Went a few months ago, kids loved the huge game room, we all loved lazer tag ( a first for all of us). Oh and getting to feed the gators was iceing on the cake. Cant wait to try everything else.

This place is always fun! Both for a family outing or just a fun adults night out! They serve beer and also have pizza and soda, they have 2 mini-golf courses, an arcade, batting cages, laser tag, and go-karts. So there is something for everyone!

My family & I went to Zao Island last night & we had a blast. We ate pizza (which was delicious) & we played 18 hole mini golf (blue side) which was also awesome. I forgot just how awesome & affordable this place really is. Can’t wait to come back.

My grand kids love it. But it is like Vegas for kids. Your out of money in no time. So it is not something we can do often.

Well.......this isnt anything special. Slide was closed. Laser tag was closed. Only thing open was the go-carts..(not long enough) mini golf (course is very bad. Not clean and none of the waterfalls were on or anything.) And the arcade. That was the best thing there. Thats why Im giving this three stars. Good variety of games.

Even with everything going on with COVID-19 the staff was very great and fast and the food was still 100% great. Everyone wore masks and stayed distance from everyone else and all the arcade games were really fun. Definitely going here again!

Not much customer service utilized on this trip. We chose the mini golf $7 for 18 holes and go karts $6 for a few laps. The alligators were pretty cool and overall the blue course of mini golf was pretty good. It wasnt overly crowded and everyone seemed to be social distancing pretty well.

The Wrights and company do a fantastic job of keeping this place as the premier entertainment spot in the area. Delicious pizza, arcade is great! Its an NWI staple!

Its okay I think the games got rigged,early in the season we would win a lot &get lots of points. I spent $20 a few months back,and we won,had a huge bag waking out. Tonight I spent $50,&my daughter got 3 prizes. It has clearly been rigged somehow

Great wedding venue. Its very new. Air conditioning was too much, and Im not usually one to complain. I usually run hot and prefer the air, but it was very cold. The venue is gorgeous. The actual amusement part of the island is a lot of fun. Go karts, mini golf, arcade. Lots of fun.

Fun place to visit. Sometimes the lines can be a little long, but thats to be expected. Kids seem to love the go carts the best. Only giving it 4 stars because we read that they had bumper cars and it turns out that they dont and because the mini golf area is in need of some repair. Its neat to see the little alligators. :-)

Had a birthday party here. The space for us was great. We had plenty of room, seating and additional tables for food, gifts and cake. The pizza is good and a variety of drinks with adult beverages available for purchase as well if anyone is interested. The kids get cards with a set amount prepaid and a laser tag entry. A lot of game options for all ages and some little rides for tiny guests. I wish we had the space for a while longer than an hour and a half, but I get that there are quite a few parties. Lots more happening outside in the warmer weather, but we had a great time in March!

The decor, activities, and food? Wonderful. The kids that work there? Overworked, constantly running around, and understaffed. I understand that they may not have a ton of people working due to this virus but to have ONE GIRL working the front by herself??????? Outrageous. You could see the damn stress on her face. My sister and I went with a few friends for some pizza and drinks but all we could do is feel bad for the poor staff here.

Zao Island is awesome. Great mini golf, nice arcade, laser tag, batting cages, go karts, food, oh and did I mention alligators? Yeah thats right, you can feed the agitators. Who doesnt like gators?

Nice enough place for the kids. Needs lighting on some areas of golf course. Wish they had a senior discount.

Thee best place in the area for kids. Adults can enjoy the food and drinks as well. The pizza was really good. Been going here since I was a great. Fun environment. Only thing I would recommend is more indoor activities during the winter but great visit as always.

Fun time only thing is that laser tag was closed. Go kart are not made for curvy women lol my hips and and thighs.

Rude cashiers. Super hot. Needs air or more fans. Couldnt enjoy atmosphere because of heat. Didnt spend all money off card because couldnt take how hot it was inside.

This place is awesome!! My husband and I discovered it along our trip to Indiana Dunes. Always on the hunt for a cool mini golf spot, we had to stop. This was one of the best weve been to. Batting cages, putt putt, an awesome arcade, go karts, and food...what more could you ask for?

Love zao. We got married at the greenhouse venue 1 year ago today! We went back for the mems and to play mini golf. Wanted to get pizza, but ran out of time unfortunately.

Super cute place, great atmosphere. Really feels like youre on a boardwalk. The mini golf was really well done, except for a few dry water features. The guys working the go karts were not very interested in doing their jobs- after another driver spun me and my daughter out it took a few minutes of yelling and waving my arms for anyone to notice. So the rules of no bumping definitely arent enforced. The arcade was super fun. The cards were a very handy way to keep track of everything. Were out of towners, but would come back if in the area again! Oh and how cute are those little alligators!?

Terrible overpriced rude staff

I have been performing with multiple local bands there since 2009 when the alligators were still in the back . The staff is always curtios and kind, and this establishment is a cornerstone of Valparasio, Indiana.

Sadly way below expectations this time. We frequent this establishment. Tonight we had to bear the harsh odor of decaying fish in the river that flows through the golf course. In the holes 1-5 and 14-16 its almost unbearable. The sight was disgusting and you see the 2 foot long fish just rotting in a shallow creek. If Zao Island isnt responsible for their removal they should have DNR get in there ASAP and clean it up. I seriously wanted to vomit from the stench. So unfortunately I have to leave a poor rating this time.

Great for family fun! Miniature Golf on 2 different courses, laser tag, arcade games, Go-carts, batting cages and snacks and drinks. Summer weekends offer live music. Birthday parties are great and easy to setup. Been going here since it was Wrights Barnyard. Always fun, always enjoyable!

Not what it was when I was a kid, and a few attractions werent open, but they still enough to do to kill a couple of hours.Still loud, crowded, but now I feel old.

A lit of fun, but the courses were very dirty. The numbers by each hole extremely faded. No benches to sit on or writing surfaces to keep score. And to top it all off, the 18th hole on both courses was closed for maintenance. We were told at the end to choose another hole as the 18th. Still, I would visit again, but they really need to do some basic upkeep.

We had a great time visiting here. Theres plenty of fun things to do for all ages. The facility has been updated and is clean and very nice looking. Our kids especially loved the go karts and the video games, but there are batting cages, miniature golf, and lazer tag too. We ordered a pizza and other food, which was all very good. Definitely worth a visit!

Laser tag was pretty awesome. much better and bigger than I thought it would be. go karts are fast even the two seaters. 2 mini golf courses are great. big fun slide is good for kids but its $3 per slide. arcade is awesome lots of choices for all ages only thing is when its hot outside its also hot inside. my son and I were both sweating by the time we left. other than that love this place

Zao is a nice place to take the kids to have fun!! They have mini golf, go karts, laser tag batting cages and bumper cars as their main attractions!! Also can see and feed alligators!! Of course kids are going to love playing in the arcade area!! Adults can enjoy sitting outside on the patio drinking a few brews!! Zao Island is a little on the pricey side but the kids will enjoy it. The food is where they will really get you, so we like to eat either before or after our visit here!!

Really fun and fairly cheap for kids... it would be 5 stars if they provided helmets for the go karts. It doesnt seem safe by Canadian standards. No helmets on motorcycles either here so I guess I shouldnt have been shocked.

Love taking our family here just be prepared to spend like 150 for a family of 4 but still fun

I celebrated my sons 12 birthday here and it was the best.the pizza was great, the beer was a little pricey but all in all we had a great time
