Interesting atmosphere. Part brewery, part restaurant, part karaoke bar. We got there about 30 minutes before the kitchen closed on a Thursday night. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Best burgers weve had in a long time. Only got to try one of their own beers, but it was good enough to make me want to stop by next time Im in town.

Adding thos to my list of must try places in Venice. We lived in Oregon, so a microbrew pub was a great fit for us. Nothing like fresh beer made on site! We had the fish and chips with the Gatekeeper brisket grilled cheese. Well done and these might be our new favorite onion rings. Prove me wrong. We might have our new favorite eating place.

Great food and service. Very friendly staff. I read some reviews say I g that the bartender was rude This has never been our experience. If youre looking for great live entertainment this is your place.. Right now I cannot find the schedule for the bands. But I have seen a few live bands there and they were phenomenal. We usually order and share apps which are always Fab but after reading the reviews and website I will definitely try their burgers. Dont worry if youre not a beer drinker because their mixed drinks are great also. I highly recommend this pub for a fun night out.

Great burgers, all custom. Wide beer selection, hefeweizen is my personal fav - that banana note is incredible and makes it feel super light!

We have passed this place several times while visiting Venice. Im so glad we decided to stop this time. We shared the coconut curry mussels and the Nashville hot chicken bowl. The mussels were cooked to perfection and the broth was delicious. The Nashville hot chicken had the perfect spice to it and was so tender. My husband had a few of the IPAs and thoughly enjoyed them. I loved my margarita. The live music was a good mix of newer and older songs. The bartender was a very nice guy and super knowledgeable. All in all, a huge win. We loved it here and it will become a regular place for us to visit.

Great selection of brews. Food was tasty and fresh. Servers were super nice and attentive.One suggestion to keep in mind- This is a BREWERY with craft beers... if you are wanting something that tastes like bud light, might i suggest a national chain or bowling alley? For the rest of us that love beer, this place is worth the stop.

Stopped in for a quick Ding-a- ling Amber lager. It’s a delicious brew. You’re gonna love it! Very relaxing atmosphere. Dawn and Victoria were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Put this place on your tour list when you’re in Venice Florida you won’t be disappointed!!

Great food! We had a hamburger and the Red Snapper special. Both very well done. The beer was fantastic, as well. Our server was very nice and very helpful. We will definitely be eating here again. The only reason for only four stars was the temperature (cold) and the fact that the inside is dark, but the front windows are very bright when the sun is up. Its hard to see the person across the table from you.

Consistently the best food we’ve eaten in this area. Service is great, great choice of beers too. Live music sometimes.You have to order the Gatekeeper Brisket Grilled cheese, it’s Incredible !!

Great place to gather with friends for food, a drink and some fun. This is also the home of 3 Bridges Brewing- a micro brewery with a wide range of flavorful brews - light to double dark - I had the Jetty Rat which was an awesome full flavored beer and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were super. They also offer wine and mixed drinks. The menu offers appetizers, salads a spread of American fare and daily blackboard specials. Many events offered here: December includes live music, free pool (multiple tables) on Sunday, and a kids eat free day. A great micro brewery stop if you are looking for sports programming also.

We went and Service was great and the kids built their ownburger and loved them. My Pastrami was excellent. With the dining restrictions happening due to covid you never know what your gonna get at most places. We really enjoyed it. The only complaint was the onion rings were had really thick onions in them that were still kinda raw.

Weve visited several times in the last few months, the food has been delicious every time. One of my top favorite places to eat in the Venice area. Great craft beer selections, and you can play some pool while youre there too. I havent been there in the evenings for the entertainment yet but have heard its great.

Amazing!! Had the burger with house bbq sauce and house chips, both were great!! Had the Gate Keeper and it was awesome!! Atmosphere is great for watching a game, hanging with friends or playing pool. Definitely a place to be for any occasion.

Clean and sanitary. We brought our dogs and they were so nice to all of us. The food is incredible. Not like a chain. The chef...thats the guy.

Made a mistake and gave this place a good rating after a few visits. Had to change it due to the rude attitude of the manager. If you make a reservation, DO NOT expect them to honor it. There are too many good restaurants around where they appreciate their customers. I suggest you go to one of those. The wheels have come off the wagon and they will not get another dime from me! I cannot respond directly to the managers response and can only update my review. So the following is in response to the managers response. Sir, your response is a total fabrication! My reservation was for a specific table and you DID NOT honor my reservation. You tried to move me to a different location, even though the table I reserved was still available. The reason you did not honor my reservation was because you could seat a couple more people at that table if you moved me. Your pursuit of a few more dollars is why I left and then gave you negative reviews. The threat was a statement that I had left positive reviews for you in the past and would leave negative reviews now. If that is a threat to you, you are as pathetic a manager as I thought you were! Lastly, to try and masquerade your actions as having anything to do with Covid is disgusting and an insult to anyone who has actually had to deal with the horrors of being sick from Covid or lost a loved one to this horrible virus!

Would be fine but guess but literally every. Single. Time. I come here I am ignored. As are the people Im with, and other people I dont know that are in the bar. Blatantly serving people as they walk up after me and filter through new ones that come up and wont even acknowledge my existence. And its every time Ive ever been here and its not just me.Their home brewed beer is good though (but as is expected it is NOT cheap and they dont offer any domestics).

The best French fries I’ve ever had in my life... love their poke’ always fresh. I’ve yet to have a bad meal there yet. As far as he bar, the bartenders are all very friendly. I might have to wait a few minutes for my drink but that’s not a problem as I totally understand how they get busy... Highly recommended...

The few beers I tried were tasty...thats all you need....BUT...The food was also very tasty...the wings are bomb and both sauces matched... The bacon burger I had was one of the best.. My son had the Ramen and he almost ate the bowl it was so good...

Went 12/23/2019. We were a group of 12. Service best ever, waiter was a young slender male, efficient, fast, no missteps. Food hot, good portions, wine nice and cold.

Went here for dinner for the first time with some family and friends, everything everyone says positive about it is true. I got some of their beer which was fantastic along with a burger that was amazing. My wife and I split preztel stick app which was some of the best pretzels weve had since moving here years ago. Highly recommend.

I live in Florida however I have made frequent visits to New York over my lifetime. Years and years ago, when I would visit various friends who lived in the area, would take me to a fun bar located in Greenwich Village. It was one of my favorite places to visit, as the prices were great, the atmosphere was full of life, and the service was outstanding! Because friends who lived locally always escorted me there, I never paid much attention to the name of the establishment. During my most recent visit, my husband and I somehow stumbled into this restaurant while walking around the Village. We were greeted by an amazing bartender by the name of Ryan who made our visit exceptional! Thanks, Ryan for making us feel so welcomed and taking the time to chat with us even though you had a busy bar to tend to. We will definitely be back. This time I was sure to save the restaurant to my Favorite Places on Google Maps.

Food decent, way overpriced for what it is. Menu has lots to offer. Multiple trips has made me notice that the wait staff is not super attentive and lacks request follow through.Would reccomend to out of towners, or visits every once in a while if your a local.

Me and my friends stopped in here to grab a few drinks on Saturday night. The vibes were “okay”, they had a DJ that made the place more enjoyable. However, the bartenders were not attentive to our needs. Gave them $1 for tip, they will skip right over you when they see you waiting over 15 minutes for a drink.

Took the gang (7 adults & 2 young kids) to Off the Wagon for a small celebration get together. I heard the food was real good and I was in the mood for a REAL burger. Boy! Did Off the Wagon hit the mark! Not exaggerating... THE BEST BURGER I EVER HAD! Thick, juicy, perfectly cooked (medium) on a pretzel bun! It had a rich beefy taste with a charcoal smokiness. Just what I was looking for. My guests had the same sentiments. The staff was very friendly to my kids and we all had a great time. Chef Mike even came out to the table to see how everything was going. A real class act. By far the best bar and grill Ive found and Ive lived here 40 years.

This was my first visit to Off The Wagon. I loved the food, lots of variety. The staff was extremely friendly and very accomodating. This was my first time in this kind of establishment in over 35 years plus. Wow!!!. Cheers has nothing over Off The Wagon. Will definitely go again. Ask for Dawn the bartender for alcohol or food. She is the best.

This place has come such a long way from a bar to a brewery and now a fabulous place to eat. They have been serving food for a while now but it is worth mentioning that every time we go there for a meal I get something different to try all the awesome options on their menu. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered to eat! That atmosphere is very nice with how the place is set up. My husband enjoys the brewery to get different kinds of beer when we go. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to go to have a drink and listen to a band or just go have a very tasty meal!

Good food and atmosphere!

We went this past Friday and were looking forward to a decent meal and a good evening. We won’t be returning to eat, that’s for sure.When ordering we played it safe. Bar food is pretty hard to mess up so we went with a Cuban and an order of chicken fingers.First, it took forever to get the food, but we arrived around 7 when the band was starting so no big problem there. The kitchen was backed up. Stuff happens.Unfortunately when the food arrived it was a cold cuban and fries and ridiculously over cooked chicken. The chicken was such low quality it was inedible. It was as if they found a bag with freezer burn and the dregs of chicken cast offs and decided “what the heck”. The fries weren’t much better.What was interesting is that before and during the meal the staff kept walking up to us with trays of food asking “did you order the ....?” And we’d reply “Sorry, must be someone else .” Like no one was writing down who ordered what and the staff had to wander aimlessly until they stumbled upon the correct table for the order.We may return for the music and a drink but no food. No way.

We used to go a lot more before the one time we went on a Saturday evening, in season, it was before the band started, so like 6:30, when I went to order a second beer after a really long time the waitress (yes I know it is hard to find good help in SW Florida) informed me they were out of that beer, an IPA, and after a few trips she informed me they were sold out of all 4 of their IPAs. So we left. Food is very good, beer is fine, the acoustics suck and the whole strip mall brewery Florida thing is still so weird. All of them are, its weird.

Very clean and nice place, the staff is extremely friendly and always very helpful. Always fun events going on every night and there are a lot of good variable choices for the food. All in all a great experience!

Its super busy so expect a little bit of wait to get your order. The servers and bartenders are some of the nicest people. Theres live music, pool, and sports playing on the many television sets. Overall, great atmosphere. Parking can be a hassle during busy nights though.

Probably the best food and beer in Venice!

Went for happy hour and early dinner last night. Craft beer lovers dream. 26 taps with a choice for everyone. Wings and sandwiches were prepared with care. Servers were all polite and cheerful. Owner Tommy was greeting patrons and making sure everybodys experience was good.

Fabulous selection of draft beers!! Many are crafted onsite. Lots of entertainment from trivia contests on Monday nights to live music on the weekend. Right next door to the movie theater. Smoking area outside but NOT at the pass thru window which gives access to the bar.

My son celebrated his 16th birthday today. He chose Off The Wagon. He loves the burgers. Brian was our server. He waited on us once before. Brian is very attentive and personable. He remembered our drinks and made sure Cayden had a good birthday. The food is constantly good. I usually have one of the many daily specials. I chose a menu item tonight, the rockfish sandwich. It was good and well seasoned. My vegan boyfriend had the falafel pita special. He was very pleased. 5 star experience.

I ordered chicken wings last week and very good and now came back tonight and got a cheese burger. This burger was very thick, soft bun, and great options for additional build your burger options. It was cook to order and by far best bar food I have had in Venice, Englewood,North Port area. I also heard they are going to be opening a brewery. I cant wait to come back then. Anyone that wants some good food and atmosphere in Venice I recommend.

Always a great time, the staff is awesome and the food is a bit pricey but great quality. A wide array of in house beers. The only thing I wish they did have was some draft domestic options like miller/bud light they do offer them in bottles but if the owner reads this it would be nice to see in draft options. Great place to watch football on a Sunday or live music on a Friday/Saturday night!

All of the food is made fresh to order, build your own burger is awesome you can customize it down to the bun with tons of toppings not to mention the meat is super tender and juicy. Pretzel sticks and fried mozzarella are 2 of my favorite apps. Chef Mike is awesome so anything your order is sure to impress.

Beers and Burgers are phenomenal!

Food and drinks were great. Service, not that great. Wrong food came to our table. After we touched it, it got immediately delivered to another table and then our order took 15-20 more minutes. We asked for ketchup and by the time we got it the fries were cold. Waited too long for a beer. 4 stars is for the good and good atmosphere. Well be back, but will make sure we have a different server.

I cant say enough about the delicious food, friendly staff, creative and scrumptious beer selection, and warm environment. Obviously the owner, chef, and managers care deeply about the restaurant, quality of food, and being impactful in the community. Who else would open their doors the day after a major hurricane because they KNEW people would need a hot meal, cold A/C, and a sense of normalcy. Kudos OTW/3 Bridges! Yall are exemplary people within this community.

We had a great time visiting this place. the menu mostly consisted of Bar food and doesnt disappoint. We ordered the chicken strips appitizer with the spicy Thai sauce (pretty good), Hot wings needed more sauce but were cooked well (asked for more and they were very good) the nachos needed some flavor (even ordered the extra heat) Maybe some more cheese or jalapenos. The crown jewel and probably the one thing you should get from the beginning is the Burger (Hands down). you can order it however you like (lots of options). Our waitress was flat out awesome. She was engaging and was full of recommendations.
