My kids really like going to the theater. This place had very nice seating and was clean. I really hope they survive the pandemic

Really nice theatre, great selection of first run movies, not a lot of chatter during the movie like I sometomes experience in other theatres. They also have good seating, nice facilities, plenty of snacks, fair prices. friendly staff with very good customer service. I like the matinee, senior citizen and student prices. I also have an MJR card and the rewards add up quickly. Im sure that I will be here more often.

Movies are not the same. Covid rules change the experience. It was nice seeing something on the big screen. Very few people there just not same.

Ive been a resident of Troy for years and MJR was a perfect addition to the Troy/Clawson area. My children and I visit this theatre often and enjoy the matinee specials. Student discounts are also available with proper ID. This location always offers new releases that were interested in and the theatres are newer and usually clean.MJR offers a rewards program so its nice to receive discounted prices on concessions from time to time. The prices are competitive in comparison to nearby theatres. The staff is friendly and service is good. Patrons are generally respectful and quiet during the movie. I would recommend this location.

Paramount Pictures and MJR Troy were AWESOME letting Tributesville bring Capt. Fantastic-Detroit to the private screening of Rocketman. Fans had a great time snapping photos with Ron Foss before and after the show.

Awesome theatre this is exactly what we needed here in this area. Just wish theyd sell cinnamon and sugar pretzels or cinnamon rolls would be awesome. I wanted to give 5 stars however Ive had issues with an employee that works at the ticket sales. Thats made coming very uncomfortable for me and my family. Management should definitely do a better job at training there staff to be polite and respectful to all customers. If an employee is unable to be proper maybe they shouldnt be in a position to have direct contact with customers.

Clean movie theater, good selection of movies and times. The only reason I doc this theater a star is due to the seats being the older style, non reclining seats. Also, the seats are first come first serve. I have become accustomed to reserving my seats online and having reclining seats. Besides that, good theater, top notch theater chicken tenders and fries. Friendly staff members and good deal on refills for popcorn and soda pop.

Helpful staff. The young man at the counter got me sorted out with an updated rewards card.Only knock I have is the comfort of the seating. This theater is too new to have missed the mark on certain features of quality stadium theater seating.Overall experience was very good. I would visit again.

I just love this place! Its always nice and clean. Much different than some of the AMC theatres. I love the fact that MJR dont have reserve seating. This is my favorite theatre!

Went here for an early showing of BOP. It was a great experience, ran smoothly and enjoyed the movie. Thanks for hosting. Im sure they are good on regular days also.

Press preview showing of Dark Phoenix for review purposes. Theater is about as good as they come these days. The film was a steaming pile of dung. But the theater is absolutely fine, as previously mentioned, but there are advantages to having a press pass. Ill have to attend a show as a regular moviegoer to truly give an accurate review though, so consider the five star rating to be provisional. Ill update my rating when I go for own enjoyment.

Add reclining seats and youve got yourself an incredible theater. I really love this place, though. So clean and the atmosphere is great.

When I went to the movie theater the area was largely understaffed. It couldve possible been the date that I went. The seats are quite stiff on the neck but the food and movie service are fine and staff were friendly and helpful. I would go again

Very clean. Attended a weekend matinee over the holidays and no long lines at the concession stand. Didnt use the restrooms, so cant comment on cleanliness, etc. Overall, a great family outing.

Normally we go to emagine royal oak but they didn’t have what we wanted so we tried mjr- it was a really nice theater - good snacks and comfy seats

MJR is always well run.Buy tickets ahead of time and use your phone to avoid lines, and make sure you’re in.I do get Popcorn about every 3rd or 4th trip.I like popcorn.

Quick lines, wait time really short. Great seating, wherever you want to sit. NO seating chart ️, like kindergarten class. Peaceful, and enjoyable. Watch your flick in peace.

Concession areas arent ever the cleanest. Staff have never been welcoming with smiles or upbeat attitudes. Convenient location and the $5 Tuesdays are a good deal.

Saw birds of prey on the Epic great theater! I go to it all the time. Its my favorite.

Good prices, clean but seats will leave you thinking youve flown over the Atlantic in economy class. Sound is horrible too. So not that great value for what you give up.

Great theater! Seats are super comfy! Matinee prices are awesome!snacks and beverages are just as expensive as anywhere else. Staffed by the usual array of teenagers and disaffected college students, but they all do their job. Big screens great sounds, Ive got nothing negative to say.

This is a great theater thats less than 5 years old. Comfortable reclining seats Great Sound and all the theaters. One of the best parts? $5 Tuesday all movies are $5 and free popcorn with 1 refill!! Staff is always great. And if you dont feel like standing in line you can use the kiosks to get your tickets. Oh yes you need to be in MJR member to get the free popcorn oh, but you also accumulate points and can earn free movie tickets.

I really appreciate the MJR Troy. The theater is clean, the staff is pleasant, parking is free & easy, &, &, this is very important-the MJR hasnt fallen into the absurd insistence on forcing patrons to purchase specific seats when he/she buys a ticket. I have two movie clubs which meet at the theater & havIng to select a seat in advance makes it very difficult for a group. It also makes it difficult when I attend alone. I want to know who is sitting near me-are they noisy, are they texting, etc. Bravo MJR!

Not bad, get discounts if you ask and bring student ID! They dont tell you that or even put it as a ticket price. 5 stars if they did

Im stuck between a 3 and 4 star. Parking was extremely convenient. There was no lines for tickets or to the concessions. The prices on the concessions were fairly cheap. My biggest complaint would be the up keep of the seats and the theater. They were sticky and dirty. Other than that the staff was extremely friendly.

Love the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly. The theater is always clean upon walking in. Seats are comfy too and lots of leg room. :). Also, when you purchase your tickets online you just walk right up to the ticket person. :)

Unpleasant, ubfriendly ticket and greeting personel. Asked but not allowed to sign up for rewards card until after I purchased tickets so I got no points. Greeter looked me up and down, then rolled his eyes at me. Got the impression I was not welcome, wanted at this theater. Havent seen a smile yet and its early afternoon. I will watch my movie as I already purchased tickets. Dont worry wont be returning. I can be treated shabbily anywhere! Shame on MJR!!!

Al the hall Screens are good and error free.. Friendly and very courteous staff. Food options are suitable for customers of all ages. It is most important to greet customers with a smile and that is what you get to see here. Great sound quality and seat comfort. We watched Captain Marvel last month and were surprised that the sound was of very high quality. The theater was well maintained and clean. We saw the staff clean the hall immediately after the movie ended and got it ready for the next show

We enjoyed ourselves. After visiting another theater later, I found the seats could be more comfortable.

The MJR Troy is a newer theater showing first run movies. It is pleasent, clean, and well run. They do not offer reserved seating.

This theater used to be nice. Its gotten really dirty and gross. Dried soda all over our entire rows floor. Bathroom very dirty and smelly.

It was a great place to enjoy a movie. Friendly staff, great theatre seating, reward specials on Tuesdays. We loved it. Back next week.

Always clean. Like to get the kids tray that comes with popcorn, drink and gummy bears. Pop and popcorn both come with a refill, so plenty for me at a decent price.

Good theatre. Has 16 screens. Not overly expensive and a friendly staff. Not as nice as some of the other places with recliners. But overall a great movie experience

Close to our neighborhood conveniently located. recently renovated but ready for another clean up. Friendly staff and weekday day time tickets are cheaper . Only one big theatre room and others are reasonably small. Sound systems are just ok and nothing exceptional . Restaurant is just ok and could have been good with some beer and wings Fun to watch movies with friends and families .

Pretty dated feeling theater. Seats just ok. Carpet seemed with, and the place was built in 2014 I think. Lots and lots of commercials before the movie, I sure prefer watching movie previews rather than tons of commercials.

I loved, loved, loved my first experience at this particular MJR, but my true love for this theater is the regular rocking seats instead of the recliners that so many of the MJRS have now. Those recliners arent made for plus size people like myself. You sit in them, and because of how sensitive the button is. just your leg rubbing against it they instantly start to recline even if youre not trying to do it. So I enjoyed a day at the movies rocking when I wanted to instead of reclining when I didnt want to. I will visit this location on my next movie day/night out. Oh and the staff was very nice, and helpful too.

We use to go to this movie theater all the time. It was nice only thing that I can really say is. The young man that was going us our popcorn kept eating on his nails. This was not cool at all. I really didnt want to take my popcorn from him but I did and I just wasted the top part in the trash. Other than that the people were nice and we enjoyed ourselves.

What a nice surprise on Tuesday. 5 dollar movies and free popcorn with an MJR sign up card. Whoopi

Great place. Just wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner. Other than that, the staff was pleasant and there were no issues. The food is up to par with other traditional movie theatres.

Really fun!! The staff were really nice, and helped us! I also like how they give you free refills on pop/drinks/popcorn/slushies. They also have comfortable seating and recliner seats! They even have a Epic screen. Its a huge screen with all surround speakers, only costs $2.00 more to see the movie in it! They also have 3D movies!!

The theater itself is great. The staff is very courteous. The theater is clean. Nathan helped us at the concession stand and he did a great job. The only problem I had at the theater was people talking during the entire movie.

Great experience. As you walk in the theater is so open, nice and very clean. The employees are very helpful. Went to see The Equalizer and the seats were amazing. I didnt miss the recliner seats from other theaters. However what made this visit above and beyond amazing was the fact that at the end of the movie I noticed a mentally disabled man sitting by himself. We left the theater but I didnt feel comfortable leaving him there alone so I went to the hostess and asked if someone comes to get him and she said that the manager was on his way to get him.We went back to the theater and waited with him, talked a bit about the movie until the manager came in to walk him to his wheelchair that was charging in the hallway.That really touched me. To see this employee go above what his technical duties are was something i havent seen in a very long time.I will be returning.

As customary for modern theater venues, MJR is comparable to the best. The multiple theaters are easily accessible with very comfortable seating. Restrooms are centrally located. Food service caters to the usual customer demands. Parking is easy and can handle large crowds.

This is the movie theater Is the best in the area! In comparison to the theaters with 15 miles this one offers comfortable seating, fair ticket prices, and decent popcorn. In regards to quality and experience I have zero complaints. The one thing I will say that is bummer sometimes is the parking, but there’s really not much they can do about that unfortunately.

Only theater we go to. Love the Papa Smurf drinks. Bartender is awesome. Thank you brother lol. Kids love the kid box and refills. Thanks for the viewing pleasures.

Decent but definitely not as nice as other MJRs, such as the Southgate location. However, the popcorn is much better for some odd reason at this location...

MJR is great. Place is always really clean. Seats are comfortable. I am from out of state and wasnt familiar with the brand. They have a catchy tune that everyone claps along with.

I have to say I’m a little unimpressed. This theater is about 5 years old but built in the era of high fidelity sound, dynamic websites, ultra HD and comfort. All of which this theater lacks.I will say it’s an average updates theater from the 90s. They don’t have reclining chairs or decent comfort and you can’t reserve a seat via online/app ticket ordering!I did go today and have to say I did like the $5.50 morning price!

There for a Screening of 21 Bridges. Great movie!! A must see

Theater was clean so it would have been a five, but the service at the concession stand dropped it to a three. Cleanliness would have earned five, concession would have gotten one. I ordered the pretzel bites. I was told they were making fresh and it would only be a couple of minutes. There were a couple of movies starting at the same time one of which we were seeing. I had ten minutes. I was okay with a couple of minutes wait even five minutes. But the cashier that took my order kept looking at me, walking away, coming back looking at me, waited on a couple of people and looked at me a couple more times, I was two feet from the order line in the same spot the entire time. He seriously forgot my order and what I was waiting for. Finally he actually acknowledged I was standing there and asked did I need something else? I said yes. I would like the pretzel bites I ordered and paid for. He went back asked for them was handed them and gave them to me. It was now 12 minutes after I ordered and my movie was already starting. I got to my seat and the pretzel bites were not even warm. I order them every time we go and they are always warm and the hot cheese dip was thick. We are a MJR rewards member always go to this theater but will reconsider going there.

A good place for family to go see a movie.

The movie theater has comfortable seats, which you can lift the arm rests up and have some extra room. There are ample food options, and they have a great ICEE machine.

My husband and I had the whole theater to ourselves! Was a little pricey compared to other theaters. Popcorn was a little bit smaller, etc, but service was great. Very friendly.

Need recliners and assigned seating to earn the fifth star. Countless arguments with family to decide on theater and so many times we just won’t see a show that night due to fact there’s no recliner seat purchase options even if time works best for all

We went to see The Best of Enemies sponsored by Faithtalk 1500 tonight. It was my first time at a MJR Troy theater and it was a delightful experience. Its a very nice, clean, wholesome theater with a very nice refreshment stand, clean auditoriums, and from what I experienced nice patrons.

Most of the good screenings happen at this theater. Theyve learned to handle it pretty well. Its always clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing like winning free tickets to see a movie before its released nationwide to the public!

Its our favorite.... Tuesday is $5 movie nightWe have several theaters closer but we always go to this one.
