History lessons can be sometimes boring. Not here! The staff were very friendly and accommodating even though we arrived only 10 mins prior to closing time. They took time to tell the 100-year history of the town and it was both informative and fun.No entry fee but there is a suggested donation of $5. Just drop the donation in the jar if you feel like it.Kids would love it (as an adult, I did too). The models do work so just ask them for a demo.Well maintained and neat.
I loved it. You can learn a little bit about tiburon’s history
A small model of the train, children especially enjoy the train.
Sweet spot near gorgeous views
A charming and lovely museum and historical house, the highlight of the Tiburon Railroad and Ferry Depot Museum is a model railroad complete with ferries waiting at the end of railroad tracks.
Great stories from knowledgeable curators. thank you for your efforts
It was beautiful.
CAUTION: Museum is only open April through October, despite the hours listed on Google Maps.During those months, the exhibits and extensive working model of the old Tiburon railroad yard are worth seeing.
It is a very historic building, with a large model train diorama of what Tiburon (the railroad town) looked like around 1910. By coming here, you can increase your understanding of the railroad history of Tiburon, and the whole North Coast, as far north as Eureka.
Good place to get a bit of local history. Tiburon was a railroad town.
