This is a great venue for attending various concerts and choir performances. Ive attended Washburn University students recitals, Shawnee County Choral Societys concerts, and so many other performances here. They do not sell food at these events. Bathrooms are down the stairs from the main/front foyer.

Part of Washburn university, its used for community events and community music performances. The inside is very similar to when it was built, and has been updated several times over the years. Sound tiles were added to improve the acoustics. Seats are padded and comfortably for the most part. Isles are close together, and make it fun to get out when you have to leave for the restrooms.

Not a fair review. My nephew, Caleb Wahwasuck was killed in a car accident in 2009. A scholarship was established there in his name. Ive never gotten over it. A couple of students a year get financial assistance from him. Ive seen their letters of gratitude, it still hurts.I play the flute and had through college. Im happy they had help from him.I hate Ramens to this day making ends meet in school. But I love this place. Its very special to me even if they dont know who I am when I come.

The performance hall is absolutely spectacular, both from the perspective of the audience and the performers. Most of the performances are college related, though there is a good number from elsewhere.

I attended a Shawnee County Coral Society concert here. The venue had good acoustics for the most part and the concert was enjoyable. Parking can be sketchy because its on Washburns campus but we were able to find handicap parking fairly close. The concert hall is handicap accessible with a companion seat in the accessible seating areas. The slope of the floor could be an issue if your balance is impaired.

The acoustics are great. The concerts I have attended there are always good quality and the setting, e en for a larger facility feels intimate. I wish info about an elevator, if there even is one was more readily available if you arrive late and no one is ready to assist.
