This is my favorite hotel in Traverse Michigan to have either a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

Beautiful hotel! Our room was very clean and cozy, the pool was nice and warm and the hot tub was perfect. We will definitely stay here again

Nice, clean rooms. Nice indoor pool with hot tub, game room for kids. Right on the water. Too late in the season but they do have boat and other rental toys.

· The hotel and the room were clean and comfortable. The bedding & towels were clean and new. There was a table and two chairs so we could eat our meals in the room. There isnt a desk, but the table worked. Breakfast was served by a staff member through a breakfast room window. We could have anything we wanted from the display. There were muffins, cold cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cookies, and biscuits. My favorite part was the delicious coffee flavors. The best being the Macadamia Nut Blend. Yum! The resort was right on the lake. If the weather was nice it would have been great to eat outside or sit in the sun. But you cant expect that in October! There was a nice clean indoor pool, but we didnt use it. Since the hotel was obviously not full, an upgrade to one of the MANY rooms with a view would have been really special. I use to work at the front desk of a local hotel when I was in college. It was our policy to assign our best rooms to our guests no matter what level they booked, so as to exceed their expectations when we could. I dont understand why thats not done universally. It takes just as much effort to check out and clean the best rooms as well as the average ones. Juat sayin.

Awesome staff, clean and amazing rooms. We got the beach side room with the balcony, I so recommend this! Kept the door open with the sound of the waves just relaxing the day away! We only stayed one night and moved on to Mackinaw city. Wish we had just stayed in Traverse City, had a great time with you guys

Spectacular views! Worth it to get a lake front room. Convenient location for downtown shops, restaurants and wineries on the peninsula! Covid-19 policies were respected- masks enforced, breakfast was to-go only. (Bfast was minimal, but better than nothing). Staff wasn’t super friendly but they were sufficient.

Close to downtown Traverse City. Walk or bike on the nice wide trail that runs in front of resort. There is ample parking. We had a trailer for our Harley motorcycle that we were able to park in a great spot. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Very nice beach with lots of chairs and plenty of towels.

My wife and I were looking for a waterfront hotel for our vacation so our daughter could easily swim and Bayshore caught our eye. It turned out to be everything we hoped for. We booked a bayfront room on the ground level which provided us a walkout to the beach. It was perfect. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The location is perfect because it within walking distance to downtown.

This is an awesome hotel - the rooms are beautiful, neat and clean. The employees who work at the front desk are so nice, friendly, and helpful. My best friend and I are going to stay here every time we vacation in the Traverse City area. The amenities are awesome, especially the air hockey table game - so much fun!!

Staff is super friendly and location is prime but truly besides that, this hotel is extremely overpriced. They really did not invest much in the rooms. The beach is right outside your door if you purchase a beach walkout room but it’s not a very nice beach (lots of seagulls and duck and poop). There is no room service. I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels that only cost me $80 per night.My friend also purchased a beach walkout room and only had a large window looking at another building.. no sliding door. $380 is not worth it.

Wedding night here - the view was fantastic of the water, peaceful, clean room, outstanding room service (complimentary bottle of champagne as a congratulations!), and loved the jacuzzi!

Great location. Nice beach. Nice pool. Rooms are ok, clean, but just a little dated. Missing a restaurant and bar tho so you need to travel for that. Understandably, its a good hotel for the summertime but probably not so for winter.

A polite and super accommodating staff; they went above and beyond. A bunch of my family were in town for a wedding and a majority stayed here at Bay Shore. As we are an uncommonly boisterous bunch, before adding alcohol, I expected some requests for us to cool down at some point. Instead these wonderful folks gave us a conference room to muck it up and play some cards. The rooms were reasonable, beautiful, and clean with great views. 10/10 I would recommend. This is what youre looking for.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Came up for a hockey tournament and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and staff was superb. Highly recommend them for anytime of the year!

Great pool, nice view from the rooms period rooms were clean. They did smell a little stuffy, but opening the balcony door for a bit resolved it.

I like the location and cleanliness of hotel but I didn’t like the beds in the room. They sunk in the middle Very uncomfortable . You must do something with the pool area. Very slippery I watched every single person slip at least once.

I booked online and there was only a basic room a available so I called one week prior to coming and asked if I can have the lower level room with a walk out patio bc my husband had knee surgery and couldn’t get walk around a lot and they said “yes I put you in that room” I asked if they were sure they said yes I called on my way here 4 hour drive and asked again they said yes. I get here and they act like they don’t know what I’mTalking about. They have me a room on the second Floor with the view or a dumpster truck. They charged me more to move to the lower level, they’re rude no one Is accommodating they charged us 500 a night and the room is basic, dirty no soap noShampoo. Never ever staying her again be ware. Oh and you have to vacuum your own room. Just rent a house.

One of the few hotels on the waterfront, could use updating. You’re paying for the location. Staff was very friendly but NONE wore masks during peak Covid-19... not housekeeping or front desk or even maintenance man who had to enter our room.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. They were very friendly. They exceeded my expectations. The continental breakfast was more than enough. The rooms were very clean and had everything needed. Would definitely recommend and definitely come back.

Came for a hockey tournament and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate. Friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. Rooms are clean with a good amount of space. Breakfast was great! Awesome location. I highly recommend Bayshore.

Way overpriced for just an average comfort in room that had very small balcony an overcrowded tables off of beach....terrible breakfast accomidations!!! You would think $500 a night would give you more then a muffin an already boiled eggs @ 9am...very disappointed and will not be back!!!

My husband and I had an excellent experience there in December. The accommodations were excellent and the staff were helpful, professional, well-trained, and responsive. The tree in the lobby, the lights outside, and the view from the room were all just beautiful. It didn’t feel like a chain. It was very hospitable. They have a fun arcade and great fitness room. I hope we can come back.

Paper-thin walls. Littered beach. Tiny showers. Can hear everyones plumbing, running water & running spa jets. Very good continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.

The rooms are really nice. The service is wonderful. The view is beautiful. The breakfast includes hot (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc..) and cold options (cereal, yogurt, donuts, etc...), fruit, coffee, different kinds of juices, etc. My only suggestion would be to offer eggs without cheese for those who may have a dairy intolerance or allergy. Overall, it is great. I highly recommend this place.

The hospitality and overall stay was a good experience, but we were severely disappointed with the fact that we were here for valentines weekend as a getaway and found out the hard way that this was a hotel that many families were staying at this weekend for kids hockey tournaments. We had originally signed up for this hotel for the awesome indoor pool and hot tub, but have been unable to use it as the pool area is open to adults and kids until it closes at 11. We would’ve loved the option to have a time where it’s adults only but this is not something they offer here.

Great views and comfortable stay! The beach area is nothing fancy but well cared for. Beach chairs are plentiful and staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms and common areas are very clean but a little dated. I think thats what I enjoyed. Like stepping back in time. Beds are very comfortable as well!

We were able to check in early, and were upgraded to a better room with a view. There was a good variety of food for the continental breakfast. One night we used the shuttle to take us into town. It worked out great for us! I would recommend this reasonable resort to anyone.

Just did our annual family vacation in Traverse City. We stayed at Bayshore resort. The kids loved the pool, and the beach. The location was wonderful. All the people we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel! The FREE breakfast was very yummy too!

If your going to eliminate services like breakfast and maid service, you should lower your daily rate commensuratly. $350 per night is too much without these services. I get the covid thing, but businesses are taking advantage of the situation.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this time I have to. This inn was WONDERFUL. We had a groupon reservation at another hotel in Cadillac and it was terrible. We left there and decided to just drive in to Traverse City. We found Bayside Inn through Groupon and it had the cheapest prices on anywhere in town. We called and they matched the Groupon price without question.Then we walked in. It’s SO beautiful. A giant live Christmas tree and a fire in the fireplace. Free flavored coffees and tea and hot chocolate all day. The pool and hot tub are beautiful and clean and the continental breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Yummy eggs and sausage,cold cereals and granola, donuts, sweetbreads, waffles, fruits, yogurts.There were people cleaning everywhere constantly. Front desk was amazing. Had scissors for our daughters crafting and Tylenol for our son.Room was clean and beautiful.We were SO impressed.Best prices in town and absolutely lovely.

Stopped here on our way to Grand Rapids and the hotel was a lovely beach-front property. We did not stay in a lake-view room, but we thoroughly enjoyed the patio. Very reasonably priced. Fun town, as well. Within walking distance to town - we had fantastic cherry pie at Grand Traverse Pie Co., which is a necessary purchase when in Traverse City!

Always a good stay at a fair off season price. Breakfast is full of options on higher occupancy days weekends and adequate on slow days . No complaints at all

Very clean hotel, gorgeous view, very close to downtown, plus a large pool! Also shout out to Melissa, who helped me locate something I left in my room after checkout and even got it shipped it to me! When in TC, I wont ever stay anywhere else.

Pros - very quiet and comfortable beds. Cons - very, very old and over priced. This hotel has great views of the water, but so expensive. There were spider webs on the ceiling too. The shower is short, so if you are 60 and above you will need to duck. This hotel needs some MAJOR updating. The cleaning staff only made the beds and changed the trash, they did not clean our room. I know this because there were some threads on the floor (from my shirt) and I had some powder make-up spill in the bathroom. HOWEVER, it is SOOO very quiet, which we loved!

Good place to stay at a reasonable price. Hasn’t been remodeled in many years. Free breakfast was nice. Conveniently located on Front st on the bay and less than a mile from city center.

Stayed here with the wife and our 1 year old. Walk out to the beach, short walk/ride to the excellent shopping and food in downtown. Great pool for the kid(s) and very friendly staff. We will return!

Very nice stay. We had a king room, with a balcony on the water side (though it was all ice during our visit). Room was clean and neatly appointed. Staff was friendly. Included breakfast had a wide variety of options, including sausage, scrambled eggs, and two types of omelets. Location is also convenient to down town, and or tour bus picked us up at the lobby.

Absolutely love this hotel! This was a surprise stay, and we were upgraded at no extra charge! The staff was super friendly, they offer a continental breakfast every morning, they have an indoor pool and hot tub, and if you visit in this summer you have a private beach! The beds and especially the pillows were super comfortable! Their hidden gems with in this hotel are located on the basement floor... Where they offer an arcade room, doors that go out to the beach, a whole vending area, and several sitting areas!

Room was a hint dated and chairs on the beach could have been a bit more substantial. Otherwise our stay was perfect. Staff was super friendly, and the room was very large. Only 10 minutes walking to the Cherry Festival and you get a waterfront view from your room - win win!

I stayed there for a hockey torment against a Trevor city team, The rooms where always clean, Big pool, Pool comes with floatys, And more, Comfortable beds,big tv, And they gave us a great view of the lake!Even though when we left it was sad. But my little brother left his ball in there.

Wonderful beach resort. Book the room on beach level. You can walk directly into the lake. Smart service. But rates can be cheaper through 3rd parties....

This place is so warm and welcoming. It doesnt feel like youre in a hotel/resort.. it feels like youre at home. The staff is beyond friendly & our room was very clean. The views off of the balcony are just stunning. I love this place and when we visit Traverse City again, this is the only place we will stay.

We wanted to stay there because you have a shuttle, but its not running, another hotel we called. There shuttle is running.

Positive: The staff was lovely. Negative: The courtesy shuttle stops running at 10:00 PM. Thatâ€s useless when your flight lands at 11:30. 👎🠻

The property was right on the bay beach. There was even a place to rent a pontoon boat or jet skis adjacent to the property which was fantastic for my teens. The breakfast (included) was amazing with a lot of variety. The property was very clean and safe!

Loved jazz night! But that meant a packed house. Manager moved a table in for us to sit though! Only good place to see the lake is from the restaurant. Waiters in the breakfast restaurant were great! Offered insight to local places to visit and eat. Cant wait to see the new renovation complete.

Very comfortable beds. I loved the jacuzzi tub in my bedroom. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Room was clean and maid service was great as well. Our room had a really nice view of the beach and it was nice to be right there. The complimentary breakfast is similar to a comfort inn buffet breakfast - simple foods and nothing too exciting. Only complaint is the outdated decor. Overall, it was a good stay. Not bad, but not all that memorable or outstanding.

Great place for the money. Very clean, staff is very friendly. The Jacuzzi in the pool area was out of service for our stay and that was a decent bummer because we really enjoy the hot tubs. We upgraded to a suite at check-in so we could use the smaller in-room jetted tub. Location is great and walkable to downtown Traverse. The fitness room was disappointing as both treadmills are out of service currently. Didnt bring my outdoor running gear because of the treadmills here :( Overall a great place to stay in Traverse. The whole family gives thumbs-up. Well be back in the summer.
