This is our go to church when we travel up to Traverse City. Very nice parish and very traditional Catholic Mass.
Staff are all 5 star. Best in TC.
Welcoming, quiet, clean & sanitized with a feeling of reverence in this troubling time.
Love reading the reviews on here for churches. You kinda know what your gonna get when you go to church.
Very good church service. Excellent music choice . God bless all
The music is moving, the church is decorated so lovely, Fr. Guyman’s homily reflected Mary so well on New Year’s Day. We will be back.
Attended a Mass in which our great-nephew had a reading. He & his classmates did a fine job. I was impressed with all the childrens politeness, behavior, & quietness during the delay of service starting. Delay that couldnt be avoided. Job well done to the young students of Holy Angels Elementary.
EVERYONE needs to wear a mask!
What a beautiful Christian community. Sermon was wonderful, people were friendly and the music inspiring
Fathers Don & Roman both present homilies that touch my heart, soul, and fill me with hope for the future.
Beautiful church. Good preaching of the gospel. Nice people.
Good people, good atmosphere of devotion, and one heck of a music director that makes the music move along.
Now a parishioner at this church. Beautiful Mass, love the music ministry....
Not bad
Very participative faith community. Welcoming to visitors.
Our favorite catholic church ever.Mr. Fred has the best music progran. Many people come to visit especially from out of town when they are in the area!!! I like that they are kid friendly too!
We are visitors from another parish down south. The music was amazing! Very joyful and uplifting. My husband said it brought tears to his eyes he was overcome by the Holy Spirit! Fantastic pianist! We really enjoyed it! My 12 year old son said he liked the happy church. Congregation vey warm and friendly.
Pretty Church!
Excellent church. Orthodox and respectful of the liturgy.
The choir was excellent and most of the Parish seems to participate in the singing. We visited during Independence Day and the patriotic music was beautiful. I will say that I prefer traditional hymns during mass, and they did sing those from a flyer, but the Ordinary was a very strange arrangement that made me feel like I was in a musical. The electric guitar accompanying the piano probably helped that effect. It was not at all familiar or comfortable.Another strange feature that is not typical of Catholic Churches, was that we sang a song before the processional, a lecturer made some announcements (not in place of announcements after mass, but in addition to) then the priest appeared in the front isle to greet everyone asking where all of the visitors were from. Then he asked everyone to welcome each other by shaking hands. After all of that he returned to the back of the Church, and we sang the processional and mass proceeded as usual (mostly).I love that most Churches have visiting priests from other countries to fill in where needed, but we did have a rough time understanding Father Kevin, especially during the Gospel and homily. I tried to concentrate, but I didnt catch most of what he said. When we travel, we usually like to find historic, old Churches. This time they were a little farther away so we chose this parish for convenience. The building has a concrete block stamped 1977, and it is exactly that, a 70s modern style Church, not unlike our Church at home. It is constructed in a semi-circle with a vaulted dark wood ceiling with very simple and large, abstract stained glass walls. There is a lovely life-like crucifix behind the altar, but the tabernacle is not visible from both sides of the Church and the altar and ambo are a very plain granite slab. With all that said the people did seem to be very friendly, welcoming and kid friendly.
This church has become my family over the past few years. I am very sad that Fr. Ken will be leaving, but I know the legacy of the parish will live on. I am very thankful for the friendships I have gained through St. Francis.
We visit a priest there. Its beautiful and so peaceful. Ive not been there for mass

God lives here. Need more be said...
This is my parish along with approximately 1999 other members. We accomodate many visitors from around the world who are always very much welcomed. Our pastor is Father Kenneth Stachnik,a genuine apostle and human being. He has brought back to the church many fallen away Catholics by his love of God and his beautiful ministry as a priest. In my lifetime I have never met a priest more fitted for his vocation. His energy is endless in ALL that he does for Gods request to love one another. He continually has extended his arms to all of the community never ceasing to make each person count. He has always made time for someone in need of his help no matter how long his list was for the day.The congregation has counted on him for leadership in many aspects and he has been there wthout fail. We are about to loose him by decision of the Bishop of our diocese. Needless to say we are all heart broken and devastated by this announcement. I pray and ask God who is most powerful then anyone on this earth to take possesion of this matter. Father Kens heart is here with his church family and if God sees fit here he will remain. Most SincerelyBernadette
I am praying for Maggie Z who feels its appropriate to criticize and critique a CHURCH! Seriously, who does that? Not very Christian of you. Do you really thing YOUR opinion is going to change how we do things here?
