An unique place!!! You can see a lot of aircrafts from all round the world (specially american and soviets aircrafts). The hangar just for the B-17 is impressive, as well as the B-29!!! Take some water for the outside walk through the aircrafts, tends to be hot. My recommendation is to complete first the hangars tours, and finally do the walking tour. Any aircraft located in the hangars are very well preserve, and in mint condition.

A very nice place to visit. We visited during covid and missed out on a lot of things but paid the same price for admission. I think that maybe prices should be lowered when all of the interactive displays are shut down. Please be aware that it is a lot of walking! The name air and space is tricky due to the fact that they only had one plane from nasa. The space building was not open yet. It does not tell you on the map that the building is not open so you walk all the way over there to find out it is not open from a little sign on the door. They have lots of bathroom locations. The signs on the planes outside should have more information. They only had the type of plane. To actually understand what you are looking at you would have to be an airplane person. I wouldn’t recommend taking kids due to all the interactions being shut down, they will get bored fast.

Writing this in a review since its not on Google nor on their website, but they will turn off all the lights, lock up the hangars, and shuttle people out 30 minutes before the posted closing time. Make sure you are completely done 30 minutes before the posted closing time since the actual museum part closes then, and only the gift shop is open til the actual closing time

Amazing place to visit if youre a fan of air and space crafts and a little bit of war history as well. We were visiting family in Tuscon and decided to make a day out of it and even then didnt get to see everything they had. My son, a WWII fanatic, was entranced and asked us to go back the next day.If you plan on visiting, I recommend getting an early start, wear comfortable walking shoes and plan to spend a good portion of your day there. Their volunteers are very nice, knowledgeable and welcome your questions. So I had 3 girls come visit Arizona during covid-19 and one of our stops was the air and space museum. So first off all entry and exit is through the gift shop and it has some awesome AC. The main indoor facility has quite a bit of aircrafts but one area I wanted to point out was the women in aviation displays on your first right next to the mock ATC section. They loved seeing the stories from different women in aviation and it was a nice inclusion with everything else being military aircraft. Seeing women flying them made It more of a connection where they to can be fighter pilots and stuff like that.Outside you have multiple aircraft that you can walk right up to and touch and see every detail. There is also a flying fortress section which is really nice and detailed.Lots of history and lots of planes. The girls loved it and want to be pilots now and it is just so cute. Cant wait to come back for a future visit.

Weather you step back in time to see what the brave men and women flew in the second world war, the spy plane of the cold war era or the planes of today that carry hundreds of people theres something for everyone. Multiple buildings house these planes so you can get up close and personal to experience and see just how it was for our armed forces so many years ago. And you can see some of the planes of today and marvel at just how far technology has advanced the airplane and air travel of today. In addition to the buildings there are outside displays and if you take the tram around the grounds your driver will explain everything you see. Definitely a must do on your visit. Make sure you bring your camera or phone to take pictures of these giants of the sky. If you get hungry on your visit the cafeteria style food is better than expected with dozens of drinks to choose from and the friendly staff is ever helpful and a pleasure to deal with.Depending on what time of the year you visit I suggest you get there early to beat the heat of the day. The grounds are huge and I dont anyone can see everything in just one day. If you want a tour of the airplane graveyard you need to make reservations ten days before you go, this is a security issue and its strictly adhered to. You tour in a air-conditioned tour bus with a guide to tell you about it and too answer any questions you have. Its definitely worth making reservations to see it.The museum has something for everyone in the family to see and do.
