Nice, clean, quiet, respectable little park, but sadly, the museum is still closed. I used to come here in the mornings to do a little writing, when I was living in my car at the Walmart. The one little table near the building, under a shade tree. Rarely saw anyone else, so it was the perfect place to do a bit of work.Former cav scout. Nice to see places like this in small towns.

Loved the walk through. Great monuments. Only thing was the American Flags needs to be replaced and the New Mexico needs to be a little lower than the American Flag.

This is one of the best Veterans Memorials in the country. From the air, it looks like its layed out like the Medal of Honor.Beautiful miniature Vietnam memorial wall. Inside has a large, well preserved and documented collection of memorabilia from various eras.

This museum is 10 times better than youd expect from a small town. You can tell that an incredible amount of time and attention has been invested in the displays. You could spend an hour and get a lot out of it, or honestly you could spend an entire day looking at everything.

I am a former Army Airborne trooper. Of course this place has tremendous significance to me. My grandfather fought in WWII including Normandy and the battle of the bulge. He survived the war and rarely talked about the experience. This place brings back bitter sweet memories. I am humbled by the great sacrifice of these men and women who gave their lives for me and many others. The saying All gave some, some gave all frequently brings a tear to my eye. I am very glad to have served and I teach my kids about these great men and women who did indeed give all. I salute you. Ill see you soon enough but Ill continue sharing about your sacrifice and about the sacrifice of the most high on the cross. Thank you Jesus for these and thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.

We visited after the museum was just closed, however the grounds were beautiful and thoughtfully done. Theres a small version of the Vietnam Memorial. Theres a star shaped walkway with plaques describing the history of each war beginning from the Civil War. Its well kept and peaceful and we hope to go into the museum next time around.

When you travel to Truth or Consequences in New Mexico, stop by the Veterans Memorial Park. It is more of a memorial than a park, though. The place is a beautiful. You can get a good walk around the area while enjoying the view of the mountains in the background. The main attraction is the trail with tablets along the way that describe each of the 14 wars in the U.S. history.
