The seating was comfortable, start I interacted with were nice and the sound and screen were good but the place was filthy, the soda was flat and warm (I dont ever get ice) the popcorn was burnt, Ive never had bad popcorn at a theater this was a first. Aside from a pretty rude audience talking a lot, many ppl moved to other seats violating social distancing requirements. Seems like no management present to enforce quality standards. Probably wont return.
Clean theater, and lots of safety precautions setup to keep moviegoers safe
Its safe place for COVID-19
Easy to get up to theatre level. Easy ticket purchase. People to help with the machines if you are using a card. Our movie was in theatre 3. We got in early so lights were up. Seats stained and dirty looking. Easy for the theatre to hide in the dark.
Here is the thing, the surround system is really good! There is no denying that..BUT the seats are old and its all tight in there.. no recliners... and the screen looks old already..dimmed colors.. I really think they gotta upgrade the screen and seats for what they are charging.Until they do so it will continue to be my second option, overall century theaters in federal way are a lot better.
Clean, friendly people want to help you. Show you your theater. Popcorn hot n fresh. Get your own drink. I like to mix a few flavors together. You can do that at other places. Seats comfortable.
It was amazing. They had upgraded the seats in the theater so now theyre all like recliners. Much more room and privacy and the sound was awesome! Loved the whole experience except the concession prices.
While the theater was very nice and clean there was some kind of fire alarm or something during the movie and we were told we have to leave the theater. No one at any point said where we needed to go, when we could come back or anything about what was going on. The employees were out before the customers were and no one was explaining anything to us. While Im glad that it seemed all was On (we eventually wandered back in and were able to finish the movie) I was shocked at the lack of communication with the customers.
I love the $5.00 movie days but its recently gone up. The place is not as clean as it use to be in terms of bathrooms and the floors are always sticky in areas and we sat in spilled drinks of some sort. The new automatically snack stands are really a pain to use. But, I get why they are doing it. To save money.. I however perfer the one on one interaction.
A compact cinema but it’s filled with all sorts of goodies and is always nice and clean. The individual theaters are comfortable and the staff is friendly. A pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.
My son and I go here very often. Thinking of getting the A-list but 4 tickets per week would make more sense then 3. Will have an extra unused ticket every week...
We saw Little Women in theater #15 and to be honest, the seats were bad. We could see just fine and the screen we good - but the seats could not have been more.unconfortable. Two thumbs up for Little Women. Two thumbs down for AMC 16. The AMC Station in Kent had 6 way power recliners. They are amazing. Hope theres a remodel coming to Southcenter - otherwise I can just wait for movies like this to come to On Demand at home.
Good place needs a little bit of remodeling great place but there water in there water fountains are really warm. I looked at it and it was all steamy. I don’t want to drink hot water after some buttery popcorn please fix this.
Theater is super clean love going there but the popcorn, for as expense as is, is awful! They need to get a better type of popcorn. I understand the cost as way to offset the cost of doing business but couldnt you at least serve a better product! Everything else was worth it! #AMC #BETTER POPCORN
I always enjoy watching movies here. 4 stars cause they got these new kiosks to order your food and beverages. Service takes longer than it should.I prefer no droids. This is the way
Kiosk are the ABSOLUTE WORST! I’m and AMC stubs premier member and having been going to this theater for years now. My family and I go out to a movie at least 2x/month. Perks of the premier membership include $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays, upgrades on popcorn/drinks, and shorter lines. However, the replacement of AMC team members with KIOSK is complete bull. It completely takes away from the experience of buying tickets and concessions. Most of the time the kiosks have issues with scanning your AMC member card, or even completing the order. And once you get it to work you have to wait in a pick up line for your concessions that always gets confusing and congested. If you are lucky the person directing people to the available kiosks might step in a ring you up on one of the two actual registers they have left. I feel especially bad for the one singular person responsible for giving out all the waiting movie goers’ concession orders. This entire process is the most dreaded part of seeing a movie here that my family and I have started to see less movies. The only saving grace of this theater is the Dolby 9 Theater. It is they only way I want to watch movies nowadays. Very nice recliner seats, speakers and vibration built into the seats, and impeccable full color on the screen. I mean it is truly amazing. Seeing a the latest Star Wars movie here was truly a memorable and enjoyable experience. The standard stadium seating theaters here are still nice too.I this AMC could just get more staff to work the concessions stations and actually ring up orders like before it would go back to being one of my favorite theaters again.
My favorite movie thus far is 2020, Birds of Prey! Harley Quinn was so funny! Love this theater, make sure beforehand to have your AMC app installed to purchase everything electronically!
Its a fine theater. I come here maybe once every other month. Expensive snacks and popcorn, just like everywhere else. If you buy tickets online they charge a convinience fee, because you make it easier for them to not pay someone. Makes no sense but whatever. They are just trying to shill the AMC membership thing that waives the fees.
Since youre reading this, you should understand that three stars indicates I was not disappointed by my experience at the AMC 16. I came with my daughter and her family to see a special Fathom showing of Christmas Jars and the experience met our expectations. The theater was clean and the staff members we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. Had I been disappointed the rating would have been two or possibly one star. Exceeding my expectations, and pleasantly surprising me, would earn added stars. So, three stars is an Okay rating.
Pretty decent sound and screen quality, even in standard showings. Seats do not recline, though that is the new trend in movie theaters, to me that just means less people snoring and your legs dont fall asleep. With this many screens, the film you want to see is most likely showing. Ticketing is all self serve via kiosk, also.
Great friendly staff
The theater is pretty great and I love the experience of coming to see a movie here but the concessions are outrageously overpriced. Expect to pay more than $6 for a medium cup of coke. It’s best to bring your own snacks
Movie theater in the mall. Has some of the best formats available, IMAX, Dolby Cinema, but the mall can get crowded, parking can be a pain, and seats can fill up quickly. I recommend early bookings for reserved seats and the recliners when available for the movie you want to see.
Nice clean theatre. Sneak food from the food court in first. The sushi burrito place is nice.
I tried to go to the movies tonight to have a good time had to use a kiosk at the AMC Southcenter to get the tickets then we went in to go get the popcorn and soda had to use a kiosk again to get the popcorn and soda there is no help so basically there are no humans behind the counter helping you get the things that you need and I have the premium package and instead of standing in the premium line we had to stand in the regular line because theres no more premium so dont go to AMC Southcenter and go to the movies there unless you want to support people not having their jobs might as well stay home and watch Netflix
Nice theater. In the interest of reducing employee expenses, you pretty much have to purchase your own tickets and refreshments which is cumbersome. Once in the theater, it was comfortable.
Pump your own butter! -1 for not having recliners in every theater. Will still be back but will also be paying more attention to the seating arrangements.
I probably will never return to this theater our experience was very bad. First off the new machines they have to manually order your own snacks and drinks, are confusing and don’t allow you to order from the full menu they have up. Next they have so many different numbers on the tickets so we got confused on what number we were waiting to be called. Next staff were not friendly and were standing around doing nothing but talking to eat other. My husband and I over heard multiple conversations of staff complaining about it being busy and having to make the orders. We waited over 20min for our food which made us late for the first couple minutes of the movie, in which other people decided to sit in our sits and we weren’t in a position to make a scene in the middle of the theater. When staff did end up giving us our food it was cold. So we waited 20min for employees to stand around doing nothing while our food got cold before they decided to give it to us.Very disappointed with this experience, no one seemed like they gave a damn. Honestly how hard is it to just hand people their food and go to the next order. There where 6 employees wondering around doing nothing. This is honestly why I usually choose to sneak my own food in, instead of buy. This isn’t a full size kitchen, heck it’s not even considered fast food. Most of the items on the menu take 1min30sec to cook. Why did we have to wait 20min?
I really liked the automated ordering system. Very fast and easy to use but the theater itself wasnt anything special. Normal seats not reclining. I would come back in the future!
Line and holding area for getting snacks seems chaotic now. You wait in an organized line to order from a machine, then wait again in a cramped cluster for your items to be prepared. Ticket kiosk wouldnt work for us. We did get help from a person but had a to wait a bit. For us, all the added automation made the whole experience worse.
We enjoy the AMC Tuesday movie special pricing. Clean theatres. Great movie selections. Nice food court nearby.
A great place to go to see a movie. Im so grateful. Inside the Southcenter
Hard working staff that are being replaced by robots, and I guess people coming in to see movies without shoes or socks on? Clean the seats a bit better maybe?...
Good theater! Nice that its inside the mall. Lots of food options if you want to eat before or after the movie.
Really awesome theater. Super comfy recliner seats. Incredible sound system. Only negative thing to say is the sheer volume of the audio is rough for kids or adults with sound sensitivity.
Why cant you people upgrade your life? Why not just get reclining seats? To cheep?California has them.I honestly can not see how people give such a good rating if you dont even have the basics.
AMC Southcenter 16 continues to be one of my favorite movie theaters because of their customer service. When something goes awry they are extremely responsive in correcting any issues whether it is a bathroom in need of attention or an adjustment on the volume of a movie. They are nearly always busy which can make serving everyones needs a challenge and they continue to meet the challenge. Keep up the good work. And thank you!
I have been coming to this theater for over 10 years and I love the new upgrades they did to it.
Clean, spacious and comfortable theater to enjoy great hits. Join the membership for free online and they offer 5 bucks tickets every Tuesday!
I approached the young lady staff member 2-13 around 6:30pm. She was there to direct traffic in buying tickets. She said hi and i asked a question. Rather than answer my question she told me I need to say hi to her. She refused to help us. After explaining that customer service should not make rude remarks to customer she said talk to my manager then? I spoke to the manager but all he did was listen then walk away without doing anything! I have never been so insulted to be scolded by a girl half my age about how I need to address her?
Tuesday are the best!! $5 or $6 dollars for tickets all day!!$Always clean popcorns selection great! Have fun
Come here all the time but the new kiosk system is terrible for people who just want a quick popcorn and soda. Now we often have to wait a while to get the order in a sea of other orders.
I love going with my kids!!! Prices for food are crazy but its worth it
Very high quality movie theater, absolutely no issues, but its not gonna blow you away
Nice theater, good picture and sound quality! Im not a fan of the slow self-serve ticket kiosks or the confusing queue area. People skip the line to go to kiosks that are off to the side as they are not clearly next to the queue!
Love the Dolby Digital theater. With AMC A-List its amazing!
The movies are good and the seats are comfortable but the snacks ARE THE BEST.
I used to come here regularly with my husband for A-List. Theyre fine, nothing special. Weve gone here many.. many times. Never had that bad of an experience, restrooms were always fairly clean, no rowdy employees, and they seem to get stuff done. For a mall theatre, theyve got it down.
I like this movie theater. Polite staff, clean, comfy seats. Food court just next level which is convenient.
One of the only shmancy AMC reclining screens that actually recline fully with your legs up!
$$$ Bring your own snacks eat before movie. Nice people
I went inside the movie call of the Wild the movie was incredible and the scenery was beautiful
This is a very nice theater. Very clean and the staff us very helpful. The Dolby theater is one of a kind and the recliner chairs are very comfortable. This is one of the top notch theaters in Washington State at a very affordable price
The place was a disaster!! Everything is self serve with ZERO instructions on how to do it. If I want to do everything myself, then I don’t want to pay $60, yes, $60 for TWO people and a popcorn and soda. WTH?! The place was a mess. I have to say the employees were very friendly, but the patrons were not. Definitely NOT a place to bring your children. Gah!! I will never go there again
Seattle has so many nice, premium movie theaters. Is this the nicest? Hard to say. There are others that have more features. And there are others that are in more central areas, with other things to do nearby. But this is my go-to spot for movies. They have an IMAX screen, and several other big screens. Friendly service. Lots of free parking. And a decent food court downstairs. Their own concession stand is fairly normal. Overpriced, just like every other theatre, with a few surprises. Not as full of gourmet items as some other high end theatres, but thats not an issue for me personally. This is a good spot to see a movie. And its popular enough that you wont be watching alone. But since Seattle has so many theatres, getting a ticket isnt usually an issue.
The whole experience was pretty awesome and went to go see the movie parasite. Im used to ticket prices being $10 since Im from Yakima but $13 isnt bad for seattle prices. If you like ramen go to Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya to eat in the mall. THEY HAVE A 2 $10 TICKET LIMIT DEAL WITH AMC.
Nice multiplex but would be better to have someone selling tickets rather than machines
Those are Not recliner seats. They do not recline past 6s! Extreme disappointment. Good screen. Whatever. My hopes of comfort were squashed so who cares at that point. Ruined the mood. False advertisement. There are literally walls behind the seats preventing them from actually reclining. I went to a different one in Seattle that was legit and your seat can go horizontal. These literally dont go back At all. I dont ever want to go here again.
I love movies. This is one of my best theaters
Nice theater. More upscale feeling than you might expect for The Southend.
Excellent place to hang out. Theater is well maintained. iMax though not the original one like Boeing PSC, is still great. Always got tickets even if we hadnt booked online unless it was some very high profile movie on release week.Finding parking close might be difficult during weekend evenings.
Nice place. Only some rooms have full recliner seats. (I dont count the rockers as full recliners)
A cozy, comfortable venue to enjoy your movie pleasure.
A great movie experience. Left my sweater in the seat returned an hour later and it was waiting for me in customer services. Thanks to the staff for that little extra.
First time. Enjoyed it. It can get quite hot in the the warmer months tho. But October is on us tho... Cheers!
Half of the ticket machine was broke. Only one kid was there trying to help everybody. it was a terrible experience. on a brighter note the movie Harriet was outstanding.
We went to go see the new Star wars movie in IMAX 3D at this theater. The movie was about the only thing I can praise about this place though, and thats not a credit to the theater. Its not really the employees fault that we werent thrilled with things, but the fact that everything is automated unless youre paying with cash. You barely interact with actual human beings. We had an issue where my husbands AMC rewards card wasnt working with his email address and he called over a worker who started to talk to us before the people next to us just interrupted to ask him for help while we were there ones talking to him first. Then we went to get concessions and they had cute stuffed animals and popfigures out for purchase before you hit another machine to order your concessions. None of these items had prices on them, nor could you add them on in any way at the machine as far as we could tell. We tried to flag someone down to find out the price for one and that too so long we decided to find out after the movie instead. The tickets cost like $19 each and the seats in the theater were old outdated style seats, they have better ones in cheaper theaters. We wound up buying a little stuffed Groot for our daughter after the movie because we couldnt figure out how to buy it before the movie and it took like 5 minutes to get one of the workers attention to even buy it because they werent paying attention. Overall, we enjoyed the movie but not most of the rest of the experience at this theater. Computers replacing people just mucks up the works, in my opinion.
Even without recliner seats, still a great AMC since its one of the three in the area with Dolby Cinema as of end of 2019. Plus tons of great food options within the mall.
This is the best Cinemas in the area for selection of titles and formats but severely lacks in other areas. The seats are always dirty, the floor is always sticky and the theaters are in dire need of renovation like Kent station.
The place to visit to watch latest and best movies. It has the Dolby, IMAX and IMAX 3D screens. Decent food counter and facilities.
Great movie theater. Big place. Lots of food and movies to pick from. The seats are so comfy that i fell asleep. Lol.
Really nice place, well kept. Went here with my family to see Detective Pikachu before we got divorced. The movie wasnt great, but thats shouldnt be reflected upon the theaters score.
Great place to get to see a New Movie, also near the Food Court if you show up early.
Always clean, all the current movies. They are introducing movies in Spanish, I hope they start introducing at least a few of the Art and Foreign Films as well, perhaps once a week for Film lovers, today I watched a movie made in collaboration between Mexico and the United States. Their matinee is $6.20. A variety of food at their concession although I dont consume Theater food because Im on a strict Health Food Diet. More of these places should cater to people like me who are Health Conscious, perhaps some bags of Organic Dried Fruits and Nuts. Very comfortable seats and pleasant staff.
AMC replaced their concession stand workers with kiosks that everyone is now forced to use. They’re slow machines with a purposefully confusing menu system appeared designed to make your purchase as expensive as possible. The whole process of getting snacks is slow and painful now.
Loved it. Not to many people. Very enjoyable.
Very immersive screen and sound, really adds to every movie you watch there.
The screen and sound was amazing! The seats need some love! I Love the drink machine outside the counter.
Seats are comfortable. Watched Jumanji 2. Lots of laughs.
Nice theater, comfortable seating. Loved the IMAX theater!
One star and thats being polite! Their set up now is all automated and barely anyone there physically! Their new system is NOT user friendly...from buying your ticket to getting your snacks. It makes me want to not ever go to an AMC theater ever again...EVER. Horrible and frustrating experience
I have no complaints. Its a functional theater.
Very nice and clean theater. The sound system is great. The staff are pretty chill and helpful as well.
Great place to catch a spontaneous movie at south center. The theatre is usually busy, unless you go early in the day or during the week. That being said, the customer service can at times leave a bit to be desired and I really wish the seats would be renovated like other AMC theatres (and competitors). Quite surprising it hasnt yet actually, since its such a popular spot. All in all, its a convenient place to go catch a movie, though I personally go for theatres near by with reserved leather reclinable seating if its viable.
Love this theater. Busy but the staff is nice and helpful
Nice theater. Popcorn and soda prices like most theaters are waaaaay overpriced.
Good place for a movie, but, they really need to put in recliners. Just about every other theater have them anymore. Sorry being disabled it is nice to get my feet up when sitting for an hour and a half to three hours.
Very nice and updated. Priced nicely and clean
Its good service and like what else can you ask for broski
Nice place but the concessioner young lady sure needs a lesson in customer service and courtesy.
