This is the best range I ever been to! Friendly staff. The instructor JR is the best of the best

I’ve been coming to Rankin Field since 2015 but attended a CCW Renewal class here this weekend. Sam was the class instructor and did a phenomenal job. He’s very knowledgeable on every aspect of firearms and the laws surrounding CCW. The range facility is very nice and there are tons of firing lanes to accommodate large groups. The shooting lanes are covered with fans, and you can set your targets out pretty far to challenge yourself. I’ve seen some of the 1 star reviews they have, and have to say that those have got to be isolated or exaggerated incidents, the vibe here is pretty cool.

Like this range a lot, but hit it up on a weekday not the weekend. Otherwise it’s like waiting in line at Disneyland.

I LOVE this range. The people are friendly and the range space is nice, you are not cramped into small lanes like indoor or the other range in Visalia.

Attended the Rifle Youth Program and boys absolutely loved it. Colleen the instructor was awesome, she w as very knowledgeable and full of energy.

I was a bit nervous since this was my first time at the range and I read some of the past bad reviews. My experience was awesome; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was presented with options and given a brief walk through of facilities. I felt welcomed and left with the desire to come back. Because of the staffs courtesy, instructions, and hospitality I became a member and have Invited my family to come out with me in the future.

Rankin Field is awsome and safe, the Manager Sam will help you with anything you need and his staff is the same. The range masters are strict and will call you out if they see you breaking the rules but there good at there jobs and keep everyone safe. 5 stars all day!

I have to bring my own gun??

The CCW class with Sam, Mario, and Colleen definitely exceeded my expectations. The 8 hours flew bye and all their instructions were extremely informative. I will be taking their class again when it’s time to renew

Myself and three others (who I dont know) pre-paid for and scheduled a CCW class. One guy was 3 minutes late and I walked in with two others who were 10 minutes late. The Instructor refused to teach the class because we were late. I bought and packed all the required items, had the day off work and had driven close to 40 miles only to be told the class is canceled because we were (a few minutes) late.Thinking about it on my drive back home; it is probably for the best. Obviously the Instructor was looking for excuses not to teach the Class. Who wants to be taught by someone who has lost their passion for teaching?This was my one and only experience with Ranklin Field. Therefore it is difficult to say this is indicative of their behavior. All I can say is my experience was poor, received a refund and am looking for another Class somewhere else.

What a neat wonderful place to go and learn and be safe thanks to Sam Colleen, Katie at the front desk the guys on the Range that were so helpful cannot say enough the class was amazing learned a lot went away with a lot to think about and the safety measures on the range were awesome. And thanks to the guys on the Range and Colleen who were always so helpful Sam was very serious and matter-of-fact and funny when he needed to be. I was the General Building Contractor who built the Range Office and Training Facility

This is a wonderful range to shoot at. I cant stress that enough. Ive been shooting there for 14 years now and its only gotten better and better every year. There are large fans and overhangs on the ranges and lots of experienced range safety officers to teach you how to shoot if you need help. They also provide Concealed Carry courses and events like pistol shooting matches, womens days, 4h etc.

Good pricing, fun, nice staff and knowledgeable instructors! Not only is this a clean and friendly environment but it’s also my favorite range to shoot at. Rankin all the way!!!

Theyve got 6 pistol bays that are 25-30 yards deep, including one with a variety of steel targets. There is also a 100 yard rifle range. On the weekends, they have a variety of USPSA and IDPA competitions. Every gun owner in the valley should know this place!

Let me just say wow. The ladys at the front desk were extremely rude and not helpful at all. One of the ladys got real sarcastic with me about paperwork and an older women was rolling her eyes when asking about ammo and making me feel real dumb gonna stick to my other range the whole front desk situation killed my entire day shooting there never again. But there were some nice safety range officers one was a guy and the other a girl they get 5 stars other than that never going back because of the front desk ladys.

It was my first time to use this facility, a male safety staff at the range was very professional & very helpful. However, the pretty young lady at the front desk was the opposite. Her attractiveness turned ugly. Her demeanor was offensive, she lacked communication skills. I got the impression that, she dont wanna be there and she didnt like her job and her customers. The management needs to hire positive people specially with dealings with the public ( with guns.)

Great place with many different memberships to choose from or just a day pass. Awsome place I havent met the mean grumpy ladies people mentioned on the other reviews.Very helpful and professional staff.

Rankin Field is beyond a doubt the nicest place to shoot in the Central valley. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the facility is beautiful. Monthly USPSA AND IDPA matches, CCW classes, anything you need!

My fiancé and I were looking for a range close to home, we came across the Rankin Field, read the reviews and figured it wouldnt hurt to try. The people in the front were wonderful and very helpful, we had read the reviews prior to our visit and were ready for rude employees... That was not the case! Both of the ladies in the front were nice, but they were not going to act like hostesses at dennys lol... They were very serious about the job and were very responsible which is what I would expect at a range. We love it here, it is normally lonely when we go. We have been here a few times already and we plan on getting a membership soon. I highly recommend it. :-)
