The Great Outdoors

We stayed at the Yurt for a night away on the weekend in the middle of winter. An absolutely magical, serene stay with no other guests in the property. The pond was a stones throw away from our Yurt and frozen solid when we visited, but looked like a great swimming spot in the summer. Our accomodations were warm, cozy and clean. Helpful and attentive hosts made for a stress-free visit as well!

Such a beautiful, amazing place! We saw a look family every day, a deer strolling through, amazing turtles, birds and chipmunks. So clean and the staff was so very helpful.

The owner is super friendly, the place is well kept and a great place for the whe family. The tent site is awesome, the tent is set up with mattresses. There is a fireplace on a deck that is covered-I believe its called a lean-to?(the tent is also on this) as well as a large fireplace outside on the ground. The tent site includes a kayak and canoe. The lake is beautiful especially forth thing in the morning. I look forward to returning in the summer!

This place is a little piece of Heaven on Earth! Im a hotel kind of gal, but after staying here for a week, and being totally emersed In the tranquility and beauty of the amazing surroundings. Im a believer now in this kind of holiday! Gorgeous lake with all the toys! Mary, the owner is gracious in every way! Come on Western New Yorkers, check this place out! Convenient to the Ocean and the adorable little towns in Maine! God willing, we will be back for a longer stay!

Awesome place to vacation or have family reunions theu have cottages for rent a great bewch a large building to use as a function hall and it is very well maintained and clean

Not much I was looking for high prices. Clothing is sparse. Does anyone ever carry regular good quality sweat shirts anymore

Mary greets all her guest with open arms, the cabins are clean and the entire grounds are clean.The Great Outdoors is quiet and peaceful, its like being in heaven.To have your venue at The Great Outdoos is awesome. Mary goes out of her way to make sure your at home .

As a kids I went here with my family members and we stayed in a beautiful log cabin. I remember there was a trial that lead from the cabins to the pond that was near by. Had a great time there years ago and would totally return now that Im grown.I remember meeting a girl there. I think her name was Jessica and her grandfather own the great outdoors. That was a long time ago though.
