Huge thank you to Phil for being THE BEST!! The glass work session was the perfect way to start off my birthday celebration and I wouldn’t have replaced it with any other experience! The owner of the shop thoroughly demonstrated every step and guided us through each step of the process. The reality is, if this is your first time messing with glass, you’re going to have no clue how to handle it. So, it was super useful having a simple task like making a colored stirring stick to step into the session smoothly. After warming up, we made a pair of leaf pendants and then beautiful colored pendants. Last, but probably what everyone is waiting to hear, we made our own ornaments by glass blowing. The owner made it a point to customize our session as possible by giving us the option to either making more pendants or start glass blowing. With all the hype behind glass blowing, we went with the latter. Loved trying it out, but it takes more than two hours of understanding how glass works to be able to blow anything beyond a bubble (don’t get me wrong- it still came out cool for the Christmas Tree). Would without a doubt go back to Prism Glassworks! If you give it a try, expect to walk out with some neat handmade pieces! You’re in good hands!

Prism Glassworks is a beautiful gallery and glass studio where incredibly talented glass artists make their art look so easy! I have been in several times, during a normal working day, but also for Troy Night Out. At this event I have met a wide range of glass artists from around the North East - memories I will treasure. This is a wonderful place where fun artists inspire creative thought. Ive also bought several items here to give as personalised and special presents for birthdays and Christmas. These are one of a kind items. I love it at Prism Glassworks and would recommend it to everyone.

Owner is pretty shady, and might try to scam you like he did to me. The shop is his gallery of ego pieces... nothing affordable or well priced. If youve never seen glass before, go on the open studio night, the keg might make the entry fee worth it.

Awesome gallery Phil is amazing. He fixed a pipe fore that had a lot of sentimental value with no guarantees as it was a cheap pipe. He did such a good job I bought a new rig he made that fit my budget. Super happy A+
