When I lived in Sylvania years ago I always enjoyed coming to this park with my dog and with friends to enjoy the beautiful scenery and trails. My wife and I brought our kids here for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was just like I remember. At the time of this writing we are six months into the Michigan/Ohio COVID-19 pandemic, and even during this time the park has been well maintained, the restrooms were clean and the playscape was also clean. It is a great place to bring your family and (during this pandemic period) enjoy the outdoors while remaining safely and socially distanced.

Ive been to this park several times when I was younger but never actually explored. After I had kids I started to become more explorative so I did go back and went through as much as possible and its an amazing Park. Its 10 times better than what you expect and its very nice and cozy for your kids.

This is the kind of park where lifelong memories are made! Plenty of paths - paved or trail - to walk, run, or bike. Excellent playscapes, attractions in nature building and manor house, and the energy of other folks enjoying nature along with you. I dont know how you could go wrong with a visit to this local treasure!

Park is still as great as I remember last going. Even with the pandemic going on, being outside here feels fantastic. It is a chance to get away from the fear and the claustrophobia and just enjoy yourself. Please go, especially now, to relieve some of that built up energy - itll do wonders!

I love Wildwood. The layout is great, there are tons of things to do (usually, they are at limited capacity during the writing due to the pandemic) and many well maintained paths throughout. We see deer and various wildlife every time we go. Great for walking, biking, running, pets, children, adults… everyone and everything!

Ive walked at many different Metroparks, and this one seems to be the most congested. I had difficulty finding a parking space, even though it was a weekday afternoon; trails have heavy traffic and thus your chances of seeing wildlife are reduced. If you are looking for solitude and an environment for peaceful contemplation, I would recommend a different metropark. Central Ave is also very busy and chaotic noise from that leaks onto the trails, especially the yellow trail. Although this park may be nice for community members in surrounding neighbors, it doesnt seem like a destination if you are coming from out of town, looking for peace.

Great metro park with great history. Good place to walk. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Fantastic history here. Too bad that part of the history was destroyed by time and fire before someone took up the cause and helped save whats there today. It would be very cool to have seen this estate in its heyday!

Its home to me in so many ways. I meet my friends here for walks in its incredible forests and trails that spiral through trees and fields and creeks. Seeing all of the activities of sports, bicyclists, artists and tours just makes this place and its old mansion very special. Its also a walk through history because of the fantastic story of the Stranahan family and its dedication to this area including their famous Champion Spark Plugs headquartered here in Toledo. I was actually privilege to be a part of the movement to purchase this land and turned it into a public park back in the 70s
