Been around this area for 10yrs and shopped every gun store there is. The customer service, the knowledge or just a down home conversation is just what you are looking for at Macs! Always have a decent selection and can beat anybody around for a 100 square miles! May not be the cheapest around but long lasting Customer service you receive with it is worth every penny! The best part......they remember who you are!

Very poor service did not know what they were talking about every gun that I handled was very dirty and would not come off of price even though guns were broke will not ever visit here again. Worst gun shop ever

Just returned to Mac’s Gun Shop in Tyler, TX because a friend needed help with a gun question. I told him Mac’s Gun Shop is the best place to go for advice(Tyler & Surrounding Areas) recommendations or purchasing the correct gun for your purpose!Two years ago, I broke a gun and took it to Mac’s and it was a simple fix with nochange! So I bought a few boxes of ammunition to show my gratitude!Yesterday, I sought advice on how and where to get a particular type of gun! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there are many individuals that are scared and buying guns. The selection is very modest.The two guys working at Mac’s came up on a matter of minutes with a solution after after asking me a few questions! Their solution much less expensive than what I thought I wanted and their idea was better!Nothing is better than sound advice from experienced individuals “who care more about you than making money.” You won’t that kind of service/advice/solution at a big box store and at Mac’s they have the character and experience to back their advice. Try them! You will come away amazed and satisfied! I came away with a better, less expensive gun and it was exactly what I needed!

I have stopped by Macs a couple of times and have been very impressed with their store and staff. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Ive been looking for something specific both times I went in, and they took time to ask me what I was after and thoroughly explained things to me. They are not pushy and do not try to talk you into something close to what you want just to make a sale. I highly recommend Macs.

I havent been to the store yet but when I tried visiting their website I was disappointed to see that it was blocked by Norton security software. Hopefully that can get this problem fixed so customers can use their site safely.

Nice local gun shop located in downtown Tyler. They had .22 LR ammo in stock when I was there. Sometimes thats hard to find. Ive purchased some AR accessories from and sold a few guns to them. They do a good job.

Hand gun selection was slim long guns tons. But they do work with Davidsons gallery of guns (Google it if you dont know what that is) and you can order what ever you want. The best ting about this place is they have some classics and beauty guns (gold, chrome, pearl) that youd never see anywhere. So if youre trying to find a gift for that special someone that has everything and is a firearm fan this is the place to go.

I can’t say enough good things about Mac’s. They have helped me set up several rifles, sell and appraise others, and helped me purchase the suppressor that best suited my needs. They are a world of knowledge and I’m glad Tyler has a place like this.

I’m new to the Tyler area and needed a FFL transfer. I contacted Mac’s. I also went by the shop to check it out. Very impressed with the quality of service and atmosphere of the place. I will return and highly recommend this gun shop.

I called, looking for specific rounds and pricing. The phone rang but nobody answered. Instead of leaving a message I just hung up and would call later. Well, I didnt have to...before I could set my phone down I received a call back. Based on that alone...they gained a customer. The call back was more than unexpected for me...it was a glimpse of what kind of people ans company you are dealing with. They answered all my questions with info BEYOND what I was looking for. The pricing is better than anyone in town from the costs I was given. Customer service here is beyond anything you have, or will experience. Check them out!

Wow. Went in based on reviews- I knew nothing about guns so I just asked and told them my situation. They were so helpful it was incredible. Never would have felt so welcomed in a bigger store, even the customers were patient and helpful with me while I was in there. I made a purchase and will definitely be back whenever I need. The guys at Macs were extremely helpful when I needed a stuck round cleared from my pistol. I was a little weary of going to a gunsmith and being judged for such a rookie mistake but they were professional every step of the way and used it as an educational moment for me as a fairly new gun owner. Definitely will have a customer in me from now on and I am very thankful for their help!

Had their gunsmith install a pair of Trijicon HDs on my H&K USP Compact, sights were lined up and installed perfectly. The staff there is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service is rare nowdays, but they hit the mark. I can see why this place has been in business so long, cant recommend Macs enough.

These guys are very helpful. I stopped by after work looking for an AR15 crush washer. They couldnt find a new one but found a used one and just told me to give it a try and call them back if it didnt work. Got home, installed on my AR and it wasnt quite the best fit. Called them up 5 min before closing and they told me they would be receiving a shipment by the end of the week.Although theyre very helpful, sometimes you have to initiate the questions, but overall, they usually ask you if you need any help and will help you get your needs met

Most knowledgeable shop Ive ever been to. Been taking my business to Macs since 2008 and not once have I been disappointed.If youre looking to build a top-of-the-line rifle or just ask some questions in a friendly setting, look no further. And dont let the old-timey feel of Macs deter you, they can build you a custom AR with the latest and greatest or whatever else your heart desires.I wish I could give them 6 stars.

Bought an ar 15, a .22 and a hunting rifle from them. Theyre so helpful and made sure the gun we got matched with we wanted to use it for. Also bought scopes and they mounted them all. Great resource to learn how to use equipment. Fabulous place. Prices are good too.

Everyone that works there knows more about their product than you and I will ever know, and you can trust their advice. You can feel good about buying a product from someone who actually knows what they are talking about! Prices are competitive with the big stores and on-line retailers.
