Sunrise Multiplex Cinemas

Well, its usable. Not especially clear. Has rather sloping floor so if you sit behind of tall person, then you are a little bit out of luck (just move on as it shouldnt be packed tightly). Sits are kind of old style - I cannot call them extremely comfortable. It looks family friendly - lots of kids, nice atmosphere.

Reading the other reviews... people are so dramatic! Are there metal detectors? Yes. Are the floors sticky? Yes. Are the staff not enthusiastic about being there? Yes. Is there a need to go so far as Hating the place for all of that? Sure I guess, but I dont think its all that bad. This theater IS pretty gettho, but I take advantage of it, because I can go there after school and its a great opportunity for my kids to watch a movie without worrying about annoying other people. Its the only theater in the area now that they got rid of the other one that was a block away, which was actually cleaner and much more inviting. And although theyve checked my bags, Ive never been told to get rid of drinks and snacks that Ive packed for my kids. For the area, it really needs to be upgraded considering everything else around there is pretty decent. It has ample parking, lots of movies that show there, but the rooms are small, the floors are sticky, yes the chairs are old too. If you want to impress a date, please do NOT go here LOL but in general, dont feel like youre going to get shot in here, because theres metal detectors... the place is fine. Not great, but fine. No need to be over dramatic about it.

Not to bad, but if you know any other movie theater i suggest you pass this one.Pros - Big parking lot, inside is pretty clean, ticket agents are pretty nice.Cons - the parking lot can be filthy at times due to flee-markets, some rude employees, especially at the food court, dirty bathrooms, no cup holders, most people that go here are ghetto and ignorant,its okay but dont expect to come to this movie theater without some mishap.

This is a good movie theater never had a problem i grew up coming to this movie theater

I grew up watching movies at Sunrise Multiplex beginning in the early 80s. I remember seeing ET, Jaws 3 & Friday the 13th Part 3 both in 3D, Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi at that theater, which then had the reputation for showing almost all the movies inside the largest theaters. The sole reason that theater has metal detectors is few probably recall a shooting occurred in one of the theaters on Christmas Day 1990. My friends were watching then the premiere of Godfather 3, when they described just hitting the floor soon as gun shots went off, crazy thing I thought was they just joked about it right after it happened?!I rarely liked revisiting that theater during the 90s, except one of my buddys who worked late nights dragged me out to see movies there, when at the time Sunrise had the last movie time showings in the area, usually 12:00am. So it was sometimes common Id get home from work and relax a few hours and he would always drive his car and we often joked walking out after the movie if his car was still there? Take it for what its worth....

The worst movie theater Ive ever been to in my life. Seats falling apart, no AC, stale popcorn and soda, funky smell, dirty walls, and Im sitting here in all this while the movie still hasnt starred its now over half an your late than when it should have. This place is seriously ghetto with metal detectors at the entrance. This place should be condemned and owners sued.

Chairs are very springy and uncomfortable. There is no cup holders and the floors are sticky. This theater is old and needs a modern renovation. The screens are small. But the staff is friendly and there is a huge parking lot

Why are the stupid floors so sticky? The one thing I give this movie theater credit for is the food service cause their always on point. Believe that I would only go to these movies when I cant find better, but for such a rural area the movies theaters can use a new make over.

Horrible. I went there after going to the TGI Fridays down the street. I had my takeout bag expecting to eat the rest when I got home. I brought a movie ticket for Lucy and -mind you this is my first time going there- I was told that no outside food was allowed. If I had know that in the first place I would have never brought a ticket. I had to proceed to go through airport security where i had to go through a metal detector and the security guard checked all of my bags inside and out and threw my food away-although Im pretty sure he ate it. Got into the theater where is was hot and stank with pieces of chairs falling off. DONT GO THERE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Next time hop on a bus and go to Jamacia Complex

Went to this theater with my pregnant sister-in-law and two toddlers. Got to security and was dumbfounded when I had to open my bag to let the security guard search it. The seats and floor were sticky with old food everywhere except along the aisle, like I wouldnt notice. YUCK!!!

Need better seats n cup holders
