We had my fathers memorial service here, in the Bruce E. Hagensen room, and it was perfect. Great views, a kitchen, and refrigerator. Ample space and tables/chairs. Projection screen and audio. It was very nice. The only downside is they do not allow you to plug in appliances for hot food, but we honestly didnt miss it. There is also a museum downstairs with interactive displays. Great to keep kids busy.

The OMSI exhibit was excellent.Loved the bird viewing and feeding station.Picnic area at rear, fountain out front. Park nearby. Lots of parking. Loved the toads. Younger kids might be easily bored, but older ones should like, especially if their adults act interested. Was hard to know what was on loan and what belonged, but we will return.

An excellent resource. The native music/dance was educationally/emotionally moving. To see multiple tribes/native veterans honored was an experience to remember. The skill and craftsmanship of the items for rememberence was abundent. I await the next cellabration.

Relatively new to the Vancouver area and heard there was a walking path in this area. Stopped by to see if they had a map... Fun interactive facility about the health our waterways. Picked up three great map/brochures of hiking trails in and around Clark county.Ran into an acquaintance in the parking lot and made plans to go walking the trail another day.Spent some time looking over the brochures and then enjoyed an afternoon on one of the trails.

Great place for kids. Lots of interactive displays from brain teasers to how electricity is made to nature and river cleanliness. And it doesnt cost a penny to get in. All the volunteers are really nice and have lots of information. One of my favorite places to take the grand kids. During the week it is almost empty.

The city of Vancouver did a fabulous job designing this facility. Aimed mainly at children the exhibits are still cool. The best thing was the aquarium with small sturgeon, the tank supposedly had coho baby fish but they were missing. They have a classes for school children on Saturdays with volunteers to help educate and keep interests high. Really great bathrooms.A great place for kids to let off steam and enjoy water activities. Many people stopped to take pictures.

Pretty cool center, kind of tricky to get to though. Also if you plan an event in their banquet room and anticipate on having your own beer/wine, make sure someone has their WA state Liquor serving permit. They didnt tell my aunt someone would need one, luckily I had one (no one else did and I had traveled from Spokane!) Not sure how much they spent renting the space out, but Im sure it wasnt cheap, and they make you vacuum and take your own trash out which is pretty lame.

Great place to take your child and have Hands-On exhibits. The nice thing is that they change every month. So theres always something new to learn about. It is a very nice facility. The staff is very friendly and very informative. I recommend getting there early because it tends to get busy very quickly. If you have a little one its definitely a fun free place to go.

They no longer have the toddler-friendly Puddles Place (despite the website info saying they do). There were interesting activities for older children but several were out of order. Lots of fun! Its free! I went on an impromptu outing here with my husband, and we enjoyed learning about Vanport and seeing the animals of the watershed (yes, thats right! Theres terrariums with frogs and a lovely window to lots of birds). Its a hidden gem; youre likely to be the only visitor. That said, this is most certainly intended for field trips. Adjust your expectations accordingly, but give it a shot.
