Shocked at how we were treated trying to make a reservation. They wouldnt even consider us because our RV is a 99 (picture of our RV attached to this comment). They wouldnt even let us send them a picture to show them the condition of our RV. People always compliment our motorhome and think its new. Its been stored indoors almost its whole life. This RV has never been rejected from a park before. We even explained I am a travel nurse trying to work in Portland. In this stressful year when it has been difficult finding jobs, this campground made it even more stressful. Most places make exceptions for first responders and medical staff. Not a priority here I guess. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I will definitely be telling my fellow RV travel nurses to avoid this place
Its an urban rv park, no doubt about that. Campers are parked close to each other. Some have small strips of grass between mostly concrete. That being said, my check in packet was ready and waiting for me. The park is edging a small river, a bird sanctuary and a wetland. Its very neat and clean. I would definitely stay again when we come to visit the granddaughter.
We were evacuated from our home due to the fires in Clackamas County. And our stay there really felt like home. The office staff was so amazing and helpful! They made sure we would have a space to call home for as long as we needed. They communicated with me every step of the way. The bathrooms were clean, the spots were perfect size and easy to get in to and our time there was peaceful and quiet. We had no extra added stress and we really wished we didn’t have to leave! I can’t begin to express how grateful we were for Roamers Rest. It’s an amazing place to stay
The park was lovely, great for an urban location. Really nice people, the grounds are well tended and attractive. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 star was that the bathrooms were not always clean, especially with COVID it was concerning but we brought our own cleaning supplies to make sure it was disinfected before using. Overall lovely spot, nice and easy.
Very small RV spots with more concrete than anything else. You get about 6 feet in between you and the other persons camper. Only one row of people get the river view, and even then you are not allowed to swim in the river, only kayak or raft. Not many trees, or grass. The people manning the place seem nice and friendly. Very clean and well maintained property. There are bathroom facilities including showers, laundry facilities, drink and snack machines, and youre close enough to Portland to go visit the city if you want to. They are dog friendly (with some breed restrictions). So there are pros and cons for sure.
Easy access from 99W on way to the coast. Had a vintage camper and used a pull thru on a reservation. Excellent restrooms and showers. No problem arriving after hours. Worth the price/cost.
These guys were awesome and very accommodating, let us extend our stay multiple times due to my wifes wallet getting stolen. Nice place right by the river and very clean.
Great place quiet, laundry facilities are not the best but the clean facilities an d the overall experience make up for not having updated laundry machines.
We stayed here from Feb to June 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Not only are the grounds beautiful and very well kept, but the staff was extremely responsive and friendly during the uncertainty we experienced with Cov-ID during this time. I would highly recommend this for anyone passing through or wanting to stay for a while. They have the best rates and nicest facilities around.
Extremely well maintained grounds, Laundry, and restrooms. Lovely site on the River. Quiet and restful place to stay in winter and spring. On a bus line and great exercise to the bus that goes in to Tigard and Portland. We will be back!
Just wanted to say a quick thank you for being so kind and understanding when we had to cancel at the last minute today due to the wildfires burning through western OR. You had every right to charge us for a late cancellation and we appreciate so much that all you said was stay where you are and be safe. Well book again soon :-)
We were so fortunate to have found this place. We stayed longer than planned due to the stay at home guidelines and we couldnt have been in a better place. Ownership and staff are outstanding. Great service, bathrooms are impeccably kept, the grounds are beautiful bordering the river with trails nearby. Highly recommend!Luis and Haydee Chiles
Not very user friendly. Restricted rental opportunities. Our 15 year old 5th wheel is too old.
We were fortunate to grab a spot right before the July 4 holiday. Roamers Rest is very well maintained and super clean. Parking was very easy - we needed a large pull thru for our 36 motor home towing a car. Even though the address says it is on Pacific Highway, the park sits well below the highway, blocked by trees, and boarders the Tualatin River. It was super quiet! We WILL be back!
Overpriced but Clean and friendly. Their website is all false advertisement. There were no amenities offered except bathroom, showers, laundry. No river access (to Poop River). It is just a cement parking lot full of RVs. No fire or bbqs allowed, nothing to do but buy pot a couple blocks down. P.s. it is on POOP RIVER. Literal POOP. RIVER.
Nice location south of Portland. Not much in the way of open space on the property, but all the amenities were as described.
I spoke to staff of the park while in the decision making process of moving to Western Oregon. They were very patient and understanding. We needed a space for 60 to 90 days. The long term rental agent worked quickly to aprove our stay for 2 months with an option for an additional month. The facility is kept clean and all the staff are friendly. We found our permanent housing so we did not need the 3rd month. They totally understood. A big Thank You for working with my bride and I during this transition. You guys kept it smooth and simple.Thank youJerry & Sharon Trujillo #35
Clean, great views, staff very helpful, they helped us with same day reservations.
Called for details... Female on phone was AMAZINGLY Rude!Normally I would not write a review based on that, but WOW.She took RUDE to the next level.I promise you they will not get a second chance.
Great staff. Clean grounds and amenities. Beautiful river.
Nice level sites. Paved all through the park. Laundry facilities and showers. Nice grass areas for dogs. Park is kept clean and well maintained. Staff are helpful.
Fabulous facilities, great staff, beautiful setting!
Clean and nice top notch.
This is a great RV park right in the middle of Tigard which makes it very convenient for restaurants and yet you still have a sense of being in a peaceful setting on the banks of the tualatin river. The facilities are very clean. There are 2 laundry rooms with new washers/dryers and restrooms and showers.
Incredibly high rates if your trailer isnt new enough for them.Kinda messed up they charge more for people who cant afford better but its a nice location
Small place, suggest make reservations. Nice and clean. Close to shopping. We reserved for 2 nights but ended up with 3. Third night we needed to move. It was simple. I would stay here again.
Very friendly staff and nice people and dog family is welcome clean bathrooms and beautifuly manicured grounds.
Stayed a couple weeks here while visiting family. Nice staff, clean (very), peaceful. Enjoyed it!
Stayed for almost two months, sites are a bit tight but everything is very well kept and you are surrounded by a positive environment. The location in great, not right there in town, noise level are outstanding, and people are respectful. If I return to Tigard, this would be the place I would choose again. The maintenance man is awesome. Works his tail off to keep the place beautiful.
Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff! Some of the parking spots have been upgraded
Spaces are big enough to handle most rigs (ours is 33 feet). Not generous, but they work. Very nice staff, and knowledgeable. My folks spent their first honeymoon night here, when it was all cabins, in 1949. Rigs must not be over 10 years old. Clean grounds, exceptionally nice. Decent wifi, but streaming is not encouraged, so as to not overtax the system.
Great place, great location!
Good for an overnight stop if youre going thru the area. Nothing to do here but stay inside your RV. No pool or anything. Well, they have washer and dryer. Space is so tight you specifically if you have a big rig. Your neighbors sewer connection is right up your front door, so it stinks when you open your main door. The people here are the ones that got 3 stars for making an effort to accept us in an immediate need for a spot and trying get us extension.
Nice park very clean.
Clean park and nice staff but be aware of the rate charges. When I made the reservation I received a conformation with the daily rate and total for three days. When we got there nothing was said about a rate increase and when ask I said to email the receipt. Lesson learned, when I saw the credit card charge and emailed receipt it was almost $15 higher than the conformation. Make sure you know what you are paying.
This place is the closest thing you can get to the perfect oasis in town...Quiet, serene, clean and well maintained. Conveniently located on the Tualatin River. The residents are not only amazing, welcoming and kind (even wave at each) but also HOT. I would live there!!
Clean and comfortable place to stay. Love the bathrooms
Wonderful grounds! Right on the Tualatin River, lots of birds! Laundry facilities always kept clean! And the staff is top notch!! Awesome customer service and super friendly!
Clean, quiet and peaceful. Dog friendly and near the Tualatin river with trail access.
Nice park, informative staff. Unfortunately not a fit for our situation.
This RV park is very nice. Its well maintained and clean. Laundry and shower facilities are always kept cleaned. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the area. Would recommend to all travelers. This park is pet friendly as long as your dog is well behaved and you clean up after them like any park. Not sure why all the bad reviews. The office was nothing but helpful and accomadating.
Stayed a few nights. Very clean park, with good sized spots and nice green area to walk along the river. We will come back.
Roamers rest is a great camp ground. We stay here any time we are in the area.
Wide spots. Level.
We had a problem with the Wi-Fi and the 60 site was tight but the staff was great for us. Good for our 1 night stay. Only RV park close to Hillsboro that we could find.
Great place
Very clean, friendly easy check in. Good place just to park and take in the sights around town.
The WiFi is trash and the staff doesn’t even greet you. They just want your money and then want you to leave .
Well kept and clean RV park. Beautiful setting along the river. Our 2nd time staying.
Just arrived. Very friendly staff.
For being urban, this place is pretty quiet and the trees and river are nice. Most spots are filled with full timers, but it doesn’t have a trailer park look or feel. Clean bath and shower area, lots of hot water! Overall we’d stay again, but don’t expect a friendly warm campground experience - this is all business. Treat it like a hotel to explore Portland - most destinations were about 20 minutes away.
Nice place, nice owner! Roamers Rest hits a good compromise between the parking lot you tend to find in City RV parks and the natural sprawl of public parks - plenty of grass interspersed between sites and surrounded by wooded areas. Just be careful at the entrance - theres a hefty hill going down into the large pull through area.
Great RV park in Tulatin area. Steep entrance, but well kept park, and clean services.
Rules. Lots of rules. Sites really close together, our steps were inches away from the neighbors sewer drain. No place to sit outside your rig. Not dog friendly. Rules and more rules. Leaf blower ALL day long. Lots of rules. Not a pleasant place to stay. I do not recommend.
After staying here for a few months Id have to change my review a tad.....oh wait no I wouldnt!! This is the best place hands down in the Portland area. The owner and staff are the best and we will miss this place so much. The only negative thing I have to say is I so wish we didnt have to leave we would have stayed longer.Such an incredible place to call home while visiting the area. Super convenient location near almost anything you could need, and very good size sites to boot. The staff is not only friendly but the cleanliness and beauty shows the dedication they take each day. Will definitely stay here again.
Clean, quiet place to stay. We are staying here for a couple months. Friendly, helpful staff at the desk. We will definitely stay here again.Update: We stayed here 2 months and loved it! Quiet, friendly campers and the restroom/laundry room are very clean. The staff is friendly and very herlpful.
Very pleased with our stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The site was a bit on the small side, but for a city RV park, not terrible and very quiet. Clean and close to local stores and restaurants.
Before you book here ask yourself this question: what is longer, a 39 ft piece of licorice or a 39 ft trailer? If you answered that they are the same length....read on. We booked a reservation here as part of our yearly camping trip with our family for the Fourth of July and we were disappointed to have had to deal with the woman behind the counter at this resort. When we booked in advance, we had notified the woman that our trailer was 39ft plus a dually truck pulling it. When we pulled up the woman nearly lost her mind about how you will never fit that in here, the person who booked this should have known there was a flat deck attached, we have no space for something that long etc. What she had convinced herself of was that although our trailer length is in fact 39ft, our living space is only 26ft. The extended deck threw her for a loop. So, on the Fourth of July during supper time, we had to panic and book another site at another resort because she was convinced we wouldnt fit and wouldnt let us in. We had to use our phone and ask her for names of places because she DID NOT offer to help in anyway. The woman definitely should not be doing that job.Oh and we did NOT have a problem with the people at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort and booking the proper site. Check in was fast and very helpful. The site was clean and easy to access.Bottom line. Do NOT bring anything longer than 29ft here or the blonde at the counter will lose her mind with confusion.
Great place to stay our NW vacation. Off to MT, WY, ID, WA and back to Oregon. This place has great private bathrooms and laundry facility.
Nice setting next to the Tualitin River. They were breaking in a newun but they straightened out the resulting issue in the morning.
Nice clean park, but spaces are super small.
So, we showed up around 8 PM after a long day of driving. We have a converted Sienna mini van with a full size mattress in the back along with a little stove and kitchen area in the back. Basically a tiny motor home. This RV Park was actually the second one we tried to go to because the last one was closed and inaccessible after hours. We drove an extra 25 miles to get to this RV Park. Needless to say, we were done searching for a place to stay. We hopped out to drop off payment before parking and going to bed..to find a sign that said “no tenting” and “no sleeping in vehicles”. Which wasn’t posted on their website. There were plenty of open spaces, none of which we could apparently use since our camping vehicle doesn’t look like a camper. We were not going to risk getting woken up at 5 AM just to be told to leave after we already paid $51 to park and sleep. So we had to sit there for an hour to google search for another place within reasonable driving distance. Ended up at a hotel.
A good place to stop and relax.
Ill start with the positive. Office staff are helpful & location is very convenient for exploring the area. We stayed here for four months as my husband was contracting in the area. We had four neighbors come and go during our stay. Every one of them was pleasant and easy to get along with. Two of the four we became friends with. The last neighbor to move in was a crotchety old grump who park ed his motorhome so close to our car he couldnt even open his slide all the way. When I knocked on his door to ask if there was a reason he had to park so close (and possibly find a middle ground/solution) he got very uppity about us being over the line and how hes been here for four years(he just pulled in!). Everyone who comes to this park should be aware that this park is NOT built for modern rigs. The spots are tight and that is generous. That being said all the campers before this guy were fine with our parking. One man who parked in the same spot before this guy even apologized for parking so close to us! So I guess just beware of spot 57 & the old man who lives in the motorhome. Also, lawn maintenance tends to cut the grass and leave the clippings all over your concrete pad.
By far the cleanest, best maintained campground I have ever seen. Very nice gardens everywhere. I also really enjoyed the wonderful scent in the office and laundry room. Took the most wonderful shower of my month-long trip in the spacious, private bathroom/ shower suite. The owner is funny and nice. She seems to have a great personality yet clearly runs a tight ship.Only one con- no amenities or activities for kids, however based on the beautiful grounds and the nice suburban location, this is probably done on purpose! Im thinking that this park just caters more to retired older couples and professionals versus families.
Very Nice!! Close to everything shopping anywhere you need to go
Stayed last Christmas. A great place. Saw ducks, geese, heard the river, love the trees. It feels like being in the forest :-D And the lady in the office was very friendly and so nice.
Used contact form to inquire availability, no response after 2 days. Then called. My call was answered by one of the rudest women I ever talked to in life. She constantly saying not able to understand me and asked if I can find anyone else to call for me to finish the reservation. Mind you, I told her I am traveling alone. Where the hell to find others to call for you. And I have managed so many domestic and global suppliers at work for so many years. Never had a problem. I told her frankly she is just racist. This is not a white state where you have never met any Asian or non Caucasians. If you want to be treat rudely, pick this place. She constantly claim cannot hear what you said, cannot understand you... And probably my writing is illegible as well, therefore no response by writing using contact form as well. If you find my words here are legible and you understand this is just plain English. Then you know whom is the one has issue. Many one star review saying they were treated rudely. I guess I see why now. I told her I will take my business and money elsewhere. As a customer, at least should be treated with basic respect. That lady needs a serious training in customer service or just manner rehab. I will not spend my money there. Sorry.
I only know them as being their Computer Technician and they are wonderful to work for so I can only anticipate they run their RV Park in an excellent manner too.
Made a last minute trip over the 4th of July and they were able to accommodate our camper and our friends and facilities were great. Definitely recommend.
The gorge is absolutely beautiful and amazing. However, the folks who run the amphitheater are terrible, possibly one of the most poorly run situations. Security lines were terribly long, parking was disorganized and bathrooms (port a potties) were insufficient for the amount of people. In fact more people were peeing along the fence then there were potties! Beautiful and horribly run
Great place to set down for awhile
The spaces are so small, no outside activity, but you probably dont want to sit by your camper. The sewer smell is awful. Writing a review is difficult, but do not stay here.
Nice little RV resort with tight sites
Very narrow lots and kinda picky about having furniture out. Fronts on the Tualatin River & highway 99. Closest launch is across the highway.
Clean rv park with very good and clean restrooms. The sites are okay but without any tables and not much space for your own. The atmosphere is OK too and the employees were kind. All in all a positive experience.
I stayed there for 6 months. Loved it! The staff was friendly and professional. The location is wonderful and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this RV park.
As far as RV parks go, this one was pretty good. The shower and bathroom facilities were well maintained and were very much appreciated (especially after a straight-shot trip from Chicago.)The complimentary WiFi was of decent quality, but the location and views did leave a lot to be desired. As I said though, this is an RV park, so I’m not going to be comparing it in the same way I’d compare high-end hotels.
I didn’t mean to review I was just checking for availability and i accidentally tapped the stars. So sorry!
Nice place, I only stayed one night but would go back based on my experience. Clean
Beautiful park. As I read through all of the negative reviews I couldnt help but think Im glad those people didnt stay. Basically the rules are to keep the people out you wouldnt want to be next to. No aggressive breeds of dogs and no old nasty RVs is what keeps the park nice. To me thats a plus, not a negative. Ive been in parks that didnt have those rules, and would never stay again. The woman who ran the desk was very nice and the park was immaculate. Beautiful landscaped grounds with flowers everywhere and the laundry/shower/restroom facilities were super clean. The only negatives are the hill you have to stop on while registering and you cant turn left toward town when you exit the park. You have to go right and make a left at the stoplight (no u-turns). Then you have to make another left and go a couple of blocks through a residential area to get back on the highway toward town. If you have a GPS it will guide you through. Its not too bad but a little inconvenient.Im definitely staying again. Its the best park in the area.
Located in a great place for we wanted to beWifi not great but quiet in the pull thus down below.
Very clean and nice accommodations
The initial impression upon check in was nice; they were courteous and accommodating. After a couple days it seemed every other day I received complaints about how i parked, having anything on the ground near my motor home (in this case, it was a hose under the rear of my RV and not visible unless in my space), had a guest that used the restroom and I was actually charged me for it, and their biggest complaint was I didnt pay my weekly rent by noon (even though they knew I worked and couldnt be there by then and had to pay after work). They clearly dont want anyone with an RV older than 10 years staying for any length of time as I got evicted from there for that very reason. It is a fairly convenient location and keep clean, however you can only exit westbound onto HWY 99 and have to make a U-turn about a mile down the road. If you like rules and regulations where its their way or the hi-way then this is the place for you, oh but only if you have a 10 year old or newer RV!
Awesome experience.
We enjoyed our stay at Roamers RV Park last year, and just made reservations to stay there on our trip this year. Always helpful and cordial.Sometimes wonder if a negative review isnt a problem with the writer rather than the RV Park.
Peaceful setting and clean.
Great customer service, clean park, facilities etc!!! Location is great. We cant say enough about this park. Very positive experience
Awesome place to stay by the tualatin River
We stayed here for 2 days in July 2015. The lady at the front desk was super nice from the very beginning and gave us a lot of information about how to get to Portland and what to see. There is a bus stop right next to the RV Park, and the bus takes you directly to Downtown Portland. The showers were clean, the site was very nice and quiet. We didnt use the laundry room. Unfortunately the wifi didnt work the whole time.If you want to visit Portland, this is a great place to stay.
Most of the parking areas are in full sun. Stores are not close by. No access to the river. Found other places with better amenities at the same price.
We travel for work and stay in RV parks all year long. I have to say that this is one of the best RV park that we have stayed at, we never know how long we have to stay, Denise has been very accommodating with our needs, this is a very quiet, clean park, I will definitely stay here again, The owner Denise has been Awesome. Thank you
