Really better place for get pens and books

Always filled with useful supplies sometimes understocked do to how much everyone loves it always alot of people buying supplies

I don’t live near this Michaels so this is not my home-base, but I was looking for a particular item that according to the website only this store would have. So I called yesterday and THREE times someone answered and said please hold before even asking what I needed or waiting for me to respond. Each time I waited 10-15 minutes before hanging up and trying again. It was super annoying, but I figured maybe they had a bare bones staff since they were closing in an hour and a half. Which is not a good excuse, but fine...Then I called today and finally I got to speak to someone and tell them what I was generally looking for (the brand). I attempted to tell them what I specifically needed, but was already put in hold. I then waited on the phone for 20 MINUTES before disconnecting. Not once did someone come back to the phone to give me a status update or even ask me the specific item I needed.So at this point, I’m really frustrated, and I called back and asked to speak to a manager. The manager literally said he could see the area where my item was stocked from where he was standing. It took all of 5 minutes just to find out they didn’t even have it in the store despite the website saying they did. Furthermore, the manager didn’t even attempt to make it seem like he would address this issue with his employees. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed and surprised at the lack of customer service of this particular location. Though looking at other reviews, I can tell CS is not this store’s priority. What a shame.I love the Michaels by my house, but this store really needs to pick up the slack. I would recommend going to another location if you have the option.

Line was a little wait as there was only 1 cashier but they had what I was looking for at a reasonable price. Two 12x18 frames with a 30% coupon for signing up for email for $12. They also had candles on clearance for $1.99!

Xavier is one of the worst Manager that works for Micheals in Valley Stream he used unnecessary foul Language, he showed no form of respect to his employees. Xavier used his rank to boss everyone around,threatening his employees jobs. Stating that the other Managers and him communicate about who there hiring and firing, stating this out loud to his employees implying fear that hes the one who can take there job away from them. Because there seasonal workers how do you hire anyone like that hes, a monster so effective immediately i have taken the necessary steps to having this store looked into. Please deal with your Manager i have made a claim with the state there will be actions be taken. Ive already email the long island News. Please take these actions SERIOUSLY

Amazing selection of all types of arts and crafts supplies, I love their pens and markers section, also good frames for photos and paintings.

I love coming here for my crafting needs but it can be incredibly hard to find an employee on the floor to ask for help from. Also they have recently reopened from the quarantine and shelves were bare. If you found someone they were happy to look in the plastic bins on top of each aisle to find items not on shelves.

Do not waste your time going to the store in Valley Stream youre better off going to the one in Oceanside. Its like they do not do any inventory at all can care less about doing stock. Almost every time that I went there never had anything in stock and I go to Oceanside and found everything that I needed I repeat do yourself a favor do not go to this store itll be a waste of time. Completely horrible customer service

This store have a large selection of products. However, the organization is a little messy. You can find great price for item if you are willing to go through and find what you need.

Love going to this particular store in Green Acres Mall. It is well organized and stocked, clean, and adequately staffed so youre able to find someone to assist you.

The stock in this store is always lacking. Understaffed and the lines are perpetually long. The Oceanside location is much better.

Curbside is absolutely horrible and needs to be discontinued . This is my 3rd curbside pickup and each time I still have to go inside to pick up my order. Today I sat outside for almost 20 mins and spoke to 4 different associates and I still had to go inside because they couldve find the iPad.

My wife who is the Michaels/ craftsman of the family says it was very disorganized.

I wanted to try this store out since i was in this area but this is the worst Michaels ever!! The store was so disorganize and i there was huge line and only one person at the registers and people were complaining after 25 minutes waiting in line and literally a costumer had to tell other employers to open another register and with a bad face the other person open a second register, if there is laZy people working there and hiding and not wanting to open the registers is not the costumer problem!! Hopefully management do something about it

Michaels is an arts and crafts store that have their own parking lot area theyre wheelchair accessible they have tons of merchandise that you know you cant get too many places anymore because basically a lot of the arts and crafts stores are going out of business because people just dont seem to be doing those kind of things anymore however there is one thing about the place that stood out as a negative to me is that the Isles arent really marked properly for you to be able to tell whats down each aisle in addition to that the personal help is very limited so when you walk in there youre basically walking into a jungle of arts and crafts where there is not too many people to help you its hard to find someone except the person serving people at the desk and basically there isnt a good aisle arrangement for you to be able to understand or get a good idea where something might be if youre looking through the place they need to really organize the Isles and get more people on the floor to service the people

Micheal was ok. They have a lot of art and hobby supplies there, but they are expensive. They do have some stuff that is priced decently, but not a lot. If your are looking for arts and supplies I recommend that you order them online as they can be had for much cheaper.

They just hAve everything you need if youre into crafting and making your own jewelery . They also have good deals.

The store has everything what you need for art and crafts

Incompetent staff. Needed a specific item for making jewelry. Called before I left the house to ensure the item I needed was at the store. Wasted my gas - item turns out not to be in the store at all. Then coworker starts making up excuses. Only bright side is the new guy working there was chill.

My wife took three paintings to be framed. After paying more than $400, three weeks later she went to pick them up and it turned out they did a horrible job (you could see the folding marks). The framing manager apologized and said they would fix it, four weeks more go by and nobody called. She went to the store to pick them up and it turns out that they still hadnt fix it. The general manager apologized and said they were going to do it the same day, another week goes by and they still hadnt framed the paintings. She ended up going there like six different times until she finally decided to ask for the money back. The canvas in the one painting that they did wasnt stretch at all. Horrible experience.

I would spend my entire paycheck here along with my 401k. They always have sales and lots of crafts to buy. Friendly staff and always clean facilities. Visit this place often and stuff.

Quick shopping but be prepared to wait on line. The sales are interesting how they put together craft projects on discount. They have increased their sticker game to include journals. However the stickers tend to more more of the same, would love to see more variety and other genres like new home, first car, etc..

Michaels is ALWAYS a crafters wonderland! The lines always moves smoothly at this location. The deals are pretty good on seasonal items as well

This location (Green acres valley stream) is nice. Has a lot, the lines can move a bit slow at times though. But overall good experience.

I like Michaels, it usually serves my needs if Im looking for any type of arts and crafts store supplies like that. I definitely like Michaels over the other hobby stores that are popping up around Long island. The prices at Michaels definitely a lot better then newer hobby stores. I also like it better than Jo-Anns because of the flow of the store

Purchase some photo frames. Large assortment. Premise needs to be more attractive with more foliage and decor. Coupon savings was Awesome! Staff was hospitable and friendly.

So glad Michaels is still around in this area!! My son has been doing Art and Crafts since he was 4...he is 16 years old now and we are grateful to have them and be able to find all our art and hobby needs here.

***Truck Drivers***Delivering here you MUST enter between the Vitamin Shoppe and Michaels, turn right between the buildings and turn right into the Vitamin Shoppe parking lot. Get straight and back into dock. You will have to jump the curb. I was told theres overnight parking but unless youre in the dock you will be woke up often by security and threatened to be towed. Once I figured out how, it was easy.

A bit pricey, but inspiring to the creative mind. Good parking.

Helpful staff..

Staff is great very helpful and polite they are smart very intelligent people . Make u feel welcome and comfortable.

While I like the convenience of this Michaels location, it seems to never have what I need. In comparison to the Westbury store it seem less stocked or certain items are not available in that store. I try to use the aisle locator on app and that was not helpful at all. So I had to keep finding an employee. Staff are friendly, store is clean.

I went to Michaels for yarn & a crocheting needle.I was able to find what I needed. Similar to other Michaels, there were plenty of D.I.Y stuff and a few things for the classroom (My friend was able to grab some things for her kindergarten classroom.). Admittedly, I do feel that this store should work on adding price tags to items throughout the store. It was hard to tell how much items cost. In addition, during the time I went, I wish there were more sales people on the floor. But I must admit, I saved plenty of money from the sales here and my teacher discount. Plus the customer service that the cashier provided was great as he was patient and answered all questions. I know that I will definitely be coming back here.

I was there on 12/23/18 to purchase a last minute Xmas gift that I just thought about at the spur of the moment. The Micheals app said limited quantities, so I thought I had some luck. I quickly drove to my local store. Upon entering I felt like I came too late. Everything was a mess, and few empty shelves. I went to the yarn section. I couldn’t locate the item I wanted. Not one sales person was working the floor, not one! I felt retail had disintegrated a lot, I felt like it’s a help yourself atmosphere. All the sales people were in the front of the store with checkout. I went over to framing area twice. Until I saw a sales lady. I felt hope, she answered my questions and I had to quickly go to the nearest store which was Oceanside. The drive wasn’t bad, 20 minutes. And they had. What I wanted, I sensed it was partially used., but nothing was missing. Anyway. Used a coupon to buy it and was happy to have gotten what I came to buy, now retail isn’t what it used to be.

Every knickknack, stationary, kiddies and arts supplies, toys, photo frames in one place. You need a car to access this location but a good choice for your quick dash for supplies

I placed an order to pick up at the store on February 6th and received an email that it was ready for pick up on the 9th. I went on the morning of the 12th to get my order and there was 1 register open with 1 customer being taken care of. When I was called, I stated that I was there for pick up and the cashier told a woman that had been there foing something else and left. She asked my name and at first she couldnt find my order. She finally found it and gave it to meIt seems that to me that there needs to be a dedicated line/area for pick up and certainly a better system. For all the waiting that I had to do, I may as well gone to the store and stood on a long line! This was not a great experience and it surely leaves a lot to be desired!

I love Michaels but today I have a really bad customer service experience. A worker named Cristal, the only one on the floor, with red long braids didn’t want to help at all. Not only me, but I saw two other customers that approached her for advise or direction. Her response not only was rude but completely unwilling to help. If she doesn’t like people maybe she should be working in a place where there is no face to face interaction.

Easy to get to, large assortment for crafts and last minute school projects.

Love Micheals arts and craft for all my household crafting and business ideas and materials. You can meet so many other people who share the same hobbies as you do and business ideas. Prices are reasonable and the staff at most locations are quite pleasant and ready to assist you when needed. Their weekly coupons keeps you going back for more, but its all worth it.
