Paying for a 30minute class just to get kicked out at 5til and sometimes 8-10 til.... (i have timed every time we get kicked out) classes should be prorated then or give us our full 30minutes. And to be told to leave out the back door? ? This person needs to learn people skills if she’s going to do this (I’ve heard ALOT of parents under their breath make remarks about this). We will be canceling & moving to the Y.
Great group of people, my daughter is in level 1 and she loves it. Learning very quickly, I would definitely recommend them for swimming lessons.
Good experience when you send your kids thereBut today one of they teacher acting so rule to our kids when after the classThe way she lead us out of the door for pick the kids up at the back door is not professional at all ... we pay alots money for the lessonsAnd of course we are deserved the better way !!!Class from 4pm to 4:30 on Monday 8-24-2020I dont want to tell the teacher namePlease fix it as manager and the owner!!!!
Enrolled my 10 year old in swimming lessons for the first time. He is doing great and already improving after one week of lessons. So very pleased with their complete, easy to understand instructions around Covid precautions and safety measures!Highly recommended!
My daughter, now grandsons learning to swim at Miller. Awesome
We had Jackies 1st party and have been going since then. Donna is AMAZING with the kids and Jackie has learned so much. Her confidence in the water is a huge compliment to Miller. Great school and amazing instructors.
Our son (4.5 years old) has been taking swim lessons for about a year. He loves it!
Awesome place to be.Patient instructors and excellent facilities.
My niece and nephew went to miller’s for one class, and I’ll NEVER take them back. Gina Miller to be exact, and a few other instructors I’ve seen are to worried about how they represent theirselves, and not the school it’s self. We have switched to Safe Splash, and will never return to Millers.
Great swim school you can tell the instructors really care about the kids and go above and beyond. I love how it smelled like fresh baked cookies and they have a great retail store for youth swimmers all the way from beginners, recreational to swim team. Highly recommed!
My daughter has been taking lessons here since she was about 9 months old. Very clean, well trained staff, and my daughter loves the lessons. They seem to be able to work well with kids of all kinds. Disabilities, short attention spans, etc. My daughter does best with less in a class. Highly recommend Miller.
Great place for you young kids to learn to swim
Their teachers are excellent, very willing and able to meet kids where they are and get them proficient in swimming. I’ve sent my kids here for 2 years and love the progress they are making! This is time and money well spent, no regrets!
We have had our 6 year old daughter in swim lessons here for the past 3 months. This place is a well oiled machine. The classes are small. The instructors give me a clear idea of the progress of my kid. Communication is also clear. The lessons are not cheap. This wont be affordable for everyone, but the instruction is quality.
I have never been more impressed with the professionalism, integrity and absolute perfection of the entire Miller Swim School staff and family. They are saving lives every day and making it fun for the children along the way and I was honored to be part of an amazing weekend to learn from the best! Keep up the great work everyone!!! I booked a birthday party for our 5yo here. The office staff was disorganized. My party room/time was double booked, and rather than telling me, when I came to pay our deposit, they gave me a contract to sign that had a different room and a cost $65 higher than what I verified over the phone when I booked. I guess they thought I wouldnt read it, or maybe they thought I didnt care about the money and I would just pay the overage without complaint. I had to reschedule our daughters party which was very inconvenient. They werent very humble about the confusion, acted like it was no big deal. The party was fine. The lifeguards were good with the kids, and the kids had a lot of fun. That being said we wont be back to Miller Swim School for another party. Sloppy business.
Love this place have all 3 of my kids in it... And they are very good at what they do
Amber is absolutely wonderful with my 2-year-old daughter in the Starfish class. The new facility in Jenks is awesome! I feel like pricing is very fair for the amount of lessons that we get. I also love that both locations offer family swim times.
What an amazing place to watch children learn and grow, amazing and patient staff, very clean in and around the pool. Clean all over in general. Id give a 10 if I could!
We go for family swim on the weekends. Its a great place for when the weather is bad to keep kids entertained. I also did my sons birthday here. With all the extras, it was a good value.
I swam here back when i was a child nice to see its still going.
Very clean and well staffed...we went for the family swim..a great time that is very inexpensive.
Both our children are in the flippers class, the kids arent the biggest fans of the water, but the instructors are so patient, understanding, and encouraging. The kids get better every lesson and the class size is small so they get a lot individualized attention from the instructor. Hey it might seem pricey to some, but its worth every penny especially when so many toddlers drown every year. Teaching them the basics of floating will save any kids life so its an investment for your childs future.
First time here with my kids. But my wife tells me they have been doing great work with our kids for years. I am super impressed.
I have an infant and am currently enrolled in the Diaper Dolphins class and it is fun for both of us. He enjoys splashing around and his instructor is very thorough about teaching parents how to safely handle babies in the water. Just be careful. I can get a bit slippery.
Very nice and professional. Great with the children.
5 stars! 10 if the rating would go that high!Little girls bday party!Well worth the money!Keep up the good work!
Nice sized heated swimming pool. They have a little pool with salt water. We went there for a birthday party and their party rooms are great.
***Edited to add that I’d like you to remove my child’s name from your response. She is a minor and you do not have my permission to use her name in a public forum. ***The Jenks facility is clean and new. The people that work there are friendly. However. We signed our child up for a turbo lesson session of 8 lessons, and I thought she would have learned a lot more than she has. One class wasted 10 minutes of the 30 minute lesson just for pictures, a total waste of time. I understand they teach in progression according to their skill, but the instructor is treating my tall, almost six year old like a baby, she even held her like a baby, picking her up under the armpits and putting her on her hip in an area of the pool where she could easily touch and stand. (Weird.) I feel like they could strike a better balance between easing the kids’ nervousness and actively helping them progress their swimming skill. We have two lessons left in our session and I’d love to see my child have learned more than just how to sit on the side of the pool and float while being held for the money and time we spent on these lessons. There has been no visible progression in her skill. Disappointed, for sure.
My daughter just loves this place. Been taking swim classes here since she was about 6 months old.
Our kids are having a great time learning to swim!
These guys are great! There is a reason they have been in business here so long. The instructors are super good at coaching the young kids and making them feel safe so they can focus on learning. The facilities are great and their pro-shop is reasonably priced with high quality items.
My son is the beginning class and always has a great time, friendly instructors and office staff make for an overall amazing experience, would highly recommend!
This is the place to go to watch your child strive! The instructors are amazing and patient, the staff is wonderful and all in all it doesnt get any better than them!
We signed up our two children back in May for one of their two week sessions. Our oldest whose 3.5yr started lessons with a fear of being in the water without being held AND had to have a life vest on, she would not let you dump water on her head without a rag on her eyes. After two weeks she has so much confidence in the water that during our vacation at my parents she is jumping into the water from the edge, swimming about 6 feet coming up for breathes when needed, swimming around with only a noodle, and diving to the bottom (with some assistance) to grab rings. It’s like a whole new child. Even our youngest has developed a love for the water and confidence at only 15 months. He blows bubbles, kicks his feet when he wants to “swim”, puts his own face under water, and will go under to get rings while you’re holding him. I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress my children have made. They are going back for more lessons in July!
The childrens lessons for infants up through grade schooler is the event I experienced. Our 3 year old grand girl is one of 4 students served by a swim instructor. She is learning to swim; gaining confidence in the water; sharing instruction; learning patience and to hold a position (stay in place) while waiting to be next. I highly recommend. Children inspire one another as they observe new things...its a splashing 5.
Doesn’t deserves even one star. Very small and dinky facility. The pool is way too small for the amount of students there, and each dressing room has only two showers with curtains instead of doors. The business manager was rude with me in conversation, and they had one teacher to teach two different levels so they didn’t have to pay another instructor. They even kicked one of my kids out of the pool 10 minutes early because he was the only student in the class that day and they consider that a private lesson. Worst of all they are UNBELIEVABLY GREEDY here. They even charge you for the ribbon that shows you have competed the level, even though the lessons are very overpriced to begin with. Miller school is a waste of time and money. My suggestion is to use St.Francis Health Zone for beginners, and hire Health Zone’s private instructor for higher levels. You will save money and their lessons are longer.
Great Place For A Birthday Party
We enjoy the service. The instructors are friendly but stern with the parents about the lessons. I have great confidence and control with my child.Clean and well taken care of facility.Id give five stars, but it feels very crowded and over booked at times.
This place is amazing at teaching children to swim!! Highly recommended
Love love love!! My daughter loves miller!
My child has been attending Miller Swim School for most of her life. They are very welcoming and know how to make learning how to swim fun for children.
Great with the kids and my son is really making progress.
This is a wonderful place to take anyone to learn to swim. I say anyone because they teach babies and adults. They have been in the Tulsa area for over 50 years and still going strong.
We have been going for a little while now. We have maybe gone like 10 times and overall had a great experience. We are not enrolled but we like coming to family swim time. However today March the 16th we went and we showed up late and paid the $15 to swim, then after swimming till about 5:20ish the lifeguards started to tell everyone that because they have birthday parties that we had to leave at 5:30. When we first started going they said that this might happen, however I expected them to at least tell us that we would be loosing time today before I paid $15 to swim for an hour. But family swim time is from 4-6. But no one said anything before the life guards, so I paid full price for a third of the time.
Love this place
My kids loved the classes and really learned a lot. I would highly recommend this swim school to any parent who wants to feel better about their children being safe around the water.
This place is fantastic. They are THE BEST. They KNOW what they are doing. Word of Advice. LET THEM DO WHAT THEY KNOW HOW TO DO.Brought my children here and now I am bringing my grandchildren. They believe this is Serious Business and it is! EXTREMELY PLEASED!
LOVE Miller and every instructor my children have had.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is for how crammed the pool is. It concerns me from safety point of view if there was an emergency and everyone had to leave quickly there are too many kids in the pool and too many parents in the glass boxes watching. But all the teachers are amazing! very patient and so good with kids!! Our little guy puts his face in the water and floats on his back finally.
We love it here!! My kiddo has learned a lot and the Instructors are great!! Staff is very friendly!!
My grandkids go here love this place
My review has somehow been removed so I am posting it again. This place deserves zero stars. Three years ago, I enrolled my child for twice a week lessons. He is a very sensitive child w processing issues. I explained this multiple times. The instructors would constantly and aggressively yank his head back into the water. I would ask them not to do that repeatedly. Well, my son became freaked out about it and was never able to progess.....never. They couldnt care less about his processing issues, and just stated he had to learn to keep his head back. On the last day I took him there, he threw a temper tantrum, so I removed him from the pool and put him in a time out at the facility. When he calmed down, I went to talk to the manager, who in front of a large group of parents told me, you are an overbearing mom, hes not swimming bc you wont let him. I told her that Id take my son elsewhere. She then called my phone to continue berating my parenting. I told her where she could go. Well, one month later my friend opened his pool and I took my son 7 times over three weeks and he learned how to swim. BC I didnt yank his head back. He swims like a fish now with only my instruction. Also he just earned principles honor roll and is complimented all the time on how well behaved he is. So, lady.....you can stuff your opinion about my parenting, and clearly you dont care about listening to special needs that children have.
Wonderful swim instructors. Weve been coming since he was 6 months old. Signing up for classes are challenging because you have to keep calling up there for availability.Tip: use a small dressing room in the winter and crank up the hand dryer to change clothes.
I was disappointed. Had my daughter in the diaper dolphins. Class was very slow faith new after first what to do. Staff and teacher not very personal. In a hurry every time. Over priced for no more than you get with a 2 and half year old. I will wait until she is older.
Good instructors. Great customer service. Started taking the Adult swim class, felt I wasnt getting a lot out of it, so they worked with me to find something that was a good fit. Would definitely recommend.
My daughter just graduated here, it had been a long road but I am grateful for the the lessons, great school to learn how to swim. The instructors and staff are wonderful and courteous! Thank you all!!!!
Very engaging staff
Miller Swim School is an amazing place with a friendly staff. They really care about the people.
Great swim lessons!
Fun and engaging staff
Good place for baby swim lessons
We had a wonderful experience with swimming lessons for our grandsons this summer! Would highly recommend them!
Aerobics instructor, Donna, is amazing. Thanks Millers for all the TLC!
Amazing place doing amazing things!!!
I bring my grandsons to lessons. I really appreciate the efficient system they have for navigating kiddos thru the facility. The staff is very helpful & present. From what I can tell, the instructors are very patient & encouraging to the kids.
Really liked instructor..Hoping can get another excellent instructor for school year
If you thought smiling nonstop for 30 minutes while swimming was impossible, bring your kid here for a lesson. My son couldnt stop smiling while taking his lesson. Speaks volumes about the staff.
Great facilities and great staff! Been taking our baby since he was around 6 months old and he still loves it.
We had a lot of fun!
I went and it was so fun!
Classes are as small as 2 students per instructor, employees are cordial and knowledgeable
What it lacks in size, it makes up in quality. My daughter loved it there.
Large facility and good student to teacher ratio.
Birthday party at the swim school
Donna has taught our son since he was 18 months and he is now 3 and very confident and safe in and around the water. The entire staff exceeds all of my expectations.
My niece and I enjoy our lessons
My daughter started swim lessons in August 2016... she was a very reluctant swimmer...the swim instructors here are firm and consistent...and gave my child the confidence she needed to move forward as a swimmer... she now looks forward to swim classes!
Great instruction, place needs to be cleaned daily. Cleanliness is the only reason I didnt give them a 5.
My 2-year-old goes to swim lessons here and I cant say enough good things about this school! Instructors are great!
My daughters and nieces learned, enjoyed and improve her swimming there. Great place for all levels
Horrible customer service...unacceptable actually. Once I get the money back that Im owed, which they refuse to do, Ill never go to this facility. Horrible communication.
Exceptional care and instruction. They teach the art to skillful swimming.
Wonderful swim instructors and great facility. My family has been going to Miller for over 30 years.
We have attended a birthday party here and the kids had a great time.
Took our son here to learn how to swim at age 6. Went to Boy Scout camp at age 14 and won the Mile Swim Badge. I give this school credit.
So crowded and chaotic. They teach very slow and plotted out schedule to require you coming back forever.
If I could give this place no stars, I would. This place is absolutely rude and awful! We moved here about a year ago and thought wed get our toddler back into swim lessons. The first time we went in there, the person that showed us was rude, unenthusiastic, and could careless to help us. After not being able to find another swim school in the area, we decided maybe we should give it another try. After contacting the swim school a few times, I thought things would work out well, then they just stopped responding to me. Another family member stopped by to talk to them about getting my child signed up. The employee didnt look up from the computer until they were standing there for 10 mins. Finally, the employee looked up and asked what they were there for. When my family member responded that they were there to sign the child up for swim lessons, the employee looked at them and said, and whats your question? Im sorry, but no business should treat somebody like this. I understand they are a so called family business but thats not how you treat others. I will make sure to let everyone know about this awful experience and I would suggest not taking your kids their. They dont care at all.
Great swimming school..daughters 4 and 1 still going and love to learn there
Great staff. My son Luke loves Ms. Donna!
Great staff! Swimming lessons are the best and birthday parties are even better!!!!
Only place in town that teaches kids to swim correctly
My only complaint is the way they treat delivery drivers. Theyre always nice to Customers
I dont use the place went with a friend who picked up her daughter
The management is horrible and Ive witnessed very rude behavior towards the staff. Honestly breaks my heart, I dont even know the people but the management is very rude.
Miller swim school does a fantastic job of teaching kids to swim.
Does not like to pick up there phone. You just lost a customer!
