Pretty park with a nice trail around a pond. No parking however. To visit this park you have to park in the school parking lot to the east of the park or along the street to the south of the park.

Such a beautiful park in the middle of Urbandale! Walking path around pond, grilling and picnicking accommodations, fishing access, and connections to other trails

Great for biking, roller skating, walking or taking your dog for a walk

Its clear that the park hasnt been maintained for a while. There was trash floating in the water and scattered all over in the grass. There were dead snails and frogs floating in the water, and the smell coming off the pond is enough to turn your stomach, especially on a hot day.

Great place for stroll with the family or a bike ride with the family. A fun place to fish as well. Beautiful picnic area on the North side of the lake to enjoy a barbecue or a picnic. Happy little lake with lots of geese and ducks about. Great for teaching little ones about nature, colors, counting, and getting some sensory activities in.

Very nice pond with several paved paths to explore the local area. Picnic area with grill and roofed area. Dock and shore fishing. Family friendly.

Nice park but grass around the dock area is still really wet. The ducks and geese are all out in force.

4th July Parade was ok to see but didnt get there early enough this time to get great shades seats on the hill. Wished Wasnt so much gaps in between the parade though.

Nice little lake with a trail around it that links to other trails in the neighborhood. School parking lot has a trail that leads to park. Good place for walking, running, even biking. Nice backdrop for pictures here. No restroom or play area for kids, but there are benches around the lake and picnic tables.

What an awesome little find! Wanted a nice quite place to meet with an individual from my church and this place was perfect. Plenty of shade, ducks, parks, benches, and looks like a nice place for a picnic.

Nice walking trail in a beautiful neighbor hood and not real long with places to sit down around the pond, and enjoy the view

Love this place. The animals are very friendly and fearless. I found a turtle here on the trail and I put him back in the pond. Now I wish I had kept him. Wonderful place

Great place to run, watch your step because of the Geese feces though. Dont know why it is called Lakeview park though.. its not even that big, nor is it considered a lake to anyone even. Made a lot of memories with my family there growing up, and the Middle schools mile run is done there.

No matter the time of day or day of the week, it isnt too busy. If you go for a walk, a run or ride your bike you are easily connected with a variety of path routes that take you through subdivisions and away from the nearby traffic. It is also helpful that the park is connected to Urbandale Middle Schools parking, making it easy to park and enjoy.

Theres no public parking to access the park, except at the middle school, and users have to figure that out. Gives the feeling that its not really a public park.
