I dropped something in the theater and left for 5 minutes, in that time they locked the doors but were still inside. i called 3 times, no answer. disrespectful.

I love this theatre. It is clean, the popcorn is always fresh and hot. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is never much of a wait time at the concession stand and there is always plenty of parking.

Awful experience. My friend and I went here to watch Unhinged and the short 4”11 ginger worker told the person selling tickets not to sell us tickets. She was out to get us. She said we need id to watch the movie. It has never been a problem for me watching a r rated movie under age. I am only a couple years under, and mature enough not to be loud and watch the movie with no problems.We we’re not causing problems in the lobby while trying to get tickets.My money will only help since theaters are dying for money. I also feel it was uncalled for since the portage theater just closed. I don’t recommend going during these COVID times.

You guys keep the movie branch so clean inside and out in the parking lot. There are so many really good movies to watch. Every time I go to Cinemark everyone I come across that are working at the time are so nice and very friendly to myself and every other person I see.

Pretty good theater for what you pay. Theres always lots of parking here, so that isnt an issue like it is at some theaters. Concessions are usually fairly quick, but like most other movie theaters the prices on food are pretty crazy. I usually just get a pop and candy, which is also several times as expensive as anywhere else. Overall, though, Cinemark Valparaiso is a decent place to watch movies with your family.

Another chain of theatres with Very uncomfortable seats which are also too narrow. Like the airlines, movie theatre seating has become a casualty of trying to maximize profits by squeezing in seating over customer comfort. Worse, these seats ROCK back and that is very disturbing. Theres no way to hold them still either. Bad. Bad.Thirty minutes of trailers is TOO MUCH. Its the triumph of advertising over customer comfort AGAIN.The sound and screen are good, clear, no complaints. The place is clean. Workers are pleasant and helpful. They get 5 stars.Clean, accessible restrooms and parking in the lot not too far.

Decent theater for the price. I moved from a larger city where tickets were astronomical so I never went. Expected the same but I may end up going more often now that I know the price. Seats were comfortable and looked fairly clean.. Concession was slow but not a huge deal because there are a good 30 minutes of previews that play at the scheduled start time for your movie. Really wish theaters stopped this practice.

Love going to the movies. Almost always amazing service. Last time I had someone that was extremely rude. Which is why I took a star away. Other wise its perfect

Much better than the portage IMAX, but would be better without the stupid seat selections. If youre going to make me select a seat, you should upgrade the theatre to the recliner type. Otherwise great though, the cheddar popcorn they recently added is bomb

The volume of the movie was a little too loud unless it is to accommodate the older adults who cant hear well. Other than that, our experience with the theater was good. Good customer service.

The theater is really nice, comfortable seats especially for handicapped people. We saw Uncut Gems which was awful and I would not recommend it. We left before it ended. The sound was way too loud.

The seats used to be more comfortable than any other theaters but are just average now. The sound is a bit too loud and of course the concessions are a ridiculous price, like most cinemas.

A movie theater with comfortable seats and a friendly staff, hard to come by sometimes but this place has both.

My husband and I went to cinemark last night, we selected our seats and were the first ones in the theatre.. people eventually started to fill the seats around us.. the entire back row was packed and it made me and my husband very uncomfortable, I had to sit with my purse on my lap which made it so I couldnt enjoy my snacks that I bought.. this assigned seating is not good.. will not be back, probably go to Hobart or portage..Get rid of it, when things arent broke dont fox them!

This was my first visit to this theater and I enjoyed going. Concession stand great customer service, the popcorn made fresh which is always a plus. The pop wasnt watered down another plus. The place was very clean and the seats were comfortable. The movie screen was clear. It was a welcoming type atmosphere I will go back soon.

Was very unhappy with reserved seating for a matinee. It took up a lot of time picking seats with one person as the cashier. The line was terrible and we got there 15 minutes before the start of the preview. We got into the show with the movie starting. I have been through chemotherapy and if I walked in with reserved seating and someone was coughing, I couldnt have stayed there. I picked an aisle seat from the screen right next to an emergency exit, but had to walk all the way around to get to my seat. Very unsafe if there had been any emergency.

Always a good clean time. Snack bar is a little overly expensive but that is common now. Good place to bring the family.

I love coming to 5 dollar Tuesday with my husband. We love the popcorn.

Wow the theater is very clean including restrooms. However I think their prices are couple dollars too high. But since I had a gift card I took my husband to enjoy the premiere of Godzilla!!! It was awesome. I wont ruin it for you just go see it. the best deal is you get a free refill on large drinks and large popcorn so if you go with your whole family its quite a deal. Very nice theater I would go again.

Cinemark is a Good place to see a movie. Asigned seating so you can pick your seat. Clean and Tuesday is Senior nite.

Saw 3 From Hell, only available 3 nights. $15 a ticket. It was supposed to include a Behind the scenes documentary after the film. After about 20 minutes of it, just turned off and house lights turned on. When we asked the girl behind the counter, couldnt give any sort of explanation. So do I get half my money back since I only got half of what I paid for? This is the sort of hastle that makes people pirate movies. Disappointing to the extreme

Today was not the best experience Ive had here. Movie screen completely dark until 2 mins before the movie started. Popcorn was burnt.

Went to see Dolittle as a date with the husband. The theaters are always clean, the employees are very helpful when asking about upcoming products and movies, the only neg thing is the crazy prices at the concession stand. Though that is to be expected.

Theater was clean but hated the reserved seating for the matinee. Took forever in line to get tickets because everyone purchasing tickets couldnt decide where to sit and then had to turn around to get back in a huge line for the popcorn. There was not enough staff to make this a speedy process. We got there 15 min early but it took almost a half hour to get to our seats. Movie had gone thru all the pre movie clips. We just made the start of the actual movie. We will be coming the portage theater more than this one in the future.

This place is my far my favorite movie theaters. The popcorn is out of this world! The staff is really friendly and helpful! They keep the theaters very clean! If you love movies make sure you go here!

Usually a great place to watch a movie. Was embarrassed how filthy dirty #6 was for Friday 4:30 showing of breakthrough. Was never cleaned up. There was popcorn, trash, sticky floors everywhere. It was extremely difficult to find 5 clean seats together. There was only about 20 people in the place. Took about 10min. To even find an employee to complain to. An employee finally did show up during previews an made little effort to pick up. Everyone in the theater should have left or got refunds... Worst ever

This place is decently clean, pretty well together. Tickets & concessions are a bit outrageously priced but thats like that at most theaters. For some weird reason though they only do refills on large sized popcorn & drinks which is a little frustrating. They do taste pretty good though, so you get what you pay for. Very comfortable seats in the theaters, they even have special seats for those who are handicapped! Overall a really nice place, definitely recommend!

Frozen 2 with my wife and 2 daughters (5 and 3). Literally 30 minutes of commercials and previews after the posted start time. Would suggest arriving 20 - 25 minutes after the posted start time. Seats are reserved anyway. Spoke with the manager and she said there was nothing the location can do about the quantity of previews before movies increases around the holidays. 30 minutes of extra attention (especially for the 3yo) is a tall ask. Disappointed.

This new reserved seating is awful and pointless, everyone despised it, no one was in their “right seats” we couldn’t hold a spot for our friend coming separate from us. This is just another terrible new element of the already deteriorating theater experience. Going Back to pirating movies, gladly taking money from your corporate fat-cat wallets.

Normally we go to portage but we had a gift certificate so we went to valpo. Valpo is higher priced on their refills for sure. Portage you get free refills on all sizes of pop, not just the large. Popcorn and slushy refills are cheaper, also. And its dark in valpo cinema where as the portage IMAX is bright and cheerful. The seats at valpo are made for slender people only it seems. In portage you have more room. I dont like the bags that the popcorn come in. At portage all sizes come in a bucket or a glass type for any size you get which leads to less butter getting on your clothes.

Theyre always clean and kind and the theaters are very nice.

Good ol regular theater. Every time over been it hasnt been to busy, so perfect for a date to chill out and watch a movie. :). Their prices arent the cheapest in the area, but if you live close its the east in the approximate area and I belive the only theatre if you live around downtown valpo. Not the biggest theatre, but its been well kept and clean every time Ive been. Basic run of the mill, good movie theater.

This theater is clean, the seats are comfortable, the bathrooms are well tended, the sound quality is good, and the staff is almost always courteous and helpful. They have a good selection of snacks, and the snack pack for kids is a good bargain, especially for theater food. I have never had a bad experience here!

Great movie theater, very comfy seats.

Very clean. Good prices. The chairs are horrible tho. Especially if youre short. My back and legs were so stiff and numb after the movie it hurt to walk. They recline and thats the problem.

The movies theatre is in a nice shopping center right off the exit. There is a variety of shopping centers nearby and an eating establishment. They have recent run movies including 3d. There is a nice variety of food choices and the movies area was clean.

Nice theater, a step below the Portage theatre. Needs improvements to concession prices, better combo prices would help.

This place is stupid expensive. They don’t show prices on the combo deals, I paid $20 for a popcorn and two drinks. They will gauge you. Wish I could leave one star but I can’t unfortunately. Anyone know of more affordable theaters or do those not exist anymore?

We recently had my daughter’s 7th Birthday party here and they were very accommodating. They were very responsive to my emails and thorough with all questions. They were a breeze to work with and had an outstanding experience. Would highly recommend.

Then I winked at him and said no really dont hold back, lots of butter.He did not disappoint.The two people that got in line behind me and didnt hear my very specific request for extra butter were so disturbed by how much butter he put on my popcorn that they requested their popcorn to have NO butter. Their loss.The popcorn I dropped on my shirt during the movie may have left a grease stain.Hands down, this place has the best popcorn of 2019.

I went to this theater to see the simulcast of the Met Opera. The simulcast was great. However the theater restroom was lacking. There was only icy water to wash my hands and to add insult to injury the hand dryer only blew cold air.
