Rented a slow pitch softball machine for an hour - $35. Not a bad price. You have to operate it yourself (so dont come alone) and retrieve the balls in your tunnel. We came on a 90 degree day and there was no attempt to cool the place at all, so we sweat like crazy. I would recommend not coming on a hot day, or if you do, bring lots of ice water. There is a drinking fountain and sports drinks for sale. They do have bats you can use but theyre well used, so best if you bring your own. The driveway to get in is about 100 yards west of the building. You pull in there and turn left. Took me a minute to find it.
We had a blast hitting abd getting great practice time in. Well worth every dollar. Clean and friendly staff
Great place to sit back and hack at some baseballs.
I have been her multiple times. All of the staff are nice and helpful
Great staff, great clinics for kids.
Good place for pitching and hitting practice, is not heated so dress warm if you are waiting for practice to end.
Great people that love baseball and the kids working hard to play the game with passion.
Gregg is a great teacher and Coach. Knowledgeable and relates to kids well. Great indoor facility, reasonable rates. Staff is friendly.
Very friendly service. My boys loved it. They are already bugging me to take them back to The Lumber Yard.
Been at the lumber Yard quite a few times. Gregg and his staff are always very helpful. Highly recommend.
Ample time and decent space for various skill sets to work on.
Nice facility, friendly staff.
Love this place. Always a fun place to take the kids to work on ball.
The Lumberyard is a industrial park-housed indoor batting and pitching facility. They have 7 tunnels, 4 of which are about 70ft. I really dont understand why Vancouver does not have more of these types of facilities around. Its a great place to go when the weather is bad, which is about 8 months out of the year. Prices do seem high unless you buy time in bulk, which is the way to go. Owner Gregg is friendly and so is the rest of the staff. They will set up the tunnels for what you need, including pitching mounds, L screens, pitching machines, bases, tees, and buckets of baseballs or softballs. They also have a simulation system called HitTrax that will allow you to test your batting against major league ballparks so you can try to hit one over the Green Monster! During the Spring the place is packed and it can be cold inside during winter but at least its dry.
Fun place to get some practice in!
Love this place, wish it were cheaper tho =)
