Traveling through from Michigan. Wife and I played 18 with a cart. I honestly have not played on such a run down course in quite some time. Fairways in horrible condition. They were bare and unmanicured. Rough even worse. Mostly dirt or hard pan scrub grass. Would never play there again. Cart paths were un drivable.
Always a great staff! Rates are great and course is nice to play on. You can tell they are continuously make improvement to make out playing experience better! Every time we go out there, we always seem to notice something new!
Course was in great shape, fun to play. Only complaint fees, are higher than other local courses, course is easy to score good scores. I enjoy playing here occasionally. Its usually not crowded.
In the best shape it has been in ever. Greens rolling true.
Drove from the DFW Metroplex and was greeted by George who was very accommodating and helpful. The course was in really good shape with greens rolling nicely. Played with three other players and got around the course in just under 4 hours. Once again nice place with improvements in process. Thanks for Jeff Wood who greeted us after we finished and made us feel welcome again. Hope to play again sometime in the future.PS. Met with a friend from Shreveport so it was a nice meet in the middle for those who are looking for a mid point with players from Louisiana.
Nice greens and friendly staff. Layout is a difficult to navigate.
Other than needing a 4x4 around the course not bad over all.
Love the Course and the staff. Best public course in Tyler.
Great friendly staff. Greans are in great shape.
Not bad for the price.
Great well managed course! Check it out if you’re hanging out in Tyler while the wife is shopping
The course is very nice and well kept! I play this course when I am in the area for business. The staff is very friendly and the rates are a great value!
Course is in excellent condition
Nice grass.
Green are in excellent shape.
One of the best kept public courses in Tyler. It is well kept, and the staff is very friendly. Although it is slightly more expensive than some of the other courses in Tyler, I think the quality of the course is well worth the extra couple of dollars over some of the cheaper courses.
Bad attitudes by ownership and management. They treat their customers as if they dont want their business. Average greens and facilities. Well overpriced fees for the quality of the course. Go somewhere else, the Tyler area has much better to offer.
The best public course close to Tyler. They have tried to improve every year and its the best bang for your buck for the average golfer. Tyler still needs a great municipal course, but until then come here instead of similar more costly local courses.
Played my first high school tournament her. Have always enjoyed it.playing another tournament here today.
My brother-in-law and I arrive for a 10:20 tee time. We brought our own cart. We were told that we still had to pay the full price of $40 each, which includes a cart rental fee. I asked what the walking price was, and we were told $26.00. We paid the walking price and then proceeded to use our own cart. Management rode up to us at the 2nd tee and asked why we were using our own cart instead of walking. We said we would be happy to pay a trail fee, but we werent okay with paying for a full cart rental when we went to the trouble of brining our own cart. They told us it was $40.00 or leave, so we left. I moved to the area last week and I play golf twice per week. They could have made $52/week off of me plus a trail fee, but I will not be back.
Really enjoyed playing this course. Everything was well maintained
A .moderately long course. Wide open fairways, a few sand traps and water hazards. Reasonable green fees.
Beautiful Course with excellent scenery. Nice carts and whole course was in good shape. Well worth the $34 to play
Nice friendly personal. The greens are in good shape now they will stay that way until to much rain here in Tyler. It has better greens then most public Courses pretty Landscrapes. They try to keep it trim nicely most of the year its in good shape. But you have to get it in shape after they had heavy rainstorms this year. The greens roll really smooth nearly as well as Hollytree where I used to belong. They are the best in Tyler The golfers that dont play much played it at the worst time of the year so of course they dont realize that all the courses are bad at some times of the year. Hey its outside and this course being on the Northside of Tyler usually gets more rain then south Tyler the winds this year were bad also and they lost several trees and lots of limbs. They keep it as well as any course I have played I have played a lot of courses all over America and overseas also. This course does as well as I have seen.
Too bad there isnt a zero star option. This place should not be considered a golf course. It is a goat ranch. Worst course Ive ever played! Nobody was even there when i showed up! Greens are in terrible condition and fairways and teeboxes are really patchy. The only positive thing sbout this place was their water stands, but even those taste a little salty.
Worst golf course in east Texas by far. Management is terrible, rude, unfriendly, its like theyre mad at you for coming to play golf. Lost my ball in the FAIRWAY at least four times, greens are like putting on shag carpet, overgrown, etc. Tried to play through a group of two(I was by myself) and they ignored me and drove away when I asked to play through. Course needs to be shut down. Absolutely terrible all the way around.
Nice course, well cared for and good play, some holes are very challenging and others easy, they have made significant improvements and its nicer than everGreat course for the price!
Great course! Pace of play is a tad slow, though
The course is in great shape for December.
Great Greens!!
Greens are in perfect condition
Management in the past rude. They just dont seem to care. There is always some kind of drama at pine springs.
Great staff and fun to play
