Great experience at theatre. Parking all over. Restaurants a walk away. Lighting and sound fine from all seating. One bathroom and a line at intermission, so plan accordingly. Been going for years and the facilities have been improved all along.

The history of the theater. It had personality . The audience seemed to be regulars who loved their theater. Smaller stage size than new theaters, but well used. Excellent talent presented a surprisingly entertaining show with audience participation.

Please put tape over your chairs that have the metal coming through. Thats not fun for anyones bottom. The staff was very pleasant. The bartender was throwing away opened soda that she used for mixed drinks but there was some soda left. She offered it to my kids. That was thoughtful. The parking lot next door says its for only certain buildings so parking was hard to find. The building is old but is updated and looks awesome

The doors were closed, but I could see one of set designers or contractors creating back drops for their next show.It was exciting to look in the main doors and see the stage the seats and the elaborate balcony box seats.I am looking forward to go in for a show and hopefully a tour. I love buildings that are preserved for others to know our history.

The Rock the Opera House Lunch Cabaret was dreadful...lackluster, off-key singers and musicians that didnt play well together at all. Definitely not worth the $15 price tag for 1 hour of boring.

Great play venue. We went to see A Christmas Story. The production was outstanding. The ushers and ticket agents were friendly and helpful. The only drawback, and this is the same with most old opera houses, is that the seats are right. We will definitely go again to see other productions.

This is a gem for northern Indiana. Following the civil war, each county in Indiana was allocated $1000 for a civil war monument. Valparaiso set up this beautiful building instead. Currently, a wonderful team of staff and volunteers are continuing that legacy“We want to do something for our home town rather than have the town do something for us,”  - J.R. Drapier in 1893Currently, a wonderful team of staff and volunteers are continuing that legacy. Check it out!

Professional caliber performers for an amateur price. The building is historic so the seats are on the small side as well as the aisles and restrooms. They did a remarkable job restoring the opera house to its former glory. I recommend buying tickets in advance online for better seats.

The Memorial Opera house is a great cultural center with a wide range of performances; from classical operas to modern musicals. It encourages local talent because anyone in the community can audition. The only downside is that tickets can be pricey.
