Helke Park

Played at playground behind school until it was too hot from the sun, as there was no surrounding trees or shade. We couldnt swing because the swings were already too hot. This was 11:30 a.m. early August. The kids loved the paths in the woods most. One took us back to where tern boys were playing Frisbee golf(?)

Nice park, great place for our kids to play, and enjoy a picnic.

This is just a really well-kept park with so many amenities. Softball fields, tennis courts, 2 playgrounds for the kids, a clean restroom facility square in the middle of the park. A great park that is well worth the visit.

Tennis, playground and has a decent frisbee golf course through a small patch of woods.

Nice enough park in Vandalia offers lots of space to run around, a walking trail, ball fields, and a pretty nice playground next to the school, assuming its ok for kids to play on it after school hours or in the summer.

There are plenty of benchs to sit at. The places seems well kempt and clean. The swings are God tier.

Helke is good park to go to.

Helke Park was ok, I guess, but nothing special, in any way. Too close to houses and apartments; and everything else in Vandalia Ohio.

Wide open grass fields and nice tennis courts. The property is easily accessible. Its a very well kept park.

Amazing park! 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer areas, and even a disc golf area in a small forest! Its all you could ever need in a park!

Have always loved Helke park! Many memories with my Mom & family. Family reunions, picnics, parties & games. So much fun!!!

Great tennis courts. Lights for night play are decent. Shelters and restrooms available. Parking is poorly striped with relatively small spots for modern sized vehicles.

Great park area for kids. Good choices of things to do. Bathroom could use a little housekeeping.

It gives people opportunity to have parties and enjoy the outdoors with a playground, softball fields, soccer and backyard football

Courts recently resurfaced, but terrible job. Lighting is worst Ive ever encountered. Fixtures in ends of court, pointed directly in your eyes.

Not much to do for the kids but it’s next to a school which also has a playground and it was very open for the kids to run around and get their energy out.

Super great for disc gold. Very fun and challenging course with lots of trees and hills to climb. Think of hiking and disc golf all in one! Highly recommend.

Outdated and a little broken down equipment, but it is fun and entertaining for kids.

Nice large park with tennis courts, soccer fields, softball & little league ball fields, horse shoe pits, & 1 covered shelter. A nice place for a family gathering or if you just want a quiet place to have lunch...plus I grew up 1 block away =)

Very disappointing, trees not trimmed bck, very very limited viewing spots. What ashamed it was to barely see the fireworks!!!! Band was GRT, no beer truck!!!

Play adult softball here. Dont slide u less youre wearing pants. Not recommended in shorts.

Nice park. Families were picnicking. The bad side a creepy, guy was hanging around my grandsons asking bad questions and then talked to my daughter. We were there at 5pm and left at 7 when the guy started being weird. Too bad its a nice park and too bad I had to try to explain to the boys that there are bad people out there. 2 men with families saw what was going on and looked like they were ready to come help. We left.

Its a great place to take your kids. Plus to see the kids with their sporting events. Its a nice family Outdoors kind of place

Great place....as are all of the parks here in town..Vandalia Parks and Rec does an outstanding job maintaining our parks for all to enjoy......out of towners are amazed at our facilities.

Great little park in the middle of Vandalia/Butler Township. Offers tennis, soccer fields, shelters for grilling, shuffleboard, baseball/softball fields, and a couple of playgrounds. Love this place!

Nice clean park

Lots of open space, well-maintained playground equipment. Bathrooms in a central location. Basketball hoops in the parking lot. Chopped up tire rubber instead of mulch under the swings, so no splinters in little feet.

My daughter plays received softball there they have great fields and an awesome park all around great park for kids and adults

Newest addition to the Frisbee Golf community and this is a very challenging 9 hole course. You can tell the passion and time the vandalia park team has put into this course. Starts out in the open area and then runs you through the woods and back out. A must play for Frisbee fans

I love parks and this one was very decent.. large areas to play soccer or run your dog on their leash.

The tennis courts are uneven and caused hip problems to my playing partner and me

I live up the road from this park. Its a great place to hold a day reunion or just take the kids for a couple of hours. There are tennis courts, racketball court, horseshoes, baseball fields, soccer fields, picnic shelters, and a jungle Jim. A little bit of everything, including a small frisbee golf course!

Fourth of July fireworks were very good.

I bring my girls here to play all the time. Swings, sand box, big play sets with slides...all kinds of fun to be had.
