Did not expect it to be so large or detailed, easily 3-4 hour visit. Very informative. We wore masks and people were very spread out, so felt very comfortable.

This is a self guided museum. Eight main rooms of exhibits and each room is marked. They also have hands on exhibits for kids to try on cloths from that time period and toys that kids played with. Nice little museum to spend a couple of hours if you have the time when passing through Tiffin. The bathrooms were very clean.

A nice Civil War Museum by comparison to anywhere else Ive been in Ohio. The tour is self-guided so you can take your time and spend as much time as you need checking out the relics or informative rooms.I am a history buff that has been to nearly every Civil War Battlefield and all of the major museums so by comparison alone this was a little under the radar and not up to par with some of those, but, to find a jewel like this in the midst of Ohio and get some true informational value was pretty neat.Nice little gift shop, where I bought a neat little glass version of Bunker Church. In respect to what it was, where it was, and the men running it which were two of the most enthusiastic gentlemen Ive ever met I would highly recommend for any Civil War Buff.Im not overly convinced that the average person would enjoy this as much as me, as much of it was signs, and self-made informational areas. I wouldnt particularly drive to far out of my way to visit, but, if youre a history buff in the area and passing then its something worth swinging by, enjoying, and helping to keep these guys in operation so our history may continue to be preserved.

It is truly amazing. (Some aspects of it fit perfectly with the book Ive written, and except for the photos and drawings, I will have it published sometime this fall.)From much of my great-grandfathers daily notes from his ledger--while serving in the 27th Ohio Volunteer Union Army--were somewhat smudged from heat, rain, sleet and snow over a long period of time, as the notes were written with a pencil.

The museum was well arranged with plenty of information and supporting artifacts. Hands-on opportunities abound, and the library is available for research or for just a bit of learning. Staff available to answer questions and provide information, but not overbearing. May sign up to volunteer!

This is a must see if your into American history or just American civil war history. There are many great displays and knowledgeable people to answer your questions.Ohio sent more soldiers to die for Lincoln than any other state except New York.
