, and it was just OK. Also, the tables were not clean, as in they were crumby, sticky and dirty. Which, in a food establishment, is the easiest thing to fix.
OK, so I love this place. Good coffee, tasty food selection and a great little craft store with cups, jewelry and gifts. It is pretty large with cozy seating among the tables inside and a large porch outside. Visit this gem in Verona.
Absolutely love the Quiche Loraine. Its my favorite. Im also a big fan of the cute local crafts and Jewelry they sell.
Great coffee a little pricey.
Very good coffee, bakery, and small plates. Very nice staff too. Can be slow because its a small shop. When someone asks for a coffee with a half shot, on a full moon while doing the splits, the rest of us wait.
Very chill, great pours and wine selection!
Great coffee, cute gifts, kid-friendly setup, and friendly staff. Classic hometown coffee shop.
I was in the shop today to put up some business cards and noticed on their board basal lemonade. I was intrigued so I bought a glass and learned the basal was fresh from their garden! A tasty afternoon treat for a summer day.
Fun coffee shop. Very colorful and bright and joyful. Like being in a lounge decorated by happy elementary school students but in a good way.
Friendly service, pleasant open environment, good food.
Amazing.. people, food and environment!
I loved Tuvalu Because it was a really cozy place. There was variety of things to choose from when I got hungry/thirsty. All of the staff were really nice to my friends and me. There was a wheelchair accessible door and entrance. There was also some objects that you could buy if you wanted to. There was also a corner full of activities for small children to do.
Went on a Saturday night to hear a local musical group perform. I thoroughly enjoyed their music, my coffee, and the atmosphere of the shop as a whole. The walls were lined with local art for sale, a good portion of which seemed reasonably priced. The woman working at the time was very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Laid back atmosphere and wonderful coffee selection.
Tuvalu is a cozy and welcoming local cofee shop. It is a great place to get a cup of coffee and a scone and sit for an hour and read or chat.
This was my go to place for good coffee, and lite bites. Its a large and cozy space as well, with a little kids corner for a more family friendly set up. The 2 stars are attributed to my customer experience, and disappointingly my worst experiences have been when the proprietor is present. The staff seems a little uneasy in addition I had a few experiences where I witnessed rude interactions with customers using the vacant meeting room and once myself where I was scolded for being in the room unless I spent a minimum of $40. There are more positive and customer friendly ways to draw these lines.
Enjoyed a delicious spinach salad and cheese scone recently.
Great breakfast items, good quality
I love this place!! I have been going there for almost 6 years and they have great food and my favorite place to get a Frappe Mocha!!!!the staff is super nice and always smiling! Great place to sit with friends or alone.
This place is so cozy and they sell the coolest stuff! From artwork to jewelery to purses. The coffee is fantastic and Ive never had any problems with anything Ive ordered. The employees are incredibly kind, and seem to enjoy working here. Anytime Im near this area I stop in.
Quaint but not too small. Very friendly service. Great black and tan coffee!
Wonderful coffee and coffee cake. Quiche was tasty, but crust a little soggy due to microwaving. Would go back.
Great place to meet, Converse and relax!
Good coffee, good food, good service. Comfortable, homey type of environment.
Very friendly workers that provide excellent quality items. The atmosphere is very wonderful and provides a welcoming area to study or converse with friends that is not too loud.
Great coffee shop. Nice place to chill for a bit or meet a friend or make a stop on the bike path. Pastries are typically dry and somewhat uninteresting. Quiches are great.
Friendly people, awesome food and drinks!
