Beautiful unspoiled stretches of beach! I had read someone mention their favorite was around parking area 5 (the last one out), but missed the warning sign... my grandson and I were surprised when some wildlife came strolling by... just cant imagine how nude sunbathers would be allowed here! So just avoid area 5 if you bring your family.

There are 13 parking areas that have fewer people farther out. The last one is a nudist beach . Great access over the dune and there are public rest rooms at each spot.No fresh water to rinse so best to bring some.

Beautiful beach! You do have to pay to get into the national park though. Very close to the launchpads so we could see a rocket that was outside- pretty cool. They also have a nude beach.

Wonderful beaches without overwhelming amounts of visitors, especially in the fall and winter months. Parking lots are well spaced out to give visitors more room apart from each other and the furthest lot is the section of the beach that is designated and allows for nude sunbathing. There is a lot of wildlife to see including dolphins, crabs, shore birds and even birds of prey hunting fish over the waves. Also a great location to view rocket launches from Cape Canaveral.

My favorite beach here in Florida, plus I live close by! Very natural, great waves and beautiful water. Love finding unique sea shells there, or just laying out to get some sun. So glad they close at 8pm so I can watch the sunset. Highly recommend this beach to anyone out here!

Gorgeous beach, slightly pricey. Rangers are nicely paid, the first one had a new Mercedes, second one is pictured. Doesnt open until noon which is new? Cant see it apparently right now but sunrise here is amazing. I saw a smashed tortoise within an hour of my visit which really was sad because the ranger commiserated with me but enforced nothing because they dont have cameras on the road, hed rather complain to me about my little electric vehicle instead of catching speeders, which I thought was his job. The last lot doesnt have enough parking for smaller vehicles so motorcycles have to park along the grass median which isnt very nice. After riding my scooter down the miles from lot 3 in the blazing sun to my spot on the sand, while putting my vehicle in the trunk of a friends car to avoid water damage, a ranger improperly informed me that there are no electric vehicles allowed on this beach, couldnt cite the statute number law against me, and told me it was my responsibility to know the law when I mentioned I combed their website as well as Florida law for any trace of not allowed but turned up nothing on electrics going up to 10 mph(Defined by Florida Statute 320.01(42) as “any four-wheeled electric vehicles whose top speed is greater than 20 miles per hour but not greater than 25 miles per hour,” low speed vehicles include NEV or neighborhoodelectric vehicles. I was going 8 mph when stopped, and only have two wheels so its defined as a bicycle since it can be propelled by foot as well and falls under active travel which is unrestricted as of now. I didnt want to make him seem like he didnt know the rules so I kept my mouth shut at the moment. Mr R stated that if I was pedaling an E bike(can go up to 25mph) or kicking to propel myself it would be different. Admitting falsehood to my face, I really dont appreciate that. Had an acquaintance be accused of commercial photography here when it was hobby only, went to court and the ranger didnt even show so it got thrown out. If the rangers dont harass you for no good reason its generally a good time.

The tides were really rough and the sand was too rough to walk in. It was also made of rough shells, kind of like sandpaper... I’m a Florida native and this is probably lower on my list of beaches, but it still is a beach so it’s hard to not have a good time. It’s also great if you want privacy- nobody was there. Parking is steep ($20 per car) but for a nice quiet moment it was well worth it. Also I’d highly recommend to not use the bathrooms, because they’re gross. Final note: bring snacks/water... there’s nowhere on the grounds (that I saw) where you could get anything of the sort

Extremely beautiful beach and great fishing. If you arrive between 6 AM to 7 maybe 730 ish AM you may encounter biting sand flies. My family and I went fishing for my birthday and got torn up but these sand flies. They are really small and the bite is quite annoying. They were in our hair, face, legs arms clothes, our beach wagon, everywhere! I love fishing so I will definitely be back but please make sure you bring a DEET bug spray because we had a more natural spray that didnt work and we used DEET and it was a life saver. The beach itself is beautiful. Multiple access points and the beaches are rarely overcrowded. The reason for the 2 stars is the ridiculously long wait to get into the park. Canaveral National Seashore is a great relaxing way to spend the day. It does cost 20 dollars to get in, but that money goes to help with conservation of the area. it is a 6 mile stretch of beach that you can drive or bike through with multiple stops along the way. There is the turtle mound, the largest shell midden on the us mainland. up further from there is a gift shop and a little further from there is winding castle. now just so you know there is no castle but there is a beautiful trail you can walk, if your lucky you might see an armadillo!

Playalinda is a great beach for natural beauty. New hours need immediate revising. Being open from 12pm to 8pm is unacceptable. The beach should be open in the morning, too, like it used to be. And the clothing optional section should include Boardwalk 12 as well as 13 to accommodate the wishes of the many users who are inconvenienced by having to park at 12 and walk up to 13. I returned to the Canaveral national seashore after several years. I discovered it cost $15 per vehicle to enter but that it lasts seven days. There are approximately five locations that you can park and access the beach. There’s a visitor center as well. And a boat launch area. It is a family friendly area although a word of caution at beach number five. There is a sign warning of possible nudist people, so you may not want to bring children to beach number five. Other than that, it was very quiet and not touristy as further down the beach where the hotels are.

A nice drive to a pristine Florida. This is a drive inside a national park so there is a park entrance fee for your vehicle. It is a 6 mile drive from the north entrance to the turnaround at parking lot 6. There are 6 main parking lots along the Atlantic ocean side numbered from 1-6 (north to south). Parking lot 6 leads to clothing optional part of the beach. All other beaches are not clothing optional. Off River road (on the west side of the road about 1 mile inside the park entrance) there are more parking lots (parking lots 7 and above) that lead to the river or trails. There is a visitor’s center and turtle mound walk also on the west of the road. The drive is pleasant but there are not many sights to see from the car. There are several sites to stop and see along the way like those listed above. It is a very nice park and the Atlantic ocean water color is beautiful.
