If I had a skate board, or was young enough to learn, this is the place I would want to go!
I have seen many ages having fun here. Even some older kids helping younger ones. There also a Pokemon Go! gym and stop near.
A great (free) public skate park in Southeast Tucson (Rita ranch)! Well designed all concrete terrain elements, large 3/4 bowl, ramps, rails, steps, moguls and more!! Excellent for the intermediate and advanced skater! This can be a surprisingly engaging spectator sport, the local talent is truly amazing.
Great skate park for the kids. Scooter and skate boards welcomed.
Pretty cool skate park. Would be nice if there was shading.
Nice and Clean. Safe and The Ideal Spot for events
Nice spot to walk around. Theres a swimming pool and a skate park, so fun for everyone.
Its a good park but alot of cracks when skater open up, but still a great park for beginners and advanced skates, bikers, scooter, and roller blades.
We were there for a birthday party. We had Ramada 1. There is power available. Restrooms are close by. The playgrounds toys are fairly new and a little different than is typical. Plenty of room for a jumping castle as well.
Nice family park, first time there for a Birthday party and I would do it there again.
Great space, kind of secluded so it isnt super crowded, good features for average skate. Parking lot is very hard to turn into and features a steep slant that may damage low riding vehicles, had to lose a star for that. Also the entrance to the skate park is a 3 foot gap in the chain link fence with a pole in the middle, so only very thin people can enter the park, and still have to squeeze through. Kind of ghetto and exclusionary if you ask me, not to mention sketchy. Also could do with more shade trees to rest under.
Need for stuff but everyone chill af
The bathrooms are pretty far from the skate park so its harder to get there. But other than that is really fun and youll have fun
Fun little park. And they just patched all the cracks and holes.
Community pool party was great. Pizza Eegees and cookies for kids and relaxation for parents
Well made park with a usually great crowd
Super cool! Fenced in and clean and well kept. Its in an excellent area, right next to a fire station. This is part of a whole park with baseball fields, a pool, walking paths, play sets and picnick tables. Be sure to bring your own food.
As a skate park it was great for our son to enjoy his scooter. I gave this 2 stars because of the atmosphere. There are a few rules which are typical of any park. No smoking. No alcohol. No bicycles. (Most skateparks will allow bike riders at certain times.) So what was the issue? People smoking and vaping. People drinking alcohol. People smoking marijuana in the parking lot. Several bicycles in the park. They installed a small entrance to keep bicycles out but the riders were easily able to get their bikes through the gate.If they could get these issues fixed we will bring our son back.
With one shading spot an a grass space for lounging as well, it is cozy small . Kidd friendly with a couple race lanes, a great experience over all.
This is my local skate park. Ive been skating here since it opened in the early 2000s. Has nice park that surrounds the skate park.
I think its one if the best designed parks Tucson has. Skate park, ball parks, dog parks, playgrounds and my grandfather who passed helped to have it built. RIP Jack E. Ayers. Im a street or 2 away and visit the bench with your name. Gone, but never forgotten.
Great park for fun events attended a b day party there n skated
Nice
An intermediate skatepark. 5 ft deep bowl with a roll in, 4ft ramps, 2ft quarters and mainly a street course. The smoothness of the ground I rated at a 4; a little rough, not ice smooth, and a few cement cracks throughout the park. Some design flaws; there are some crazy transitions, lack of speed bumps and no flow to the entire park. However, for a 1st year learner, this is a good park to hone your skills/tricks or dropping into the 2ft section.
Absolutely the best Skate Park in Tucson! I try to go as often as possible but its just so far. If there was a park just like this in mid town, Id be there almost every day!
Love the new skate board bench honoring Daltin Vazis!
Nice playgrounds, bike & walking paved trails. Bathroom facilities & picnic tables.
Awesome at Daltins #$k84life!!!
Nice little skate park. Good location, RIGHT next to the Fire Station! :)
I have never utilized the skate park, but they have good walking paths, sports facilities, and playground equipment for the kids. I have never seen the swimming pool open. Its clean and a nice park.
Cool park, nice lines, not for total beginners. Issues with bikes and scooters. Nice park though, transitions are smooth and multiple heights. No flat ground areas.
Soccer practice every week. We love playing on the jungle gym afterwards. Great park!
All bowls with a couple ledges, what more can a concrete Carver look for !!! 3 bowls total, huge one in the back with a roll in ! Intense ! But fun !
Its a cool place to take your family to relax
The walls are short, so really good for beginners or learning new vert tricks. Large holes in the middle of the bowl need to be watched for or you can badly hurt yourself. Coping on some of the fun boxes need to be replaced but still grindable. I like it here.
It was fun and clean. Nice playground for the kids.
Nice park. Good area. There was a lot of litter in the skate part. Other than that it was great.
Best skate this side of Phoenix plus the Kids look out for each other. (Shock to me because when I started out the kids were unkind) i have been skating 18 years and not found more fun in such a small park for free.
This park has tons of great stuff. They are constantly changing the toys. A huge dog park, a pool, lot s of tables for picnics, & a great skate park
Its a very nice park and its very clean
We didnt partake but it looked great
Nice skate park. Great park on a whole Purple Heart
Awesome for aggresive inline
Purple Heart Park is one of our favorite places to take our kiddos and dogs. They have a great dog park
Very nice, family friendly park near the skate park & fire department!
This place is good and all but they dont all bikes which really sucks and need to
Pokemon GO is lots of fun here also is a nice park, I walk there with my family all the time
My son enjoys the facility but it needs some work.
Its a skate park. Smells like pot and teenage frustration.
Awesome place
If youre a skater, or your kids are, this seems to be a brightly lit, clean skate park.
Another awesome skate park.
Nice area and people. Very friendly.
360s on my hoverboard...BAM ..that just happened!
Great little park for families, Pokemon go friendly, multiple fields for sports.
Ant problem. Could use more trashcans. Big gatherings = very limited parking
Open, free, friendly, and a great place to get fresh air n be in nature
Great park for baseball
Very clean and well-maintained.
Clean and plenty of play structures. A big park with lots of different activity spaces
Super fun!

Really fun place to ride
Great park, something to do for everyone.
Too many bikers when there not supposed to be there
Transitions are inconsistent very amateur ramp building. All ledges lead into the dirt
