Lovely recreational park. Seems not populated, we were the only ones there. Nice goose and ducks. Peaceful, simply heaven on earth. The train bridge offers a nice contrast to all the green surrounding you. Recommended for nice views and for its tranquillity.

A nice, pretty quiet park to relax by the river. There is plenty of shade, a playground, and a fishing area. Make sure you have bug spray in the summer though, lots of mosquitoes!

Very quiet park, not a lot of foot traffic and a great place to kayak and canoe! Came across a crane and some geese as I was kayaking and there were a few fish jumping out of the water as well. Good local place to see some wildlife!

Chautauqua is always a good park to go and relax... plenty of space a dig park and fun playground toys for the kids.

Bridge was interesting, another structure that is amazing they built back when they did not have the equipment they have today. yet built, an interesting short stop.

The park is embellished by the iconic Hi-Line Bridge, winding Sheyenne River, and plethora of trees. Weather permitting, its perfect for picnics and walks.

Beautiful park. Nice equipment for different age levels. I do miss the roller slide though. Lots of open space for picnics, family gatherings, weddings, other activities and the Pavilion is a very nice building. Beautiful inside and well maintained kitchen and bathrooms (that are also spacious).

This park has a lot to offer its visitors. There is a dog park on the the south side. A large grassy area for kids and adults to play games. There is a boat ramp area and a public fishing dock. There is a playground and many picnic areas with grills. There is also a pavilion available to rent from the Parks and Recreation Dept. .. there is an exercise gym area. Finally there is Pokemon gym here as well of lots of area to walk around to hatch eggs.

What a wonderful place to take the kids and spend time with immediate family and extended family has the Chautue is well sized for parties of all sizes.

Great place to take the family. All sorts of playground accessories for the kids. Plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy a meal, as well as plenty of trees to sit under for shade. Access to the water to fish, and a covered pavilion for weather with bathrooms. One of the best/nicest parks Ive been to. As nice or nicer than alot of state parks that I have been to.

The smallest park in Valley City. They have a dog park though so if you want to bring your dog then this is the park to go to.

Lots of open space and never overrun with people. the quiet river borders this park along with the Hiline bridge it is a nice place to enjoy Valley City
