I’m a Retired Deputy Sheriff from St. Clair co. Mi. My Brother & I toured the Museum and found it very good. We then went to the pistol range, what a very nice range it is. We rented one handgun & bought 50 rounds of 9MM. During my stay there I was thanked many times for my service, which I seldom hear.

Fantastic museum and hall of fame. This place was great very well kept. The hall of fame memorial was really neat, every fallen officer in the United states is there since 1960. They also have tons of fun activities for you do along with a simulator for real world experiences. The staff were very nice and friendly. Also the price to get in is $13 for adults which is definitely worth it. There is so much to see and read there. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Accepted my foreign law enforcement role for discounted entry which was surprising and very much appreciated. A nice museum to do in a morning or afternoon, doesnt need more than a couple of hours but enough to interact with and explore to keep you occupied a short while. Really helpful and nice staff. If youre nearby with an hour or two to kill and have any interest in the police then check it out

Beautiful museum, properly maintained. It contains the names of fallen officers in the line of duty. The staff is very nice and always willing to help. Within the building (on the other side) there is also a shooting range that is open to the public. Certified staff members in both civilian and law enforcement realms teach people on the safety of firearms. Classes are also taught in Spanish for the community at large.

I can easily say that this is overall a terrific facility and there is really nothing like it anywhere. The museum is chock full of interesting items and stories. The two shooting ranges and staff are great. There are endless opportunities for training. The museum has a state of the art simulator available for public use.

The American Police Hall of Fame & Museum is located at 6350 Horizon Drive just south of Titusville, Florida, adjacent to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. It houses law enforcement exhibits, a memorial and a Hall of Fame. It is the nations first national police museum and a memorial dedicated to law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The museum was founded in 1960 in North Port, Florida by Gerald Arenberg. He was a police officer injured in the line of duty by a drunk driver in 1955. It was his dream to build a memorial to honor all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, those that paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep the peace, to protect, and to serve. The museum was moved from North Port to the former FBI building in Miami, Florida in 1990. This building had 3 floors, housing the museum on the first 2 floors and the administration offices on the 3rd floor. By 2000 this facility became too small to house the growing number of exhibits, as well as the growing number of names in the memorial. In 2001, building began on the museum in Titusville. This facility opened in May, 2003. The Space Coast area was chosen because of its proximity to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame, and of course, Orlando. The museum is supported and maintained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. U.S. National Police Surgeon Linval K. Fleetwood MD, nominated by Chief Arenberg and appointed by U.S. President Bill Clinton, served the mission of the Hall of Fame & Museum from 1996 to 2007 by advising Congress about police issues, performing ceremonies for officers killed in the line of duty, and providing counseling for the families of those officers.

Didnt offer us a tour. Said museums were open that havent been open in years. Every entrance we went to we got a different story. We had over a hour and half before close and we felt rushed out. The attendants were rude. We had family with us out of town from MA, the nicest thing we were told was Have a nice Day, Come back and see us Why? Rude. Acted like we were a bother. You would think us being the ONLY car in parking lot you would be informative and want our business. Thanks for nothing. Very disappointing knowing this is run by officers/retired officers who didnt want to educate willing patrons.

We both had a fascinating insight into the life of the police and the evolution of the cars and equipment used over the years. To all the brave police officers who served and unfortunately given their lives in their duty, we would like to send our gratitude.Thank you for letting us use your shooting range and using your weapons. We were well supervised and the tour is good fun too. You can get a map of the museum to guide you through the many static displays. A solemn memorial to the fallen officers is beautifully constructed and presented in the center of room. They have many historical artifacts including uniform patches from all around the United States. Various restraint and execution methods are setup. If you are truly interested in the subject material I would recommend giving this area four hours. The displays are quite detailed and the staff is very knowledgeable about any additional questions that you may have. The memorial Wall is stunning and will take your breath away. they have actual vehicles used from situations where officers have fallen in the line of duty. The memorial for Matt Williams and his K-9 partner DOG is a sombering reminder of what officers have to deal with on a daily basis. They also offer a top-of-the-line gun range that is absolutely amazing. The pricing is extremely affordable and they allow you to rent machine guns if that piques your interest. Please support your local law enforcement and local museums as this is not operated at a major financial gain.

This was the first Police Museum in the US. They have added to it over the years. They have a crime scene for you to evaluate; an electric chair; a 9/11 memorial; crime fighting through the years with photos and newspaper articles on Al Capone and Elliott Ness, and many others; information and displays of guns and ammunition; display of make shift “weapons”; and a kids dress up area as police. Lots of different displays including police cars and motorcycles through the years. They have a great display of police badges from around the US. In one corner they have a toy room where they gift wrap new toys they buy with donations and any police officer’s children whose parent has been killed while on duty are sent a gift for their birthday and Christmas every year until they turn 18 in memory of their parent. Very moving! In the center of the museum they have a Very Well Done Memorial to police officers who have died during duty.
