Im an lover of Vernon-Rockville places very much because of my beloved hometown right here. Its an awesome spot for checking out great fireworks at night every July year which is known as July in the Sky, an really famous local landmark is Fox Hill Tower, Horowitz Pool and other really awesome things at Vernon Parks and Recreation. Perfect idea with Warm Days for Residents and Visitors alike.

Its a beautiful family-friendly park, never too crowded, the atmosphere is great!The only issue is they took the park grills out this year 2019, you can still get a permit to hold a table, but its best if you ask Vernon Parks and Recreations what kind of foods are permitted in the park, I guess people were not cleaning up after themselves, its always a handful of people that ruined everything for the rest..

A nice place to go with the kids. There is a pool, playground with a sprinkler, basketball and tennis courts. Good for walking alone with someone or your dog. Also lots of baseball fields to practice or in the summer you could find a good baseball game going just about any day. So come with friends and family and enjoy your day...also lots of picnic tables and grills. All day fun.

Fire works, family and fun

Nice and clean place for outdoors activity such as basketball, valley ball, softball, tennis. There are picnic places with build in grills. Playground for kids and seasonal swimming pool. During a winter time you can slide down the hill on a big open space. On the top of the hill is the Veterans Tower which is sometimes open to public. From the tower area you have a great view on sunset and town of Rockville.

Great scenery and Good park with play ground that surprisingly not to busy well at least not till and after summer camp its gets unbelievably packed. Top of the hill is great for flying Kites with your kids.

My husband and I watched the Independence Day Fireworks here and had an amazing time. There were live bands, food, games for the children to play and a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.The entrance fee was $1 per person and I belivee $5 per car for the fireworks - obviously it is free to visit when there are no events being held as we have done that in the past.

Today at 1 p.m. Saturday August 17th the temperature is 80 degrees and the humidity is 75%. And for some unknown reason the poolis closed. Theres no sign as to why its closed. Nor as to when it will open again. Very disappointed. tried calling customer service dial nine in the phone unlock morethanonce.

Not special need friendly; my son don’t understand that he need it a swimming pants and he had on basketball pants; so they didn’t allow him they also were looking at him like if was from another world so sad!!

Love Henry park. Lots of fields and open spaces to let the kids and dogs run.

This doesnt just pertain to the park but the town of rockville... Empty liquor nips and Dutch rappers all over the place and despite all the garbage barrels and recycling there is people still just use it as a dumping ground... I walk all over rockville with my dog and its totally disgusting all the garbage and people dumping furniture and garbage in spots that could be quite pretty.... Clean up your act rockville!

Great for little get togethers.. the grove is is big enough for more than 1 group of 15-20 people and when the bathrooms are open they are usually clean.
