Our family loves this place. My kids love playing the UFO catcher machines. They have a great selection of Japanese stuffed animals and collectible figures to win from the machines. The arcade is huge and there are many games we have never seen before. It’s a great place to spend some time and just have some fun and escape all the craziness going on right now. The staff is great and the manager is super friendly and helpful. They are very attentive and always available to restock or reset the machines. The bowling alley is also very nice. We have only used it a few times. They have other rooms there (karaoke) and you can rent the pool tables but we haven’t done that yet. They also have a bar area and a counter service restaurant. The food is much better than I expected. Perfect for when the kids need a quick pick me up. If you have never been here do yourself a favor and check it out!

Updating my previous review because that was pre-COVID. Despite the social distancing and other measures in place to keep everyone safe, this Round 1 has improved so much. Machines have been put in and rearranged for a better play area. Notably for the rhythm games, they now have a Pump It Up, DDR A20 Plus, (2) Wacca machines, 3 IIDX cabinets (2 lightning cabinets), 1 Dance Rush, 2 SDVX machines, a Gitadora setup, and much more. No more amusement license issues, claw machines get stocked regularly, and from what I can tell most machines are functional without issue.Youll notice that a bunch of the lower ratings (myself included) were from months ago so take that into consideration with the reviews overall. Things are much MUCH better now.

I’ve been a regular here since it’s opened. Great selection of games, a lot here for everyone! Round1 is a Japanese company so there are more import games here than you’d see at a Dave & Busters or Main Event, but there is still a good mix for everyone. Plus, the crane games selection is a lot more varied than other places! The staff is super friendly and has always been accommodating.Bowling is fantastic, and the Karaoke rooms were a good time and a great deal for all of my friends and I!

My family and I are new to Maryland, recently moved from New York, and was looking for some safe entertainment. Round 1 was safe, fun and very well kept. The staff was pleasant, and the security team was amazing. Everyone seemed to work well together to ensure the safety of everyone there. Masks were required at all times and I constantly saw the communal areas being cleaned. At a time like this, a place like this is very reassuring, I cant wait to return! Great job Round 1!

Im impressed with how theyre running this place, covid or not. The manager is very hospitable and this has been my favorite arcade chain ever since the Exton location and the ones I visited in Tokyo.Im glad to see the staff is diligent with hygiene and the diverse arcade games are a big draw for me.I think if nothing else, patience is important. Some of the amenities arent available but its a safety thing more than anything else. Not all the games are available and thats ok because theres so many other things to do.

Excellent place to go solo, with friends, or bring the family. Large assortment of Japanese rhythm games to play - rare to find state-wide nowadays! Tons of crane/claw machines to test your skills and win some instant gratification. Staff is friendly and helpful, and have been known to go out of their way to please patrons!

I love coming to visit! This location always has a nice selection of plush for the claw machines which is often changed out. They have a large selection of games that are constantly sanitized. I mainly come for the rhythm games, which they have plenty of and they are kept in good condition. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

My family & I enjoyed our time here! Especially my son I was nervous about coming because of a few reviews I read from their opening month but WELL WORTH THE TRIP! I appreciated the fact that they complied with the CDC guidelines ️ The management team made me very comfortable by explaining all the precautions they took to ensure a safe and enjoyable time . The food was pretty good too Definitely coming back! The discounts from the Round1 digital club card is definitely going to come in handy.

I went to round 1 today and it was amazing!! The food is great the people there are also great. They have variety of games they are all so much fun. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE GOING TO ROUND 1 U WONT REGRET IT

I am new to Towson and I was so excited because, I am familiar with the Round One franchise. Oh boy was I disappointed! Everything was down half the games even if your with a party you can not play group games, the grill did not work, it did not look like anyone cleaned, the list could go on. There are a lot of kids or so called young adults that is just standing around talking. The only person that gave us an enjoyable customer service was a manager.I could go on and on but the absolute worst part was the food situation. I ordered two sets of wings and it took over 40 minutes to get my food. The worst part, I COULD SEE THEM. I looked directly at them drop the wings in the grease and stop to talk. The young man pulled the wings out the grease set them down and started to talk again. He looked at the wings then touched the basket and then stopped to talk. So much time was eaten up but yet I still had no wings. Finally the young man put the wings in this bucket type thing with the sauce, only to again stop and start talking. At this point my friend and I was frustrated so we asked what was going on. The young man had the audacity to say he just needed to shake it up. In return the comments went back and forth for almost 3 minutes and it still took him almost five minutes to grab the bucket and shake up the wings.

Awesome time and a friendly environment! Tons of rare games and prizes. Staff that treats you with respect and kindness. Oh, and the food actually tastes good, especially the ice cream! I highly recommend.

One of the few great arcades still running today. The staff do their jobs well, and there is a big variety of games, from time crisis and tomb raider, to skiball, to DDR. I go about 2 times a week and the only complaint I have is sometimes my favorite machines are down (but this comes with the territory). If youre looking for a lit up night of fun and competition, this is the place to be! Highly recommend!

Fun and easy UFO catchers and a bunch of diverse arcade games. A number of machines werent working unfortunately but a staff member mentioned that they would be serviced soon. Cool stuff in the prize room and courteous staff. Also, clean with hand sanitizer stations in multiple locations, quite easy to social distance.

So many fun anime games and Crane games!! I felt like a child in a candy store! I even won 3 plushies in 2 minutes and 4 tries!

I had an amazing time at round 1 with my boyfriend. spent $100 and walked out with a trashbag full of prizes. the workers are super nice and readjusted anything we asked for so we could win. will defintely be going back. also shout out to the scrawny white guy with long hair, he was the man!

Has always been a favored spot of mine. Clean and great sanitation practices in place. Games are right out of Japan so it is certainly a must do if you’re looking for something different than a typical Game Center. 10/10 it’s one of favorite places to visit when I have the chance

This place was very clean environment was clean happy in me in my family are goin back today my kids will love it ..it will be there first time .. they are practicing social distancing it’s lots of hand sanitizers everywhere you look .. every other game is off not broke due to COVID-19 they are trying they best to keep us safe in happy at the same time

First time at a Round 1. I’m surprised to see all of the negative reviews. Everything was up and running for us, just no tables due to COVID. Lots of unique games, claw machines, and photo booths. I had a good time.

I love the variety of games, and the crane games being that of skill vs luck. The manager was very nice and they have broadened their choice of prizes!

This place is the Cats Pajamas! Super big selection of games and beautiful bowling lanes and pool tables. Impossible to be bored in this place! Staff is super helpful and deliver A+ service! Seriously the bees knees!

Ive Gone In February Before The Covid & Just Last Weekend, Same Amazing Experience! I Will Continue To Go Back Every Chance I Get!!!

When i first arrived i didnt know at a certain time you have to have your id. Like dude im 40 and my wallet is in the car.I requested a manager and thank god she didnt make me walk back to the car. Keep in mind im pregnant. Once in side theres a coin shoratage and they would have to keep my .88 cents so i decided to use google pay. Everything going well and my son and i become hungry. We ordered and the machine says pay with card or cash i wanted to use cash. Get to the register and theres a coin shortage. My order was 21.18, no way they are keeping my change. So i decided to use google pay again. Long and behold the machine at the food counter doesnt work and once again they want to keep my change because of shortage. I requested manager and he says theres nothing he can do. So he cant take a 18 cent short but i have to take a 82 cent short because they have no change and their google pay isnt working. On top of that they already begain to make the food. So waste the food all because you dont want to take an 18 cent short. I am so livid right now.So if customers are coming in with cash and not getting their change. Where does the extra money go? SMH. This was my first and last time coming here.

We had a blast, definitely can’t wait to go back . Staff was very helpful . They just had a lot of awesome stuff.

A lot of the games were out of order. It seems like they opened their doors before they were ready to. The bar was not operational either, no liquor license I assume. On the positive side, they did have quite a selection of Japanese rhythm games. They have pool tables and party rooms as well. It was also very clean and well lit.

This place is a huge fail. Half the machines are out of order. Majority of the claw machines have nothing in them. The staff is super slow when it comes to either buying cards or getting food. No bar yet? What’s the point. A bunch of foreign games that you can’t even understand the instructions. Not enough lanes for bowling. This place definitely opened up before they were ready.

Great place I made a mistake with purchasing tokens on the wrong card and they fix it with no problems and with a variety of games to plays I was never bored there

My experience was horrible. The food was disgusting and the manager Zack had poor customer service. I will take Dave and Busters over them any day

PLEASE READ️ This place is a complete waste of time and money, it’s all looks! Took my son here because he was very excited about this NEW ARCADE and it was a horrible experience. When a child leaves an arcade with a frown on his/her face you KNOW it was disappointing. Nick however, the manager, was nice enough to make our experience a little better by accommodating our needs. If the owners of this place are reading this. DAVE & BUSTERS will be in business waaaaay after this place is barred in the dirt!! Games were not in service after only 2 MONTHS of being open.. No kid friendly games really... games only last 3 seconds!...bunch of foreign games....I don’t want to ramble but yea, will NOT be going back!

It has rare Japanese games you cannot find anywhere else. That alone gives it 5 stars.

Not a good experience. Some claw machines were not filled with prizes, some games did not give most or all of the big points we won, and a lot of games were not working. Did not try the food or bowling to experience that.

Niche games. Lucky its my niche! All those japanese rhythm games are beautiful and so fun. And the unlimited gameplay is value.

I called a couple weeks ago to ask if they had a IIDX machine and was told no. But M Ts review from a week ago implies they have one (now?) so I guess Ill check it out sometime and make a more informed review later.

Half the games were down / not fully installed and some workers still dont know how to use the game card systems. I hope things will get better as the employees get more experience but I wont go back for atleast 6 months.

Great place! Two things, they need more floor staff or trigger alarms for the claw machines, it takes a minute to get someone to unlock the machines to get a prize from the claw games, and also cycling out the prizes more frequently would also be appreciated, thank you.

Went on Valentine’s Day. All foreign games. Most were broke. Machines was dirty. Barely any games. Over priced. Have to be 25 after 12:00 but kids can stay

I was very disappointed to hear about the lack of a Dance Dance Revolution machine that was coming to the Towson location. I had contacted the location several times since its initial opening and had been told by employees about how it would initially arrive in January, then in February, before finally being told that it would no longer be coming to this location. This in spite of the fact that the location has several other Bemani/Konami style rhythm games including Beatmania, DanceRush, GuitarFreaks, etc. The several Round 1 locations I had been to prior each had DDR at them, so this was a disappointing surprise to me when I found out about the change of plans.

Hello I went to this round 1 and the customer service was horrible, they’re WiFi kept glitching, karaoke machine only worked for 30 minutes, 2 large pizzas, wings, and a 2 liter soda cost 80 dollars. And lastly when we asked for the managers name she declined and do not give us an corporate number.

Slow service and the staff were hiding behind the counter or too busy talking amongst themselves.

Actual arcade games, not just luck/ticket games. Really good selection of rhythm games, friendly staff.

The food is bad, cold, took 45 minutes and came with no sauce.The girls at the counter have a bad atitude as well.

If there was an option option for a negative one star Id give it that. disorganized, unprofessional staff, etc...truly believe this place will be closed .
