Veterans Memorial Park

This is a fantastic park, spent many a summers day picnicking with my family when I was growing up, parks personal take great care of all aspects of the park. Still like to go there and relax on a nice summers day birthdays under the pavillion what great times.

60 degree weather in November, had a great time. Impressed with the huge grills.

Absolutely no bathrooms! Not even a porta potty! Unacceptable, Covid 19 or not. This is ridiculous on Labor day weekend. We all socially distanced and used disinfectant wipes but no bathroom is inhuman in USA! Thank You Governor Cuomo!

Great little Park to take your family and friends. Nice kids playground. Bathrooms on site and usually clean. Grills are all around the parts to make food while you are there.

Awesome park with a few disc golf baskets, playgrounds, baseball field. Very cool place . Not to mention the giant Apache (:

Litter free and spacious shelter on site. Captivating Memorial.

Not overly crowded, LARGE play area for kids, easy to choose if you want to be in shade or sunshine.

Very nice. We had a memorial service for a friend there. It was perfect!

They have pavilion you can rent. The water is right there. Have plenty of grabage cans . They have a park, for the kids to play on and plenty of grass room. They have a bathroom facility on location. Just a great get together location. There is frisbee golf corse spread throughout the whole park

Fall Festival 2019 at Vets park! Nothing beats local Fall fun. Good prices on all the yummy food/treats. The park adds to the outdoor fun for little ones looking to play and enjoy the nice outdoor atmosphere. We loved the hayride and live.music too.

Support those who fight for your freedom

The red childs swing. Needs to be replaced. The seat is disintegrating on all four corners attached to the chains.

I grew up blocks from this park and recently we flew our family from our new home in Seattle to visit family and friends and reserved a gazebo here for the meetup. Not only was it clean (including the bathrooms), it was spacious and the park attendant checked on us and the bathrooms more than once to make sure all was good.We are very appreciative and had an amazing day.

Nice little park close to home. Had a good approach 9 hole disc golf course. They do need better tees though.

Very clean and safe feeling, walking distance from the water and many concessions. Regularly patrolled by park and Tonawanda Police, there wont be any funny business going on while your family is trying to have their outing.

Very nice and well kept. Even the public grills in the park were all cleaned out. It seems small but its usually the person about to use the grill cleaning it.

Every one should honor our veterans, There are the real Heros.

Nice to chill. It is a little close to traffic and it is not bad. It is nice to get close with nature if you live in the city

The Vietnam Nam wall is fabulous. The map is a good idea. My husband was able to find all the towns he was stationed. My brothers name is also on the wall.

Went for a walk ended up behind the water plant. Thought I was ignoring the dont trespass sign when I cut through and ended walking through 6 inches of water for 50 feet....#@!%

A beautiful park to relax, take a walk, look at the sunset and appreciate our veterans

We had a family reunion picnic in the park. We reserved a pavilion and it worked out perfectly. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and a spacious pavilion for the meal. Everyone commented on how well maintained the place is. The only sour note was when a park employee swore at us for driving a car on to the grass to pick up a handicapped relative.

Really like going here in my free time only wish the disc golf course was a little more maintained amd newer baskets besides that it is great!

I always like a park worth a little bit of nature in it. This one has a creek and some wood, two major pluses.

Beautiful gardens surround these incredible monuments of fallen heros.

Modern park amenities but the playground area isn’t large enough for the crowd it draws.

For now. This is a great park. Good family environment. Local wildlife lives in the wooded area around it.Although soon, there will be luxury condos, that will push out the wildlife and trees will come down.I can only hope that people that live in the area will objection to destroying this beautiful area.It currently is a great place.

Beautiful park. Across from the Niagara River. Picnic and baseball playing areas. A park office. Veterans memorial with a Vietnam attack helicopter. Lots of parking. Its no smoking. Not far from a 7 Eleven.

My sons, daughter and I enjoyed our visit to this park very much!! It was nice to have a public restroom that was very clean and had all of the essentials.

Amazing place for the family has nice shelters. 3 star because NO PETS ALLOWED ( except between 6am-9am during summer )

Patriotic! Honors the USA, the flag, our Military and VETs.Well done citizens of Tonawanda. Covered picnic areas (reserve if you know if advance), playground equipment, inside public restrooms, clean, very nice.

It was nice, use of oscilloscope was free and it had very nice grills to cook on. Close to the water and lots of shade. You still have the sounds of the city.

Nice park for birthday parties or family bbqs. They have shelters and bbq, as well as pic nic tables. They also have public washrooms and a playground for the kids

This was an excellent place for a picnic, they had huge grills, playground, bathrooms & plenty of plugs in the shelter.

Easy to play volleyball court

Always well taken care of and a beautiful place to relax and watch the river. Also a great option to take your first date for a romantic walk to get to know one another.
