My family and I went to enjoy the jingle and mingle on Main 2019 it turned out much better than I thought a huge number of people but all the programs were strategically placed where the lines would move quickly and would not back up. The Santa picture set up is very nice with all the trees hot chocolate was free nearby for standing in line and they even had art projects for the kids to do while waiting it was amazing. Right outside of the Santa photos they had two real reindeer for the kids to see feed and pet. Many other organizations set up stands which was nice it was more activities for the kids or photo shoots for the kids they even had a horse and buggy that the kids could ride on.
Have so enjoyed all the shops in the historic district. Found really nice clothes with great prices at Rethreadz and so enjoyed visiting with sisters Tracy and Shannon, owners. Purchased cute Christmas decor and ran into Elvis while shopping. Thank you, thank you very much
Great shopping... beautiful scenery
Plenty do do here, especially if you love history. Ride the train. Eat and/or shop our historic buildings. Take a tour of historical houses, buildings and land. If youre looking to film a movie set in the past, well pour the dirt out for you. Weve got the Steampunk Festival in May, the festival in fall. We just LOVE closing down Main Street to have a good time!
They have some cute shops and fun festivities every so often.
Its a really nice place to visit so many new stores and places to eat are opening up and they have a trolley you can ride a museum and Veterans Memorial so pretty.
I love the feeling here so stars hollow like..
I love the local shopping!
I love this historical Street. The architecture is great, there are many small unique shops, places to eat, historical train depot, and the King Opera House from the late 1890s. I just watched a play there this weekend The 14 months and 20 days that defined the future of Fort Smith Arkansas
Awesome time
I absolutely *love* downtown Van Buren. Ive lived in the city for roughly a decade now and it never ceases to amaze me. They have regular events that are always worth checking out, especially the Old Timers Faire, I cant recommend it enough. If youre looking for a peaceful day of window shopping or a nice homemade meal, downtown Van Buren is the place for you.
Beautiful and so neat!
Great place to visit during a festival or not
Absolutely wonderful. The city is beautiful. Preserved very well. Super rich history. The trolley is free and it takes you around town to see the citys rich history. Takes 20 minutes. Had a blast.
Cannot say enough about this entire area. We fell in love with the people and atmosphere so much so long ago that we now proudly call this area HOME for not only our buisness which has been located here for years but also now our family home!
Quite intriguing. The architecture seems to be pretty much intact. Pretty little town.
Neat buildings all pretty much restored. Neat way to spend the day.
Old buildings are beautiful and there are multiple shops along the way to check out. Several good diners as well. A lot of history to be had here, check out the drennen-scott house up the hill.
Beautiful atmosphere
Each shop is different and specializes in different tastes from the past. Its a beautiful insight of days gone by
#1 town in the river valley
Haunted! If your looking to ghost hunt go to Van Buren
Disappointed with so many vacant buildings. Thought the area would be much more vibrant.
Loved it!
Old buildings from the last century. Train rides at the depot. Many different shops to visit.
