We miss the old park but the new one is fun too. Lots of different areas and things to do. It looked to cater to smaller children a bit better and more coveted areas. It always amazes me why the park & rec designers do not cover all play structures so these kids can continue to play through the liquid sunshine.

They have rebuilt the play equipment and it has more activities and great things for little ones. Theres a special section for age 2-5. The only thing is its like before, not much shade. I only saw 1 bench for sitting in the shade, if you want to keep a close eye on your kids. It was great that it was open during this time.

Lots of parking, under cover areas for picnics, bathrooms are kind of gross (as most outdoor public ones are), the park is usually very clean, lots of areas for parents to sit, or even play with your kids! Its very spacious and fun, we love the remodel! It also has a huge field with a trail that goes around the whole park! Highly recommend!

Love this place. My kids have a blast here. There are so many things to play on that they never want to leave. But the ship is broken now so it doesnt glide back and fourth anymore. The ice cream trucks are always coming there, so have money ready. The bathrooms close early so empty your bladder before you go if you are going there in the evening. They have a designated area for 2-5 year olds and the big play area says 5-12 year olds. But my almost 2 year old loves the big kid play structure and always runs over there to find his older siblings. And my 3 year old always gravitated to the big kid playground as well. They want to be where everyone else is. I have 4 and 1 on the way so I am pretty sure if we are all still living when my unborn turns 1 that he or she will want to go play with the big kids as well. This is a pretty peaceful park for the summer. I say summer, because I havent been during any other season.

Great! Lots of room and different places for your children. If you have unruly children, you can lose them in the crowd. So if you have anxiety, like most, I wouldnt come here.

Imagination Station is one of the Portland Metros destination playgrounds. My 6.5 year old loves it - theres lots to climb on as well as a separate area for smaller kids and public bathrooms. Its all ADA accessible which is nice as well. The one downside is that theres minimal shade and it gets really hot in the summer - make sure to bring some water.

Greatly designed playground ! One problem, though, they locates trash cans way far from play area, so there is constantly trash around playground. I personally pick it up after other kids and adults, because I dont want my kid to play in the trashy area. But I believe if trash cans were installed closer, people wouldnt be so lazy.

Amazing playground, my kids had a blast playing here! We havent been here since the remodel so it was cool to see new things to play on, but Im still sad the old one burnt down. They have everything here; swings, merry go round, huge play structure to run around on, and much much more. I do agree with another parent who said in their review that theyd like to see it fenced in. On one end its very close to the parking lot so it worries me a bit.

Review №57

We love imagination station, especially since the remodel after the fire. The one thing that I dont like, is that its impossible to see your kids when they disappear in the playground. It is not fenced in, so I am paranoid that they will run out the other side or someone will try and leave with them. I would really love if it was enclosed! Either way, my kids love this place. Just stay on your toes and keep a close eye on the kids!!

A new, old landmark. Our beloved community park has had the most glorious of makeovers and become a one of a kind treasure. There are sights, sounds and experiences galore. Everything from a toy xylophone to the castle slides. During game days at the local soccer and baseball fields the affordable snack bar is open. Its perfect. More than a local park and less crazy than an amusement park.

$1000 if you bring a dog to a park? I get not letting a dog on the play area (although I saw four today) I was respectfully invited to leave the entire park or pay a fine! Pretty closed minded for the most dog friendly city in America! There structure is amazing and my children loved it, but likely wont be back if I cant bring it entire family to my daughters birthday party.

Great park, rebuilt after an arson fire a few years back its completely up to date with modern play equipment. The only stressor as a parent with a runner is the lack of barrier between the park and an open soccer field leading to a street. For most families this is no big deal. For the others its something to keep an eye on.

First let me say I have been going to this park since I was a kid, like 6yrs old and now Im in my 30s. The play structure has been completely redone since some teenagers caught it on fire a couple years ago. While I do miss the old structure the new one retains some of the original spirit and ideas and updates them for safer play. The barkdust has been removed and replaced with some kind of soft slightly squishy rubber. This park is a staple of the Gresham area, if you are visiting the area this is the park to come to.

I grew up coming to the imagination station every Sunday. But this time, when I wanted to take my toddlers, I found it absolutely full of teenagers. Older teenagers. Standing and sitting on roofs, running up and down slides... I will never begrudge a teen for wanting to play at a park. But Im a young mom, by myself with two very little boys, and the park didnt look inviting at all. A good portion of the group looked more like adults.I may bring another adult with me if I decide to try and bring my kids again.
