Champaign-Urbana Adventures in Time and Space

CU Adventures is always a blast. Weve frequented their old location, which was wonderful, but the new building is fantastic. The staff has always, for years, been consistently helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and the quality of their puzzles has never faltered. Whether you live in the area or are visiting and want to try an ornate, unique escape room experience, I cant recommend CU Adventures enough.

Played two games today and had an absolutely fantastic time. The escape rooms are tricky in a good way, and very well put together. There is always help available if you need it, but its done in a way which is still immersive. I would absolutely recommend Adventures in Time and Space to anyone wanting to try out an escape room.

I did revenge of the cabin with friends for my birthday and it was so fun!! The room had some difficult puzzles but the staff was so helpful throughout the entire time! A bonus is that you are given unlimited hints which is great if you have a group like my friends.. Overall, it was a 11/10 experience!! We will definitely be back!

We did the Cabin room. Maggie was an amazing Game Keeper. Definitely will be going back for other rooms!

Such a fun escape room! I went with a group of seven and we had an amazing time. The room was enormous with lots of really cool technology in their puzzles. The game master was so nice, and there isn’t a limit on hints so whenever we were frustrated we were able to get help. I recommend this place!

Was our first time doing an escape room. The host was really nice and COVID safe. Really enjoyed doing this today!

Absolutely top notch- such attention to detail and run so well. Passionate people and a great great time

We did the “Calling All Villans” escape room! It was a great experience for being the first time in an escape room for all 4 of us! The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout the event. We had only 2 adults and 2 10 year old boys and came within 1 lock of completing it...so it is challenging but very do-able! Can’t wait to do another one! Great Indoor “active” activity to do on a rainy or very hot summer day!!

My husband and I played the Lost Temple - Play at home escape room online and it was so much fun! We manage to take our time to go through the game without feeling rushed. Highly recommended. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Story-oriented escape rooms with fantastic staff! The villains room (their biggest) was awesome!

Excellent staff fully committed to giving customers an immersive experience full of role playing and storyline.

Have done 7 different escape rooms and this one was by far the best.

Did the Revenge of the Cabin one with a my bf and a couple of friends. Had an absolute blast. The room is very well thought out, creepy (as it should be), and a constant thrill ride. The puzzles were challenging but not too difficult if youre new to escape rooms. Highly recommend it for people of all experience levels. 10/10.

Went with the family for our first escape room. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We faced The Wizards Curse, and had a lot of fun. The staff will offer hints if you need them, not the sort that will solve the room for you, but sometimes an idea of where to look. I liked that each room has coat hooks inside. Being able to stash personal items out of the way, and yet in sight, was nice. Rooms include pencil and paper to keep track of clues or solve simple logic puzzles. Will definitely go again!

Finally got a group of friends together to do an escape room and we had a blast! The rooms were done with such attention to detail. There were the clues we needed of course, but also so many details that just pulled the atmosphere together. The staff was great and helpful when needed. We would definitely do it again.

While out celebrating my wifes birthday, our group of 6 had an absolute blast at CU Adventures In Time and Space. If you are unsure like I was, just do it! This is fun and exciting. Brian was our host/guide and was very friendly, funny, helpful and patient. We are lucky to have something like this in our community. Everyone in our group said they would go back.

We took the family out for the Game Night escape room and it was amazing. Awesome staff and a great time out. They really did a great job on the rooms. Highly recommend going, well worth the price of admission.

This place is far and away the best escape room experience Ive ever had. I have been twice and both times times have been amazing. They only give hints if you are truly stuck and they are not too easy, so you still feel good about figuring out the puzzles, and the rooms are incredibly immersive; it feels like you are actually in the environment, like a haunted cabin or a wizards tower. We will absolutely be coming back!

The Game night escape was very exciting and so much fun! We took the kids and my youngest son was a little bit scared of the idea of the dragon. The gentleman running the room (Jason) was very kind and understanding with him. Jason made sure to include my son and gave him little clues off to the side like it was a secret so he felt like a very important party member. He even let my son and I go in the back and watch the rest of our party on the video monitor during the final part since he was scared. He really appreciated being able to watch everyone and cheer them on from a safe distance. Everyone had an absolute blast!!

This is such a fun place. All of the rooms are super detailed both with the puzzles and the visuals. Ive never had a bad experience here. Staff is super enthusiastic and really makes the experience more enjoyable

I went twice in one day I had such a GREAT TIME! I put together a team building event for our office in the afternoon where we split into two teams playing Calling All Villains & Revenge of The Cabin. We raced against each-other & of course against the clock for our rooms. The staff was extremely friendly (from the very first phone call throughout our time there) & very much in character which gave an extra bit of FUN! Later that night I brought my husband for date night only a few hours later, where we played The Wizards Curse! We cannot wait to go back with others & try out their other rooms! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was my first time and our group of eight had a blast! The website is easy to navigate, the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional, and they made the whole booking process very easy. Stellar customer service. The game itself was challenging and a lot of fun. We marveled at the complexity of the setup, it was all so creative. Cannot wait to do this again!

Our family really enjoyed escaping Revenge of the Cabin! C-U Adventures in Time & Space is a great place to do an escape room. The staff are friendly and fun and the games are well done with challenging puzzles and great themes! Thanks for another great night!!

I had a blast at CU Adventures. Completed the wizard curse room which is one of the easier escape rooms, although my group of four didnt finish with more than a minute to spare. Great time and fun gamemaster. Each room is an hour long. Will definitively return.

My group played all 5 games in one day and had an amazing time! Each game was unique in its puzzles and design but every moment was thrilling. This is one of my favorite escape rooms I have been to in over 170 games. The owners and all game masters we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The way the game masters are integrated into some of their newer games is clever and amusing. I cant reccomend this escape room enough!Edit: We returned to do more games! Still amazing!

We had so much fun here as a family! The room we did (wizards curse) was very well planned and laid out. There was something for everyone to do, and we all were able to participate. Highly recommend!

Tons of fun! My friends and I finished the haunted cabin story with like 6 minutes to spare. Staff is enthusiastic and helpful, set design is top notch and full of surprises, from the lighting to the props to the mechanisms. Dont want to give anything away; go see for yourself!

The challenges were perfect for our group, with its wide variety of experience level. The hints were tailored to our needs, the puzzles were fascinating and the final challenge was exciting!

A great place to take family and friends for a fun night out. The escape rooms are a blast and really get you thinking. If you love solving puzzles, riddles, figureing out lock combinations then this is something for you.

This was our family’s first time doing an escape room. My husband, 12 year old and 7 year old went for a fun Friday night. This place did not disappoint. We had a great time and both our kids were talking about doing birthday parties here before we left!! Thanks for the adventure!!

I did Revenge of the Cabin with my friends for my birthday this year. It was a ton of fun and very well-designed. It was the first escape room for most of us, and the staff did an amazing job keeping track of our progress and giving us just the right number of hints.

My group completed Revenge of the Cabin! Everyone had a great time The escape room had lots of puzzles and tasks to complete and we all stayed busy the entire time. It was truly a blast and speaking from the whole group we would definitely come back and do another!

Had an absolute BLAST doing the Revenge of the Cabin room with my boyfriend! The room was awesomely complex, superbly decorated, and just the right amount of creepy. There was a particular gimmick to this room that really showed me how this escape room is set apart from other escape rooms! Our gamemaster, Jess, did a perfect job of not giving us over-revealing hints while keeping well in-character. (I loved how she subtly & thoughtfully kept out heads cool too as we only had 2 minutes left on the clock!) It feels *great* walking out of an escape room knowing that you and your partner make a great team. ;) I seriously recommend this room & Im looking forward to coming back with friends or just my partner again LOL.

Phenomenal escape room experience. Our gamemaster (Drew) was professional and fun while explaining the rules. Very well built room with fun, interactive puzzles. 10/10 would recommend.

Did the Wizards Curse room. It was really fun and really detailed. Took a total team effort to do. Highly recommend!

This place is wonderful. They constantly are coming up with new and challenging escape rooms. Everytime we go we have a blast and the workers are truly wonderful and passionate. We just finished their new game, game night, and it was awesome! I love that it was a D&D theme.

Best escape room I have ever done. Puzzles were elaborate but solveable. Sets were well-crafted. Staff was very helpful and willing to warn the kids before a noise might startle them. I also appreciate that they dont force socially awkward folks like us to play with strangers as long as we have at least 4 in our party.

As soon as you walk in the are surprises. Everyone I went with had an amazing time. We did the game night room, and it was an absolute blast. Would recommend to everyone.

Ive done escape rooms before. This is no ordinary escape room, but a fully immersive experience with an immense amount of care taken as to ambiance. We took visiting family to CU Adventures, and loved our time trying to save the world so much (Revenge of the Cabin) we came back two days later to help save Christmas (Scrooges Christmas Trap). We cant recommend this enough!

The new location is great. The game was set up very well. We had an awesome time!

CU Adventures in Time and Space has amazing escape rooms. Great attention to detail. Not crazy hard where you get frustrated. Tons of fun!

Loved the overall escape room experience. We did the “Calling All Villains” experience. The room was extremely well thought out. Even though it felt a little long for so much to solve in that time but it went like a breeze. The people in the front desk were very informative and funny as well. Will come back again to try out the other rooms.

I own a restaurant and took all my employees here for a delayed Christmas party. I have done escape rooms before but this experience by far was the best one ever!!! The staff was so so nice and helpful and kind and the room was amazing!!! It was so well decorated with fun clues and hidden areas and it was just hard enough but not impossible. I LOVED it and will be back to try all the rooms! My team loved it too! If you want to do an escape room in this area, you should choose this place! Amazing!

I took my daughters (and friends) to the Villians escape room for their birthday. We had a great time! The host did a great job setting the mood andkeeping the action moving. Id highly recommend it.

We did Revenge of the Cabin (party of 2) and it was so much fun! Totally doable with just two people. We finished with a few minutes to spare. The room itself was insanely creative with such an awesome set-up. Every detail was thought out very well. Not extremely hard to where youre always stuck, but hard enough that you wouldnt get by without a couple hints. Well definitely be back to do some more rooms :)

Great adventure. Great for day off and a rainy day. Great for kids too

Absolutely the best escape rooms my partner and I have done (and we have done a lot across several cities). You can tell the crew here puts a ton of effort and thought into every room they do: from the challenging, but clear, puzzles, to the immersive environments, to the super cool tech they rig up in these rooms! Every time we go back they are one-upping themselves and we are always eager to get in for their next room. Not to mention their staff are incredible: not overly involved in guiding you through the room, great storytellers, and great customer service to boot. Urbana is so lucky to have Adventures in Time and Space right here!!!

Wow...Just...Wow...Amazing! It was our first time at CU Adventures in Time and Space...and Im already checking to see when we can come back! Our HS youth group took on Cabin in the Woods and it was so cool to see their leadership and unique personalities emerge as we worked as a team. I cannot believe how professional and well thought out the escape room was. When we entered our room we really were in another world!! Our kids had a blast and were asking to come back immediately!! Highly recommend A++ 5 Stars!!

Will definitely be going back. We had so much fun and the staff was great!

To celebrate my sons birthday, we gathered his friends and tried The Lost Temple. There were 7 boys (10 and 11 years old), and I joined the adventure as support because it was their first experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed! The briefing at the beginning was very helpful, and the frequency and amount of hints was just right. The boys really enjoyed the sound and visual effects! Excitement was high as they discovered new clues, while the puzzles got their brains thinking and they collaborated well. Everyone felt a sense of accomplishment as each new box was unlocked, but the most amazing part of the adventure is during the last few minutes, when the pressure is on to successfully finish... and they did! Thank you, CU Adventures, the boys had a BLAST!!

The game was really fun, the kids had a blast, and when one of the kids started getting scared the man running the game was super nice and very helpful in letting him step out to calm down. We will definitely come back for another game sometime

Went here with a group of co-workers and we all had a blast! Great experience! Will go back again!

We have been 3 times!!! The first 2 times we had awesome people that made the game alot of fun!! Great ideas and themes!! Tonight we came and was really offended and disappointed by Emma. They dont have changing tables so my daughter changed my granddaughter where she was told the last time and Emma came off disrespectful and offended we changed a baby. The clues she gave didnt seem helpful but frustrating until I was gonna just give up on the room. She did apologize at the end but by than the experience wasnt as great as the first 2 times!! We will be back but next time we will ask before we go if shes working and if she is we will just wait and try another day when shes not!! We would like to try the Christmas ine and the game one. Its alot of fun amd watching my kids work together is awesome!! Thanks to the owners for having this as something to do in the community!!

Weve done five or six of their escape rooms now and its always a blast. Friendly staff, challenging yet fun, escape rooms, and something different. It keeps us coming back!

We had an amazing time in the Revenge of the Cabin Escape Room today! None of our team members had ever experienced an Escape Room before so we have nothing to compare with this one. All we know is that it was a challenging and incredibly fun way to spend an afternoon. We successfully managed to dispel the evil spirits from the Cabin with very little time remaining on the clock. The detail and complexity of the setting and the puzzles was truly brilliant. The staff was very energetic, knowledgeable and helpful. We plan on trying one of the other rooms very soon.

Had a great time! Staff was friendly and made it a great experience!

Great experience. The sword and dragon room we did was a must for all fantasy fans. Delilah was awesome to work with and our group had an awesome time. Maybe overthinking at times, but it was a great afternoon with family and friends. Highly recommend if looking for something a little more off the wall than just the puzzle rooms. Having the quest was really cool.

This place is amazing! The rooms are elaborate and the level of detail is impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly and make the games so much fun (even when you need a little extra help when you get stuck). The puzzles are challenging but not so complicated that it feels “impossible” to solve. We’ve completed 2 rooms so far and plan to go back and play the other 4 in the near future. If they had 100 rooms, we would go back 100 times!

Love this place. The games here are top notch and the themes are great. Really love the atmosphere here.

Absolute blast. Really well done and involved game. Will definitelt be back to play other games in the future

My very first escape room experience was great! We ran through Calling All Heroes and it was a blast. Our guide had an awesome attitude and really got into character. Very fun! Well be trying another room out soon!

Excellent place! First time doing a escape room. We were paid with another 2 people because we did not have a group. But they limit the max people when youre not a solid group so its not two familiar people with a group of 6 and you feel lost. So that was great. Drastically fun and a enjoyable unique experience. Finished with 4 minutes left, challenging but very fun and rewarding. Will be back to try every room! Jess was out host and she was fantastic and into our story lines role.

This was our first time doing an escape room here and it was such an amazing experience from the moment we walked in the door. Jess was so friendly and funny as she explained the rules and set up the story that her enthusiasm was contagious! She ran the room so well for us and it was one of the coolest escape rooms aesthetically that we have ever done and we will definitely be back soon!

Some friends and I did the Artificial Intelligence room, and it was my first time doing an escape room. Great briefing at the beginning from Delilah that def kept me from destroying their carefully constructed sets. My mind boggles thinking about how much work went into creating the super elaborate setting full of puzzles. Well worth the price and time!

We have a great time every time we go! Inventive rooms that are always a challenge and fun!

Second time there and had an excellent time again on our challenge. Took out of town family and we all had a wonderful time. The employees are awesome and hilarious. Would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys challenges or puzzles.

This is going to be hard to beat! Our group did the Wizard and Cabin rooms and they were both incredible. The puzzles were challenging yet attainable, the rooms were completely immersive, and the attention to detail was at another level. Ive done a handful of escape rooms and none of them came close to this experience.

Great way to kill an hour! Fun for the whole family!

Awesome escape rooms. Orion was awesome for each of our rooms. Decided to do three in the same day and each were different, but all were a blast. Awesome staff, awesome rooms, awesome experience!

The employees are very kind and helped make the experience just so amazing for my friends and me. Definitely recommend this place.

Had a wonderful time with game master God-Jess! Our group did the Calling All Villains room and it was amazing! A great experience with flowing and intricately interwoven puzzles, 10/10 would recommend.

Had an awesome time. Our game master was great and made the whole experience immersive!

The staff was extremely friendly and professional the and the room itself (Sword of the Dragon) was very well thought out and put together. We had a blast and will definitely be back soon to do more. I couldn’t recommend it more.

What an absolutely world class experience! Orion was a fantastic game master, and the room (Wizards curse) was simply top notch! Cant wait to come back and try their other rooms! #teampandasandwich

Great family fun! Christmas room was great and the hints made it helpful.

I went with a handful of my friends to do the Wizard’s Curse room. We had an awesome time! The staff was great and it was by far the best escape room I’ve ever been to! Definitely would recommend.

I went with a small group of friends for my spouses birthday. The staff was very accommodating and let us have a private party. The pricing seemed fair. We did the Artificial Intelligence room and it was so much fun! Im glad to say that we finished it in time!

Great place to spend some time! The whole setup is very clean and professionally put together. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a lot of fun and cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be coming here again soon.

The room was lots of fun. Its very well run. The puzzles were good. You can make requests ahead of time for max hints. Its reasonably priced. We didnt feel rushed. Its interesting that you can hear noises coming from the rooms while in the waiting area but once you get into the room you cant hear any of the other rooms.

So extraordinarily fun for friends, family, and coworkers alike! Its a great bonding experience and an amazing way to get to know people better. I would very highly recommend it, I had an amazing time!

Was so much fun! Well put together and staff was very helpful when needed. Would recommend.

Wow! Took my daughter and her freinds for her Birthday. We did the cabin room, fantastic experience, staff was great, room was a blast!

This was our second experience with CU Adventures in Time and Space, and both have been fantastic. We find them far more in depth and interesting than other escape room options in town. Escape room is really a misnomer, as several of the adventures actually have more than one room in the adventure. Lots of clue hunting and key-finding and puzzles. So much fun.

Weve done all but 2 rooms so far and have had a consistently a fantastic experience! The staff is incredible and entertaining in their own right, the puzzles are creative and such a blast to solve. Everyone should try at least one of the rooms here to see just how fun escape rooms can be!

Loved the enthusiasm of our guide! Fun puzzles to solve with the help of the bird! The owner even loaned us jumper cables for our motorcycles dead battery!

Its very well put together. Plenty of explanations before you start if you want. Nice sized rooms. Hints are available if you ask. We were a group of 5 and it worked well. . We did the Dr radiation room. The clues are many and varied. Sorry love was good. Want to do another room now to see if it is as good.

I had a very fun time doing my first escape room. It was elaborate and engaging and my team was constantly working at something. Thomas was very fun and personable and made it all the more enjoyable. Great job CUAIT&S!

Hands down the best escape room I have ever been to. Very immersive. Very helpful staff. Very cool effects. Everything was superbly done.

My wife and I had a great experience here! Thank you for making our experience great Jess!

Very fun with good storylines. A good hour adventure to have with your friends

I had my first escape room experience here, and the bar will be set VERY high from now on. The Indiana Jones/H. P. Lovecraft style of the first room we did isnt usually my first choice of fiction, but the room was a blast! Very intricate, but accessible. When we came back for The Cabin, we were blown away. (and it turns out, they mean it when they say please dont move the furniture. whoops) This is a must-do for anyone in the area or anyone looking for a challenge.

Fun for the family or groups. Very accommodating and definitely entertaining.

This is the second time that we have visited Adventures in Time and Space for a company team building exercise. It is so much fun and it brings everyone together in order to solve the puzzle. Clues are available in a round-about way but they try to guide you to figuring out the answer to what you may be asking (which is good, I think). I would recommend Adventures in Time and Space and cant wait to see what the new rooms will entail.

Great storyline for the one I went through. Its not really an escape room because you can go in and out but its a storyline you have to put together and complete. The one I went through (no spoilers) you had to finish puzzles to unlock the next place and then do more puzzles to pull this sword out of a rock. It was really fun. You get 60 minutes to finish it. You can get as many hints as you want but you can make it challenging and make it none. At first you think it is simple puzzles but when it down to the last couple minutes you start to panic. You either complete it or dont. Last time I did it we completed it with 30 seconds left.

Really neat and well-done rooms run by a fun and enthusiastic staff. Good for beginners to seasoned veterans!

Very fun experience! One of the staff members, Jess, was extremely helpful and friendly. We did the wizard themed escape room, and the setting and clues were well thought out. I would recommend this place to others and plan to come back.

The BEST escape rooms Ive done and Ive done over two dozen of them in 6 states! FLY to get here if you have to! Before they retire the rooms!

A fun family experience. Even our 8 year old could be engaged in tasks and puzzles. Our game master was fantastic about timing and level of help. We will return for another challenge soon!

We went as a team building exercise for Prairie Dragon Paddlers, so we did the Sword of the Dragon! We had so much fun! The puzzles were great, the scenery well done, and Delilah was so helpful! We will definitely be back!

Freindly game masters who ensure the players have a good time. Recommend to all!
